Steve Blum is a man of many voice, all of them Steve Blum.
You've got the High Steve, the ultra high Steve, the not so high but not normal, the Normal, the I need a glass of water, and the ultra low Steve.
Save when he's at the extreme end, there's that one gravel to his voice that is always there. But hey, works for Cyrus.
Anywhere I can read more lore? The wiki is fine but not enough. I'd prefer it be free, like a website or something full of canon information but anything is fine. I like Tau and Imperial Guard stuff.
Even if I can't get into making and playing with the figures I can immerse myself in lore. I always hated Lord of The Rings, the original Warhammer and such. But Warhammer 40k doesn't have stupid cliches and even when they do at least they're badass and cool looking or at the very least mildly interesting.

I hope you're kidding. 40k has more clichés than TV Tropes.

That was posted last page, just so you know.
Anyway 40k isn't really cliché, unless you consider men wearing cardboard armor with flashlights as their weapon fighting against countless mutated enemies and fungus as cliché.

It's way more cliche than that.

Care to name any of the clichés?
I know the Space Marines might be a bit of a cliché, but any other clichés?
The high-technological super aliens who are few in numbers (and dwindling a.k.a elves) : Eldar
The crude, but ruggedly effective beasts who prefer close combat : Orks
The alien race that are not beasts, but disgusting and filthy monsters who infest their enemies lands before invading : Tyranid
The authorities are completely ruthless and are willing to throw mankind against the enemies if it means the tide is stopped : The Imperium
"Magic" being common and everyone who uses it is frowned upon and should be executed (but the authorities use it anyways because fuck laws they make) : Psykers etc
Those are the things I can come up with.

Eldar - Space Elves
Tau - SPACEU SAMURAIIII
Orks - Space Orcs
Humans - Dicks in Space
Chaos - Space Demons
Necrons - Robot Undead in Space
I realise this is a massive generalisation, so please don't yell at me.

I don't see how the first, second and fourth lines in that post are cliché.
And Tyranids were basically copies of the aliens from Starship Troopers, though they have much more interesting lore, imo. (not actually, 40k copied zergs from starcraft1!!!1!)
And yeah, magic is pretty much cliché, so i'll agree with you on that, but at least they named magic as Psychic abilities instead of magic, i guess.

Well you pretty much added 'space' to each race/creature, so i don't really think any of those clichés are valid.
How the f*ck should i beat chaos campaign in dow2 retribution? Also, as i tried space marine game, it sucked. But anyway,i get only to the third chapter, should i play more or whole game would suck like first 2 chapters?

Space clichés are still clichés, they're just in SPEHSS.
I really hope you're not taking this whole debate particularly seriously, people's just messin'

Chaos campaign is easy in DoW2 retribution, are you at the FINAL BOHS?
Anyway, Space Marine gradually gets better, i suggest you play more.

Are you sure it's from Dow2: Retribution?
I can't remember that mission.

Dude, look at the library of YMMV Tropes on the TV Tropes article.
It's literally got every single sci-fi trope in the universe.
Edit:
This is just the A-H range.

Browsed for like 1 minute and already found something interesting:
Howling Banshees do have male members according to the lore, though they are rare. This is not, however, represented in any of the models.
Holy shit, i did not know that.

They also wear female shaped breastplates.
So they're screaming space elf trannies in white armor.

I know, but highly technogical 'space elves' doesn't really sound cliché to me.
In the end it's only adding 'space' to the word.

Don't worry, bro. We've all been there.
Edit:
In fact, I'm there right now.
There's a lot more cliche in it than you think harry, you just have to really know the lore to spot them all.

You're going to always have a race of super technologic (but few) in any sci-fi/fantasy setting, so I'd call that cliché
Same with the second, I don't think there is any sci-fi/fantasy setting where there isn't some sort of race/faction that are extremely crude and loves melee, with numbers well beyond counting. I'll give GW props for thinking up "If they think it works, it works!" though.
Fourth I can agree with being a stretch, it isn't an uncommon setting to have the government being completely zealous and as 'evil' as it is in warhammer 40k.
It's pretty cliché to call it something else than magic too :v:

If lord of the rings were set in the future, then the elves would be exactly like the eldar :v:
