you can say that again.
It is amazing how simple bitz can improve the basic assault on black reach dreadnought. :downs:
I thought it was a rather nice change, really. What changes were bad for Retribution?
Only in the campaign, where you now have resources and such to build squads. And the customization seems less.. just less of that in Chaos Rising. But then again, you can also play the story for every race in WH40K.
You know you could have just made them with greenstuff/milliput and cloth, roll the modelling material into a sausage shape, squash it slightly with the cloth to imprint the texture, cut sections off to make the bag.
Where's the point of that? They wouldn't feel like miniature boobs then.
Where's the point of that? They wouldn't feel like miniature boobs then.
I don't think those were boobs you were feeling if they felt like minature sandbags.

I preferred the 4-hero veteran styled campaign.

Also, why does that dreadnought have rockets attached to the top of it, if i may ask?
Took some pictures from a Warhammer 40k tournament that was held at the local store today. Got some more over Here. If you guys want to see the uber high-res versions of a specific picture then do tell. They are quite massive. (4928x3264!)

I preferred the 4-hero veteran styled campaign.
When I played on normal, Diomedes ended up becoming unkillable, and he started soloing dozens of Chaos Marines and Dreadnoughts without getting hurt. He would come out of the combat with nearly full health. Cyrus's slow-motion ability also allowed him to kill entire squads with his sniper rifle in seconds. The first shot would knock an enemy marine off his feet, and the second shot would kill him mid-air. [editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
What do you mean simple bitz? (4928x3264!)
Those models are awesome, i especially like the rusty/bloody effect on the marines in the second picture. Was there any prize for winning the tournament? Also, i checked the pictures out and found this: That Chimera is fucked. :v:
I wish there were WH40K tournaments and such here in my town too. I'd like to start reading the books too but i can't because i got 2 jobs now, earning loads of dosh.
They're Hunter-Killer missiles I think.
Yep. Used because Walkers can fire all their weapons even if they move each round, IIRC.

Where are you at the moment, if i may ask? Because if you're in England, it shouldn't be too hard to find a place to play tabletop.
Was there any prize for winning the tournament?
Every player had to pay 50 SEK to enter, which is around $7. All of the money goes to the winner. I think they basically get to pick something from the store with the money. [editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
Those models are awesome, i especially like the rusty/bloody effect on the marines in the second picture.
Yeah those marines are awesome. You can't see it in that picture, but he actually took shields and heads from the Bretonians. (From Warhammer Fantasy) The shields are on some of the rhinos and his scouts have the bretonian heads. Some Marines too I think.

Also, sorry, i don't really know too much about the Bretonians or what they look like.

And the Bretonians are pretty much English Medieval I think? They have kettle helmets at least.
And the Bretonians are pretty much English Medieval I think? They have kettle helmets at least.
basically
Pretty much yes. I believe the money is enough for that. And the Bretonians are pretty much English Medieval I think? They have kettle helmets at least.
Kinda, but with a lot of France and Arthurian Ledgend thrown into the mix.
I think it's more likely that the Emperor could have been Alexander the Great.
You dare say that he could have been Colin Farrel?

Thinking about starting this tabletop stuff, looks very interesting. Also I finished DoW2 on primarch, Oh yeah. Jox was mean and left at 85% on the co-op campaign (we had done everything together on primarch) so I had to solo the rest, hard as shit. Though, i imagine there were like 3 tournaments, each based on the amount of points, like, a 500 point army tournament, 1000 point army tournament, etc? Or were all of the armies there simply 500 points or so?
There isn't a Games Workshop or hobby store within 100 miles of me if the GW site tells the truth.
There isn't a Games Workshop or hobby store within 100 miles of me if the GW site tells the truth.
What is your location, a lot of times GW doesn't have the smaller stores.
There isn't a Games Workshop or hobby store within 100 miles of me if the GW site tells the truth.
Usually certain shops that also sell comics and other things related also carry 40k, at least the ones in my City. But i've not seen any tabletop game like WH40K being sold anywhere in Norway so far.
That's awesome, where was it held? Thinking about starting this tabletop stuff, looks very interesting.
It was held at Playoteket in Malmö. So if you live down here then you are in luck. But there are lots of stores in Sweden. [editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
That's awesome. There were 20-30 year olds playing against 10-13 year olds and it was evenly matched. The point setup was 750 points in this tournament at least.
