Also, apparently Assault on Dark Reach (90$) is the only thing to come with mini Rule Book. Welp, I guess I must start with Ork/Mahreen army like everyone else.

I'm all kinds of new to Warhammer 40K. I did mess around in the demos for Dawn of War and Dawn of War II but I am generally not fantastic at RTS games. Where should I start anyway?

You made a good choice. I personally love how Cain is such an unreliable narrator, and how [sp]Amberley actually theorises that he really doesn't give himself enough credit sometimes, and that he's not the massive coward he makes himself out to be. (At least not all the time.)[/sp] I've been hooked since the first short story, but I've not had much time to read it lately.

I think a warrior would be interesting, 'cos there's more room for detail and stuff than a gaunt, but it isn't massive.

Or just more guns. They'd be cool as well.

Ah yes, the Guardsmen Sync Kills. Stabbing the enemy with a LasGun's bayonet and letting it out in full auto. Made Assaulting Tau, a very fun endeavor.

I decided to take a picture of every model I've painted so far. Yes I'm terribly slow at painting. As in so slow I only have one model STARTED the way I want them painted and I've had these models... over a year. And only played... a half dozen games. ...I'm terrible at this. ;__;

I've got roughly 1000 points. A little over or a little under depending on how I allocate them. I'm wanting to get a lot of painting in soon and at least base coat stuff.

Not such much Rarity of gene seeds but the fact that they only recruit the top 0.5% or something of humanity and even then not all of them making it. Also the complexity and lengthyness of making a Space Marine, also, while they were a conquering force, they pretty much just cracked the planet and left everything else afterwards up to the Imperial Army.

There was no IG, or Navy, they were all bundled up into one, the Imperial Army. Post Heresy they were split into the Guard and Navy.

Chapters nowadays are (mostly) kept down due to either following the Codex Astartes (which is the reason they were split into current chapters) or pressure to cut down their forces, thre are however, a few Codex and Non Codex following Chapters that bend it a lot, such as the Black Templars (with around 6000 Astartes, but split into crusading groups) and Space Wolves, whose great companies are practically autonomous chapters in themselves.

As seen in this picture, it has some kind of bolter attachment underneath it's power fist.

And if you look at that picture of the sprue for a Venerable dreadnought, you can see a flamer and bolter attachment, i think.
So maybe the only weapon choices underneath the GKV dread's power fist is a flamer or bolter.

True, but the damage is decreased, you just won't be completely immune to damage while doing sync kills.
