I don't have hobby shops here. The closest one is in New Jersey I think and I live in New York. This is all online. I figure I just get a pack of Fire Warriors. Can't go wrong with that can I? I mean, you NEED basic infantry to support anything else. And if I'm not capable of doing a decent job on making and painting up units than there is no point for me to buy a rule-book and codex if I stop at one box. What is wash by the way? Paints, Glue, Fire Warriors but I don't know what wash is.
It's a far less thick colour that is used to shade as, the wash sinks into recesses but colours raised surfaces less.
I'm glad I only bought every single Wh40k game for PC, the tabletop sounds like an awesome way to waste (no offense) money.
Upgrading your PC every few years actually costs more than getting a decent 1500 point army. The models will still be viable five years later. Your PC will not.
And once again, I need some inspiration with my figs! Currently I am TRYING to paint my marines, but I just don't feel like painting them. What should I do to gain some inspiration? Maybe buy other units (Tau or something?) or what?
Also, regarding the discussion about whether Commander Farsight's blade is a Daemon Weapon or not: Tau are blanks, so it would be logical if the blade was a Daemon Weapon, seeing as they probably wouldn't sense the taint within the weapon. Maybe I should just put everything back into that dark box, store it and forget my WH40K figs for the next 5 years again. That's what happened to me last time, when I lost my inspiration. Feels bad men. Totally custom schemes are a NO-GO for me, since I'm such a lore-whore. Also I know few awesome chapters, but I don't have the required paints for them and I'm maybe a bit afraid to test them. But yeah that's one of the ways to get inspired, I always get this inspirational feel, when I'm thinking about different schemes and how I would actually paint them with those colors (highlighting etc and the actual product), but that inspiration never lasts long enough for me to actually start a new project. Like I was thinking about painting my Dark Angels company master as a Legion of the damned "unit" (I even had few sketches about it, but then I lost my inspiration again (also I was to afraid to fuck things up). And then again Lotd does not have a Company master like that.

Doesn't really break too much fluff, and Dark Angel company masters are AWESOME, in my opinion. Go for it, bro, if you fail, you can just remove the paint and start over/paint over the mistake you did.

OH AND ABOUT THAT! I have this old and fucked up predator (Once tried to prime it, but the actual primer was messed up and old) and I would need to remove paint from it (plastic ofcourse). Are there any easy ways to remove the primer and some of those undercoats (I tried to paint on it, even if it was hopeless)? I have seen few tutorials, but most of them just warn about using those techniques for plastics, since it would melt away the details on them.
I thought they weren't blanks, they just have a very low warp presence.

Reminds me strongly of Zero Punctuation, though it could just be the accent :v:
I mean no offense towards those of you who have tattoos. But before this thread somehow turns into a tattoo discussion, getting a tattoo practically searing your flesh with a pen to get some kind of badass drawing/mark on your skin, and it just doesn't sound like a good thing to do, if only for cosmetic purposes. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] You should get paint along with those, not just glue and one pack of some tau units. However, before anything, you should get a rulebook and codex, there's this point system in tabletop and there are certain point restrictions for who you play with, like, the enemy has a 500 point army, then you must also have a 500 point army, etc. Plus you'll have to know which units cost how many points, etc.
tattoos are awesome. and the "searing your flesh" shit what the fuck is that man? "i hate it when people drink soda, because they keep putting so much shit into their body"
tattoos are awesome. and the "searing your flesh" shit what the fuck is that man? "i hate it when people drink soda, because they keep putting so much shit into their body"
I think tattoos are pretty cool. Wouldn't get one myself though. And let's stop this before it get's into one of those silly arguments. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] Those Power Swords..... I want.
tattoos are awesome. and the "searing your flesh" shit what the fuck is that man? "i hate it when people drink soda, because they keep putting so much shit into their body"
The pen they use to make tattoos practically is searing ink into your skin/flesh. And that isn't a very good example, in my opinion. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline]
I thought they weren't blanks, they just have a very low warp presence.
I think they're blanks, but either way, they probably wouldn't be able to sense if there was a daemon within Farsight's blade.
I would get the mark of the Inquisition and make it in real life. With gold outline, ivory skull, obsidian inlays and some cast iron painted red. "Do you realize just how fast you were going there?" *I flash the mark* "An honor to meet you lord inqusitor" [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] Still not as looty as the blood magpies.

I think they're blanks, but either way, they probably wouldn't be able to sense if there was a daemon within Farsight's blade.
Blanks block out psychic effects near them, and also makes anyone nearby feel uneasy. Tau do not do either of those, they just have a low warp presence. They COULD be corrupted but it's not really worth all the effect.
I think they're blanks, but either way, they probably wouldn't be able to sense if there was a daemon within Farsight's blade.
Tau are not blanks, but they don't really have a warp presence like nightlord said. Blanks kind of disallow warp majyyks around them as well, you see. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] Oh well, ninja'd by nightlord. That's what I get for having many tabs and not F5ing.
The pen they use to make tattoos practically is searing ink into your skin/flesh. And that isn't a very good example, in my opinion.
I don't believe the needle sears the ink into your skin. It just puts ink 1/16th inches into the skin. Anyways, I needs to find me a hobby store. I really want to make a Space Wolves army for myself. The only downside is my hands aren't the most steady of hands.
Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
More disturbing still are the rumours of Chaos Space Marines appearing from nowhere on the pleasure world of Belisimar, and the intervention of shimmering metallic warriors in almost every warzone of the Thracian Primaris system. Bizarrely, the rumours correlate on one fact alone: the Necrons are fighting alongside the forces of the Imperium, not against them. This unholy alliance is the only factor halting a full-scale insurgence across the worlds of the Scarus sector.

Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
Holy shit, what?
Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
Whaaaaaaaaatttt????
Not sure if it has anything to do with Matt Ward.
Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
HERESY! also source?
HERESY! also source?
13th Black Crusade, which i think was a Campaign GW did. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/13th_Black_Crusade#.ToSbclmn_K2
Pff, Necrons saving the Imperium. Matt Ward has got to be behind this.
Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
Considering that the C'tan and Necrons in general are very susceptable to warp energies, it seems reasonable to assume they don't want the material universe invaded by a large group of pure warp entities. Let alone entities with thousands of years of warp contact dominating the galaxy. Although personally I'd prefer if it turned out someone found an intact STC with a non-corrupt Iron Man schematic and started pumping them out to fight Chaos.

And they wouldn't create more Iron Men as the last ones betrayed them.
Sort of a Space Marine spoiler [sp]so what do you guys think is the reason behind Titus'es resistance to the warp, protagonist plot armor or something actually cool, maybe heretical?[/sp]
Yeah, it makes sense, that the Necrons would turn up to fight the warp using Chaos forces, i wouldn't see it neccesarily as the 'crons saving the Imperials, but prioritising their targets to what they percieve to be the greater threat.
