Last Stand is really fun. Level 7 Hive Tyrant wooo
Finally got Ciaphas Cain Omnibus of first 3 Novels. Also, apparently Assault on Dark Reach (90$) is the only thing to come with mini Rule Book. Welp, I guess I must start with Ork/Mahreen army like everyone else.
I'm all kinds of new to Warhammer 40K. I did mess around in the demos for Dawn of War and Dawn of War II but I am generally not fantastic at RTS games. Where should I start anyway?
Awesome. Do you still pose 40k stuff or such?
Ya, just working on some of them into gmod however. I have a few, but, they're more of a gag poses. edit Like this, The random people are from FP, Madmanmad, Myself, and Striker89.

Or give them to me. :D

Welp, I guess I must start with Ork/Mahreen army like everyone else.
You made a good choice. I personally love how Cain is such an unreliable narrator, and how [sp]Amberley actually theorises that he really doesn't give himself enough credit sometimes, and that he's not the massive coward he makes himself out to be. (At least not all the time.)[/sp] I've been hooked since the first short story, but I've not had much time to read it lately.
I have some 40k stuff too:
Whoa those are awesome
Those Imperial props (benches, eagles and stuff), are they released or did you just HEAVILY photoshop them in?

I'd like to see more.
Suddently nice art everywhere
Your stuff is coming along really nicely, this looks good. I'd like to see more.
Thanks! ill draw some more tomorrow. anything specific you'd like me to draw?
Thanks! ill draw some more tomorrow. anything specific you'd like me to draw?
Second Edition Zoanthrope. With shades.
Thanks! ill draw some more tomorrow. anything specific you'd like me to draw?
I think a warrior would be interesting, 'cos there's more room for detail and stuff than a gaunt, but it isn't massive. Or just more guns. They'd be cool as well.
Retribution already has sync kills.
Not the same way DoW1 had them.
So what's the best mod to raise popcap and generally make the battles a lot larger in Retribution?
Not the same way DoW1 had them.
Ah yes, the Guardsmen Sync Kills. Stabbing the enemy with a LasGun's bayonet and letting it out in full auto. Made Assaulting Tau, a very fun endeavor.

I already have some reference pics- [t]http://www.antibodies-online.com/media/2/images/anti-AMACR+P504S+antibody_original_P504S-G-2.jpg[/t] [t]http://ilonggolivingincanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/DSC03037.jpg[/t] [t]http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs10/i/2006/109/d/6/Tyranid_Hive_Tyrant_by_thegreatdevourer.gif[/t] anybody have termagant/warrior refs?
I decided to take a picture of every model I've painted so far. Yes I'm terribly slow at painting. As in so slow I only have one model STARTED the way I want them painted and I've had these models... over a year. And only played... a half dozen games. ...I'm terrible at this. ;__; [t]http://i.imgur.com/TabY2.jpg[/t]
and you chose eldar to top it all off good night, and good luck
fuck yes psychic space elves good night to you, too, and thanks <3 [sp]I don't care if you're being sarcastic I'm too tired to give any amount of fucks[/sp]
I have around 300 pts of guard. NON-painted. No games played.
I've got roughly 1000 points. A little over or a little under depending on how I allocate them. I'm wanting to get a lot of painting in soon and at least base coat stuff.
Here's old ones I did. My last stuff has been shit because I got lazy. [thumb]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs45/f/2009/130/7/c/In_the_Face_of_death__we_stand_by_Gunnerth.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/122/e/d/And_they_wander_on_by_Gunnerth.jpg[/thumb] Here's one I started on, got lazy and left off to the side. Only did a few tiny things with it. Was going to be called "Wrath of the Deathless." But also works as "Dreadnoughts, pick up your toys." [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7xky5.jpg[/thumb] Want to edit it? Go nuts.

The fuck is that? It looks like someone tried to recreate the Puker from Dead Space 2! Actually, Dead Space models is an awesome idea. I wish I had the skill to paint them without fucking up royally.
So the reason behind them being in such small numbers now is rarity of geneseeds, the codex astartes, general rules to prevent legions tanking up numbers and having another heresy? What's the reason for them being so fewer now than they used to be?
Not such much Rarity of gene seeds but the fact that they only recruit the top 0.5% or something of humanity and even then not all of them making it. Also the complexity and lengthyness of making a Space Marine, also, while they were a conquering force, they pretty much just cracked the planet and left everything else afterwards up to the Imperial Army.
The IG was super buffed and so was the navy. Marines are now specialists and the tech to keep them maintained is dwindling and rare, plus no more rebelling when the navy can splat you from forever away. Chapters are kept small by tech and political concerns.
There was no IG, or Navy, they were all bundled up into one, the Imperial Army. Post Heresy they were split into the Guard and Navy. Chapters nowadays are (mostly) kept down due to either following the Codex Astartes (which is the reason they were split into current chapters) or pressure to cut down their forces, thre are however, a few Codex and Non Codex following Chapters that bend it a lot, such as the Black Templars (with around 6000 Astartes, but split into crusading groups) and Space Wolves, whose great companies are practically autonomous chapters in themselves.
Well, in DoW 1 normal dreadnoughts had a flamer built in to their hand. Does the venerable Dreadnought have one too? Because it has a more humanoid hand.
As seen in this picture, it has some kind of bolter attachment underneath it's power fist. And if you look at that picture of the sprue for a Venerable dreadnought, you can see a flamer and bolter attachment, i think. So maybe the only weapon choices underneath the GKV dread's power fist is a flamer or bolter. [editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
Not the same way DoW1 had them.
True, but the damage is decreased, you just won't be completely immune to damage while doing sync kills.
People posting GMod 40K stuff eh? Ponyville will be a Tomb World once more.
