Pretty sure the Chaos is a big threat.
I didn't include Chaos since it's generally known that they are one of the biggest threats.
Pretty sure the Chaos is a big threat.
Ye but chaos technology is pretty similar to Space marines, isn't it?
As gudman said, it's the GT failing that is the biggest problem. Also, Tyranids and Necrons are greatly exaggerated by fanboys, especially Tyranids (doesn't mean they aren't a threat though). Second biggest problem is Cadia falling. If it does, shit's gonna go down.
Are there any good abandonware/freeware civ/master of orion/total war wh games?
Are there any good abandonware/freeware civ/master of orion/total war wh games?
Closest thing you'll get to a TW is Final Liberation or Shadow of the Horned rat (don't know if either are abandonware though). Seems DoW3 will be more like TW (or at least larger scale than DoW1 and 2).
Second biggest problem is Cadia falling. If it does, shit's gonna go down.
How could I miss that. Now that sucks, I love Cadia (and I believe everyone does).
So your discussion along with retribution's finale intro has me confused. Is the Emperor dead or not (soulwise)
If Inquisitor from Watson is still canon, then his mind and soul have fractured and each part is doing something, not completely focused in one single area. Guiding the armies of manking, helping some individuals and struggling against the forces of chaos in the warp. Also isn't someone working on a Wh40k CivV mod?
As gudman said, it's the GT failing that is the biggest problem. Just need to increase conscription a few fold. I think the number was 400%.
I didn't include Chaos since it's generally known that they are one of the biggest threats.
Chaos? A threat? Maybe when they get rid of Abaddon the Armless and actually hire someone competent.
Second biggest problem is Cadia falling. If it does, shit's gonna go down.
I wonder if the Necrons would step in if Chaos starts fucking with the pylons [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]

Two left hands
It hurts to see the Emperor in this state.
Not really. He got what he deserved, in my opinion.
Not really. He got what he deserved, in my opinion.
Because?
How did the Emperor even get so powerful? I read the Lexicanum article, but it doesn't tell you how the hell he got so much power.
Because?
Because he basically told the chaos gods to go fuck off after they did him a favor. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
How did the Emperor even get so powerful? I read the Lexicanum article, but it doesn't tell you how the hell he got so much power.
Because it's believed that 10 shamans sacrificed themselves to create the Emperor, and all these shamans were supposedly powerful psykers.
How did the Emperor even get so powerful? I read the Lexicanum article, but it doesn't tell you how the hell he got so much power.
No-one knows. The old "shamans pooling together into one being" was canned unless I'm mistaken (supposedly he was born in Anatolia, and was Saint George, the dragon being the Void Dragon, but it never states where he got all this power from).
Ye but chaos technology is pretty similar to Space marines, isn't it?
Only if your space marines have goddamn daemons fighting for them.
Only if your space marines have goddamn daemons fighting for them.
Daemons aren't related to chaos technology. Anyway, pharaoh, chaos and space marine technology is roughly the same, if not for a few changes regarding tanks, armor, their 'assault marine' equipment or such.
So if the C'tan were somehow killed, what would happen to the Necrons?
Truly Dread, mon. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
If Inquisitor from Watson is still canon, then his mind and soul have fractured and each part is doing something, not completely focused in one single area. I think the number was 400%.
No, they can't. The orks had twice the logistical output due to super waaagh! conditions in the Octantis campaign, and they are slowly but surely losing.
fanboys
Wrong. The only fanboy here is you. Necrons and Nids are as powerful as Chaos on home turf, or moreso. Nids own the logistical throughput and activation spectrum of 40K and that's not even up for debate. Necron tech is by far the best and that's not up for debate either. Raw Juju goes to Chaos in the Warp, and that's not up for debate either. There is no supreme power and everything is conditional by design, but whom has the biggest peepee in what area has been rather clearly delineated for over a decade and ain't nothin changed yet. (hint: it's not the Imperium and never has been)
Daemons aren't related to chaos technology.
Daemons come in every shape and size and can be bound to pretty much anything.
Because he basically told the chaos gods to go fuck off after they did him a favor. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Because it's believed that 10 shamans sacrificed themselves to create the Emperor, and all these shamans were supposedly powerful psykers.
What favor?
Helped him make the primarchs
Helped him make the primarchs
Allegedly.
What favor?
Judging from Fussy!'s info, not only did the Chaos gods give him immortality, but they also gave him the power to infuse the Warp into the material plane, and as Zezibesh said, helped him make the Primarchs/they let him make the Primarchs in his own image from within the Warp. Eventually, he built a massive geiller field which held the Chaos gods out of influence, he backstabbed the Chaos gods, and essentially, he's the reason why everything is in a bloody mess.
Also isn't someone working on a Wh40k CivV mod?
Does that actually exist? That sounds amazing.
No, they can't.
Yeah, everywhere they go, the Imperium is against a wall. Most of it's Crusades are defensive or aimed at recapturing lost territory. Even the Tau can forcibly annex worlds.
I'm positive one of the HH books said pretty much outright that he did it. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Googled, it was The First Heretic
Damnit, this is why I need to catch back up with HH
I think the "Emperor asked the Chaos gods for a favour" was just a trick to get Horus to be upset and eventually shank him.
I feel like this image is screaming the space marine treatment.
Brethren?
'Brethren'? There's a Space Marine and an Imperial Guardswoman there, get your shit straight, brother.
'Brethren'? There's a Space Marine and an Imperial Guardswoman there, get your shit straight, brother.
Sounds like heretic speech to me
Does that actually exist? That sounds amazing. Yeah, everywhere they go, the Imperium is against a wall. The Tau exist because they are allowed to.
On the topic of Tau, I found it sorta cool how the Ultramarines and Tau helped each other destroy the Necrons on Malbede. Although it was sorta heresy on the Marines part. (or was it? Would that be considered heresy?)
