New Necrons?
What have I missed?
AFAIK, a new edition for Necrons has been in the works for awhile now.
The size of the fleet itself is pretty small but each ship is very deadly thanks to the gauss weaponry.
As for their ships, I think the Battlefleet Gothic models are the only ones in existence.
Oh, found pictures.

That thing in the sort of middle - I have no idea what that is. Could be an old model but it's not being sold anymore
Are you implying that Grey Knights will not fuck up your shit? I'm tired of people claiming that just because of Matt Ward, Grey Knights either suck or 'would be better if Matt Ward wouldn't had toyed around with their fluff'.
1. I directly compared one with the other in direct corollary, meaning both are badasses.
2. You can be tired of it all you want, it's still true, which is neither here nor there.
Am I the only one who just collects and paints WH40k models. I have no interest in playing the tabletop game, but I enjoy painting them.

Usually I don't play at home and its too much hassle packing models to go play at the local GW store. I like to savour the moment when I do though play at home though.
Alright guys, I'm in dire need of some help. As of right now, Space Marine is entirely unplayable for me. I know what the problem is (dying PSU) but I can't fix it. SM crashes my computer within a second of getting to the main menu, so I need a way to swap the game off of 1680*1050 out of game. I can get it to run windowed, that was fine. I found no configuration file in my steamapps/common/space marine folder, and I can't find ANYTHING on command line switches/launch options for SM. Everything is for DoW2. I'm hoping that I can sacrifice my graphic experience for playability. I'm fine running it 1280*1024 windows on low graphics just so I don't pull more power than I've have available.
Help, please?
Okay, what was the discussion about Necrons and the dominion of man a few pages back? It seems as if you believe they are more powerful, why?
They "finished" science and thus all they do when fighting other races is just fucking around so the C'tan can feed on their fear or something
Basically they'd be unstoppable of GW had decent writers
No. Please don't associate your Necrons with the Tomb Kings. You insult the kingdom of Khermi.

Khemri
If I recall correctly Tomb Kings are benign while Necrons are evil zombie robots who want everything dead.
If anyone says Necrons are anything else they are liars and heretics to the furthest degree.

Sorry.

I wish Grey Knights weren't so hard to paint at times (in my opinion).
I suppose i need a thinner brush.
New PSU
I'm aware of that. However, I don't have to money for a new one. I'm looking at 800W so I don't have to worry about it for a while, and they're $130... that I don't have.

Yup, the Warp is the only thing capable of truly hurting the C'tan (as opposed to just their bodies), so they use the Necrons to scour the galaxy and eradicate all life, as the Warp (and therefore Chaos) is fueled by the thoughts and souls of living creatures.
They've also only just started to wake up from their eons long slumber (although I think Tomb Worlds will always mount a defense against anything trying to delve too deep).
EDIT: Wow, you can't even order the Necron codex off the GW website anymore. Or the Witch Hunters codex, which is a shame, Witch Hunters were cool.

The C'Tan are foolish.
Once everything except them is gone, they'll simply eat for who knows how long, and eventually, i suppose they'll starve seeing as most planets/stars will be gone due to their feeding.
Just incase you didn't know, in fluff lore, their gauss weapons pretty much ensure that anything but the lighted glancing blow = you're dead. Theres even records of a Necron Destroyers Gauss weapon going through both sides of a land raider.
They are also merciless, unrelenting, practically unstopable. OH and if they get damaged too much, they teleport to safety to be rebuild. OH and they're mostly asleep and only just waking up, so yes, very very bad.
Considering technology increases exponentially, you would think that the imperium of man would achieve such by 40-thousand-years in the future.
Yes, though Tomb Worlds are generally hard to find unless by luck or accident (and in either case usually react to the threat to leave no survivors)
Except that Imperium of Man had a number of technological setbacks, and anything new has to go through millennia of experimentatons, bureaucracy, and approval by cults.

Also, anyone knows where to start a search for places that sell GW products? I'd love to start on a "small" IG squad, maybe alongside a Chimera.

On GW's site, there's a store finder, that finds all the stores near you that sell GW products.
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/storelocator/search.jsp
It took you two hours to assemble it and when it broke you only took less than an hour repairing it?
Good job.
Now tell me your secrets. :v:
Part of the initial two hours was removing the pieces from the sprues. I stabbed myself with a hobby knife during that process. And when I put something together once, it isn't as hard if I do it again so it takes less time.

Ok, found something I wanted to check. Game Castle. They work till 10PM tomorrow, so I might just take a look what they've got there.

That's not entirely correct. The Necrons scour the galaxy of life to feed the C'tan, which find mortal souls far more appetizing than the stars they originally consumed. But yes, they have an exceptional hatred for the Warp and those who use it, hence why in the Dark Crusade after-action report for the Chaos Stronghold it said the Necrons atomized the entire plateau.

Humanity has known to find ways around it, oh well, the Warhammer universe is pretty convenient.

Wait, so is there a possibility that all the space-faring races (also Chaos) could work together to remove the Necrons and C'tan? What are C'tan by the way (sorry for not knowing too much, I only recently got really into Warhammer [thanks to you guys])?
It keeps happening
