Maybe so they can use your body to summon Daemons if they want? Like a ~portal to another dimension~ in tattoo form.
That's not it. If that was the reason, a lot of imperial worlds would be overrun by Daemons now.
The Imperium is fucked anyway. As soon as the Emperor dies the entirety of humanity is doomed to extinction.
I wish that there was a video game that put you in command of titans. Or a battlefield style game with 128 players. I hope that DOW 3 has at least smaller titans like the Warhound, maybe even a Reaver or Warlord. Imperators would be too much I think. [editline]30th September 2011[/editline] Titans are cool.
Ya know sometimes I wonder if its even possible for the Gaurdsmen to kill something with their bayonets.
Of course they can. Sleeping Commissars.
There should be a first person shooter where you play as an Imperial Guard grunt. Everytime you die you switch to a different soldier on the battlefield. Considering the typical lifespan of IG is like five minutes tops this would be an ideal game for people suffering from ADD.
Five minutes? More like five seconds.
Hell you might even live a whole ten minutes if you dessert your post and manage to escape the Commissars gun. [editline]30th September 2011[/editline] Come to think of it that wouldn't be a fun game. ".. a random explosion killed me again." "Oh, I guess I got shot in the back.. and now I'm dead again.." "I think I stepped on a land mine that time." "I got caught in razor wire and I couldn't get out before I bled out.."
I ordered three books from The Black Library and I cant wait to read them.
Awesome, What books did you order, if i may ask?

Have you played warhammer 40k before? Do you have any friends who play? Do you have any place nearby where you can play warhammer 40k with friends/with new friends? Because spending that much money on something you haven't tried out (especially when you can spend 1/10th of that money to get a good sizeable starting army) seems like a really, really stupid idea.

He might finish the models... in 2014.

I was wondering, around how much would it cost me to start a little Space Wolf army? I have no experience with the tabletop. Oh and from what I've seen so far in this thread, I'm assuming a 500 point army is a nice starter correct? [sp] If I ever get rich I'll make a huge battle where Blood Angels and Necrons are fighting Chaos Grey Knights and having Blood Ravens flying around liberating relics. For now I'll just start small with a Space Wolf army :3 [/sp]
Why has BDA become an image macro here? [editline]30th September 2011[/editline] hilarious cache glitch :v: != bda's avatar
Even the seemingly great planets, like the one with the trade hub cities in one of the Gaunt books, had workers who had to slave away in those mines outside the city walls.
That was a hive, not what I'm talking about.

So uhhh.... Can the Emperor ever get resurrected? Because that would be the coolest thing ever.
So uhhh.... Can the Emperor ever get resurrected? Because that would be the coolest thing ever.
If a powerful warp being deigned it yes, then there are the theories.
If a powerful warp being deigned it yes, then there are the theories.
Hmmm, like a Chaos god? Well Tzeentch is the Chaos god of change, so he might possibly see fit to resurrect the Emperor? What would the Emperor do then?
Chaos gods are extremely powerful sentient warp entities. Given how powerful the Emperor is in the warp now, the star child theories about when he dies and his soul is completely in the warp turning him into an entity as powerful as the Chaos gods aren't too farfetched. Most likely when he dies he will stay in the warp and won't be reincarnated but it depends on how powerful he is there and if the Imperium can survive for a while without the astronomicon and the idea that the Emperor is dead.
Hmmm, like a Chaos god? Well Tzeentch is the Chaos god of change, so he might possibly see fit to resurrect the Emperor? What would the Emperor do then?
To be honest, I think the first thing on a a revived Emperor's "To do list" would be a tossup between going after the Chaos gods and decimating the Imperium. Chaos is the most obvious threat, but he's been stuck in that goddamn chair listening to these goddamn imbeciles twist all of his teachings to get away with whatever they goddamn please. For goddamn ages. His shit list with the guys calling the shots nowadays must be boundless.

If it wasn't for Horus...
So, do you guys still play Space Marine? I'm waiting on that new coop game mode to come out. Does anyone know when exactly it's out?
I still play. My new favourite thing to do is use the Blood Ravens armour, sit back with the Stalker Bolter and Tactical readout, wait for someone to engage an enemy in combat and then be very grateful for the saviour kill they gift me.

Alright, guys. Got a pair of questions for you. First, I'm reading Path of the Warrior, and will follow it up with Path of the Seer. I'm a little under a hundred pages in, but I read the back of both books. Seeing as how Path of the Warrior follows Korlandril, and Path of the Seer is said to follow Thirianna, logically that would mean Path of the Ranger should be the next in the series, and follow Aradryan, correct? Any rumors or news on that? Or is Path of the Seer too new? Secondly, I'm wanting to eventually make a Macha costume for cons or Halloween. I'm 6' and 130lbs, with naturally red hair that falls halfway down my back. Think I could pull it off?
