Well, Forge World is technically part of GW, they're a subsidiary company, but yeah pretty much as you said.

Not the UK one, besides which there are plenty of alternatives, some better, some cheaper, some both.
Hell you could turn up to a tournament with this and by GW's rules (models must be a cerain % Games Workshop parts) you should be able to play, of course, you look like a bit of a dick if you do that, and its the tournament host's discretion whether you could play or not.

We're talking about technology from the very peak of human prowess. Essentially the majority of current imperial tech is just a shadow of what it used to be. I'd say that the Iron men definitely stood a chance against the cron. Though I think their weakness was a lack of space travel as that requires warp sensitivity. So they were all bound to planets.

There is also the fact that truly artificial intelligence is banned by the emperor's decree. That might be a tiny bit of an issue.

I was talking about the original iron men :P The emperor's decree happened only long long after the war. During unification.
Though I think AI isn't directly banned to the admech, but unlimited potentially self improving AI is - uh mass effect distinction between VI and AI I guess.

It is. They just have some units that aren't exactly in the codex's so some people at tournies have issues is what I'm getting at.
I am now officially a hardcore Warhammer 40,000 fan. I just bought myself the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, a Hobby Starter kit, and a Tyranid army.
It feels amazing, even if I am dirt poor again.

Well, Someone made a Lord of the rings version, and i decided to make a Warhammer 40k one. I don't think anyone made one before me, but if they did, Sorry.
The Cultist you just called weak? His friend was sacrificed to appease the Dark gods.
The Nurgling you called ugly? he spends hours Polishing his horn and applying Deoderant just so he can be around the other deamons. The Dark Eldar wych you just Called Sadistic? she's been staving off a god eternally hungry for her soul. See that Ogryn, with the Bulky frame, ripper gun and buck teeth? He was rejected from the B.O.N.E. head Project. That Ork you just made fun of for Trying and failing to add more dakka? he just got called a grot by his warboss. The Space marine with the disfiguring scar? He fought for over 3 centuries against the enemies of man. Repost this if you're against bullying in the grim darkness of the 41[SUP]st[/SUP] millenium.
Feel free to post it as you're status on facebook, I would but i don't think any of my friends know what warhammer 40k is.

Well, the Blood Ravens were most likely formed from loyalist Thousand Sons remnants. Some parts of the traitor legions probably did stay loyal, but were at a massive disadvantage as gufu said. Don't know what happened to those that survived, maybe they were just killed or maybe they started new chapters.

Not all of them died, [sp]Garviel Loken apparently went on to become a Grand Master of the Grey Knights somehow[/sp] and I think the rest probably fled to remaining loyalists and just became part of them.
I believe loyalists in traitor legions either got killed or either ended up joining the other legions if they survived. These groups were likely to small to form even a chapter and so I believe they got absorbed by other legions.

I dunno I was looking on the Lexicanum because I really like the Luna Wolves and it's apparently [sp]Loken somehow, it said he managed to somehow survive the bombing and got a bit of amnesia or something[/sp] but it's in an audiobook and the last time I tried to listen to an audiobook I was doing some work and more or less just zoned it out.
