I'm pretty sure its a requirement for all statues to the emperor to be detailed to the upmost degree.

What are fine cast minatures when it comes to the GW store? theres 2 versions of a hive tyrant one being fine cast, they both look the same from what i see but one is £5 more expensive

Finecast is resin, a cheaper alternative to metal. But they charge more for it and it's likely to have molding problems.
My pre-ordered copy of Space Marine just came in, included were the golden relic bolter, chainsword, Emperor's Elite, and Traitor Legions pack.

They don't charge more for it, it's just that when they were switching their models to finecast resin, they did the yearly price increase at the same time.

It's possible he was just at a battle that went very, very well. The command figured he'd have to have done something right, so they promote him.
Seems somewhat likely, given I doubt you'd see him charging into battle with a chain-sword any time soon.

A lot of people play/keep up with W40K on the Internet. You can basically just brin it up in conversation and a lot of people will know what you're talking about.

The king of them all.
/tg/ is general tabletop and pen-paper and cardgame forum but they have a huge concentration of wh players.
They also think of alot of entertaining stuff, make most of the famous homebrew chapters and sport their own wiki. Also some of their writefaggotry and such somehow ends up being canon.
For example: right now they have a thread about marine chapter that goes from point A to point B straight, ignoring everything that isn't mission-critical.

Just finished Space Marine sp campaign (took me a while because of the multiplayer, whaddya know) and i just wanted to say : fuck the last fight aaaaa

Well the main thing i died on was the [sp]second bloody wave [/sp] oddly enough - got overwhelmed too quickly. That, and Titus seemed to have brain farts regarding some of the combat rolls.
Had to repeat the whole thing about 5 times.
