Ah, alright. Thanks. I thought the models were all made by one company.
Forgeworld is a separate line of models made by a third party company that comes with their own experimental, non-canon rules. They attempt to be balanced, but, like I said, it's all third party work. My thoughts, though, is that some of the models look really cool and could actually be fun to use as normal models just to spice things up a bit.
Well, Forge World is technically part of GW, they're a subsidiary company, but yeah pretty much as you said.
No there isn't, as long as you followed the rules of WYSIWYG (which is the norm for GW tournaments) and have the weapon options represented on the model, you could use a 1st edition model. There have been cases where GW workers have said no, only because they didn't know it was a 1stEd model etc etc. [editline]30th September 2011[/editline] Not the UK one, besides which there are plenty of alternatives, some better, some cheaper, some both. Hell you could turn up to a tournament with this and by GW's rules (models must be a cerain % Games Workshop parts) you should be able to play, of course, you look like a bit of a dick if you do that, and its the tournament host's discretion whether you could play or not.
Oh, but do they have armor made out of self-repairing metal? I think the Necrons would win against them, unless the Men of Iron swarm their tomb worlds. Thanks for your answers, guys.
We're talking about technology from the very peak of human prowess. Essentially the majority of current imperial tech is just a shadow of what it used to be. I'd say that the Iron men definitely stood a chance against the cron. Though I think their weakness was a lack of space travel as that requires warp sensitivity. So they were all bound to planets.

That might be a tiny bit of an issue.
I was talking about the original iron men :P The emperor's decree happened only long long after the war. During unification. Though I think AI isn't directly banned to the admech, but unlimited potentially self improving AI is - uh mass effect distinction between VI and AI I guess.
Well, Forge World is technically part of GW, they're a subsidiary company, but yeah pretty much as you said.
Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
I thought that Forge World was always supported by GW.
What's a good site to get some Tyranids? I'm currently looking on the official GamesWorkshop site, but is there anywhere else?
I thought that Forge World was always supported by GW.
It is. They just have some units that aren't exactly in the codex's so some people at tournies have issues is what I'm getting at.
I am now officially a hardcore Warhammer 40,000 fan. I just bought myself the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, a Hobby Starter kit, and a Tyranid army. It feels amazing, even if I am dirt poor again.
I've seen quite a few of this little facebook status thing, where they list a bunch of situations where you made fun of someone for some reason, then it ends with 'repost this if you're against bullying.' Well, Someone made a Lord of the rings version, and i decided to make a Warhammer 40k one. I don't think anyone made one before me, but if they did, Sorry. The Cultist you just called weak? His friend was sacrificed to appease the Dark gods. The Nurgling you called ugly? he spends hours Polishing his horn and applying Deoderant just so he can be around the other deamons. The Dark Eldar wych you just Called Sadistic? she's been staving off a god eternally hungry for her soul. See that Ogryn, with the Bulky frame, ripper gun and buck teeth? He was rejected from the B.O.N.E. head Project. That Ork you just made fun of for Trying and failing to add more dakka? he just got called a grot by his warboss. The Space marine with the disfiguring scar? He fought for over 3 centuries against the enemies of man. Repost this if you're against bullying in the grim darkness of the 41[SUP]st[/SUP] millenium. Feel free to post it as you're status on facebook, I would but i don't think any of my friends know what warhammer 40k is.
I just realized the Tau have like a Samurai thing going for them. This one has a fucking Katana for some reason. Whatever happened to that hand-to-hand combat-deficiency?
they look sick until you get to the hooves mooooooooooooooooo
Does anyone make replica Warhammer 40k gear? I'd kill (a thousand heretics) for a commissar's cap with the Imperial double headed eagle.
No there isn't, as long as you followed the rules of WYSIWYG
And several model lines are invalidated by wysiwyg.
I wish I could find more people to play 40k with around here.
Just saw this about the 13th Black Crusade
FUCKING HERESY. Prioritizing enemies is one thing but they said they are fighting alongside the Imperium. This is fucking ridiculous. Necrons are my second favorite race, and they are raping them. [sp]Bold italics means I'm super serious.[/sp]
Does anyone know of any good/reliable/well stocked/whatever websites to get bitz from? Preferably based in the US if possible, the closer to the West Coast, the better, probably. The two sites I found were both UK based and didn't have the bitz I wanted. :I
So, if the Chaos Space Marine Chapters fled to Chaos early on, what happened to Marines who wanted to stay with the Emprah? I mean, some were bound to stay loyalist, touch of Chaos or not.
So, if the Chaos Space Marine Chapters fled to Chaos early on, what happened to Marines who wanted to stay with the Emprah?
The majority killed the minority. Minorities did not have Primarchs on their side.
Fair enough, it just seems with all these super-mighty heroes running about during the Heresy someone would have escaped, even moreso if they were in a Dreadnought.
Fair enough, it just seems with all these super-mighty heroes running about during the Heresy someone would have escaped, even moreso if they were in a Dreadnought.
Well, the Blood Ravens were most likely formed from loyalist Thousand Sons remnants. Some parts of the traitor legions probably did stay loyal, but were at a massive disadvantage as gufu said. Don't know what happened to those that survived, maybe they were just killed or maybe they started new chapters.
The majority killed the minority. Minorities did not have Primarchs on their side.
Not all of them died, [sp]Garviel Loken apparently went on to become a Grand Master of the Grey Knights somehow[/sp] and I think the rest probably fled to remaining loyalists and just became part of them.
I believe loyalists in traitor legions either got killed or either ended up joining the other legions if they survived. These groups were likely to small to form even a chapter and so I believe they got absorbed by other legions.
Not all of them died, [sp]Garviel Loken apparently went on to become a Grand Master of the Grey Knights somehow[/sp] and I think the rest probably fled to remaining loyalists and just became part of them.
I think that's [sp]Garro[/sp] from Flight of the Eisenstein. [sp]Loken got the fuck bombed out of him[/sp].
I think that's [sp]Garro[/sp] from Flight of the Eisenstein. Blood Bowl is at sale, should I buy it?
Didn't Blood Bowl somehow actually melt peoples graphics cards when it was first released.
