I want more details on DoW3 or Dark Millenium...
Me too, especially DoW3.
I also was upset with some details in space marine. The game is very good ,but i wish i could have used more of the might of the empire(massive IG charges, dreadnoughts, baneblades and mainly terminators )
Kinda makes you wonder what the fuck took four years. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline]
So... the orks are basically sentient fungus?
Yes.
Exterminatus is the Coop mode right? Since if that is true then I would consider buying the game. Stomping Orks with friends has to be a lot of fun.
Yeah, Exterminatus is the Co-Op mode for Space Marine.
Well the current Orks were warriors created by another species of green skins who also had Waaaaaagh but the Orks some how wiped them out. Or something like that.
uh what pretty sure that they were created by the Old Ones according to current fluff
Krork -> Ork. Not really complicated. If it's green, goes waagh and has a cocnkey accent, it's a duck.
Kinda makes you wonder what the fuck took four years. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline] Yes.
Do you have any idea how long it takes to make a game? Never mind the end tweaking and trying to cram in as much as you can into one space.
Um yeah, I'm in game design. So yes, I do know how long it takes, and considering how many contractors worked on this game, four years is a long damn time.
They decided to switch engines mid-development.
Check the Witcher 2 and this game.... both were four years in ramp up with engine concerns and both will have a large component enhancement. One of these was planned from the ground up, one of these is coming out late to meet THQ's release schedule. One of these will have lifetime free product enhancement, one of these you will be paying seven dollars for a silver skin with some specular effects. relic is an absolutely great company. Their publisher is not.
uh what pretty sure that they were created by the Old Ones according to current fluff
Indeed they where.
They probably did way more than you're seeing now. Do you remember the picture with the commander holding a combi plasma? Do you really think they wasted 4 years only to gives us the game? They probably worked on DLC content or even an expansion. They're still working on it, that is
Well the current Orks were warriors created by another species of green skins who also had Waaaaaagh but the Orks some how wiped them out. Or something like that.
Orks and Eldar were created by the Old ones to fight the Necontyr.
Orks and Eldar were created by the Old ones to fight the Necontyr.
And then that backfired amazingly and they're now warring for superiority. Silly Old Ones. They fucked up everything. Though, I guess, if the Necrontyr hadn't brought the C'Tan into form they'd still be eating people's stars, so I guess that was kinda necessary or else there wouldn't be any stars left. So the C'Tan fucked up everything. Dicks.
I prefer these voices to the dawn of war 2 ones Oh, and,
I know I'm probably gonna regret this, but what does a female ork look like?
Can't find any that are 40k related, I'm disappointed in rule 34... though i did find this which made me laugh [img_thumb]http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/9/5/136622_md-Female,%20Orks,%20ork%20kommando%20with%20comparizon.jpg[/img_thumb]
What did the Old Ones look like?
I like to imagine fairly humanoid. They must have based all those species they created off of something, and since the only other notable creatures of that time were the Necrontyr whom they hated with a passion, it seems fairly likely they based them off themselves.
What did the Old Ones look like?
Possibly the lizardmen Slaan from WHF. Atleast i think they were described as similar.
Possibly the lizardmen Slaan from WHF.
Even in death I still surf.
Fixed.

I've been reading into a lot of the Warhammer 40k lore because I love it. I wish I could do the whole miniture things but they're expensive and I have no artistic ability to paint. I've always wondered what I'd be. Tau or Imperial Guard if I decided to play and I found the perfect thing. Gue'vesa whom are just Imperial Guardsmen and other Humans who embrace the Greater Good and have been absorbed into the Tau Empire.
Better hide yo' Russes.

And don't worry, artistic ability doesn't really matter, there are guides on how to paint models, and i pretty much painted my Grey Knight Terminators with some of the colors mentioned on the back of the GKT package.

That sucks. I mean, couldn't you just buy a pack of Tau and a pack of Imperial Guardsmen and just replace the heads and stuff? Paint them unique colors? Link to some of these guides? Because I'd love to do this sort of thing. My friends would too but I'm the only one who'd spend $50+ on plastic unpainted, unbuilt minitures. I did the who Model Trainset thing when I was like 8 so I'm used to building models. But painting is the hard part.

As shown in this video, you'll also have to get the Guardsman to hold a Pulse Carbine, note, making a conversion for a first model can be quite hard, i wouldn't really recommend it, but it's your choice.
Thanks for the video and Zezibash for the guides. I'll probably make Tau first until I was comfortable enough with the whole thing. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline] Alright, I convinced my friend to try Warhammer 40k with me. I'm going to get a squad of Tau soldiers to start off with. But like, any other recommendations? Starter kits for glue and paint etc.
The Imperium should totally make a fake Gue'Vesa so they could spy on the Tau
I just use super glue and Citadel paints. :v:
