I can't seem to be able to get an even coloring when painting green, my yellow looks pretty smooth though. Any tips on how to get a smoother look with darker colors?
They could believe that the Imperium has become too corrupt or something so they leave and join the Tau Empire.
But doing so would be to abandon the Emperor.
But doing so would be to abandon the Emperor.
But it would be closer to acting acording to the Emperor's teachings
But it would be closer to acting acording to the Emperor's teachings
P. sure Big E's main teaching is basically HUMANITY NUMBER 1 joining with aliens and fighting UNDER them as their auxiliaries would be grave heresy
P. sure Big E's main teaching is basically HUMANITY NUMBER 1 joining with aliens and fighting UNDER them as their auxiliaries would be grave heresy
Guess you're right On an unrelated note, I ordered the "The Imperial Infantrymans Uplifting Primer"
But doing so would be to abandon the Emperor.
They could believe that the current state of the Imperium is not what the Emperor wanted, or something like that.
P. sure Big E's main teaching is basically HUMANITY NUMBER 1 joining with aliens and fighting UNDER them as their auxiliaries would be grave heresy
No, the Emperor did not hate Xenos. Atleast the ones that weren't outright trying to destroy the Imperium.
No, the Emperor did not hate Xenos. Atleast the ones that weren't outright trying to destroy the Imperium.
He didn't hate them, but he still decreed them to live below humans (great crusade). Humans are always no. 1 in his mind.
P. sure Big E's main teaching is basically HUMANITY NUMBER 1 joining with aliens and fighting UNDER them as their auxiliaries would be grave heresy
Wasn't the idea to fuck up the Chaos God's plans by not having any religion in the universe? So we could all just get along, and they'd lose all their power. And then they started worshipping the Emprah as a god, building cathedrals and such in his name, so he told them to knock that shit off or else everything would be ruined. Then the Primarch who started that bullshit started to resent him and secretly fled to Chaos, where he'd be accepted as the creepy stalker bastard he was. And that, kids, is *BLAM*

There would still be disease and death for Nurgle, excess for Slaanesh, and things like ambition for Tzeentch.
He didn't hate them, but he still decreed them to live below humans (great crusade). One thing I do know is, he had a passion for stopping religion and that was at least partly his driving force for uniting humanity.
I can't seem to be able to get an even coloring when painting green, my yellow looks pretty smooth though.
How long should I wait between painting layers?
Until each layer is dryderp, so depends on just how much you thin them down.
Is there anywhere I can read 15 hours online? None of my bookstores sell it.
They could believe that the current state of the Imperium is not what the Emperor wanted, or something like that.
You should note that if some Space Marines join the Tau Empire, it would be bad for both the Tau and the Space Marines that joined the Tau. Mainly because it would probably gain the attention of the Imperium, thus the Imperium would probably wipe out the Tau Empire, to eliminate their influence on the Space Marines.
You can read it online at amazon, and by read it I mean buy it.
Awesome, I got the Veteran helmet on Spess Mehreen even though I haven't even unlocked the chest-piece yet. Glitches can be great sometimes.
You know, I think the emperor would actually approve of fighting for The Greater Good. I'm sure Tau would be able to live and let live with the Imperium if they both had shared a common enemy in (every other xeno race) and the emperor would probably dig Tau and their strive for knowledge and anything that isn't god-worshipping. Sure, with enough time the two would probably duke it out, but I still think that it's not too unlikely for them to be allies in the current state of the universe. Well, except for the whole "do not join the alien bla bla heresy" part that is :v:
Fighting for the Tau's greater good is heresy, no way anyone in the Imperium would accept it.
You guys are forgetting that usually, worshipping the Emperor as a god is what strenghtens humans' willpower against Chaos. Were it not for the religion, Chaos would be probably much more widespread.
If anything, the Imperium needs to be less xenophobic. The Imperium would benefit greatly from the technology/weapons the Tau use on ground, however, i can't say the same for their aerial/space technology.
I don't think the Imperium would discount the Tau Empire as a threat; while the Empire possesses a much larger Army and Navy than the Tau, they have to spread their forces across the entire galaxy (or something along those lines) while the Tau are largely concentrated along the Eastern Fringe (I think, my knowledge of the rough layout of the galaxy is iffy.) I realise I'm not particularly knowledgable on the Fluff as some, but I'm under the impression that a lot of people in the Imperial Brass would rather avoid an all out war with the Tau; with Tyranids, Chaos and Orks everywhere a conflict with the Tau would probably push them over the edge and cause them to lose a lot of manpower and resources that could be spent fighting other, more pressing enemies. This, coupled with the fact that the Tau Fleet almost made it to Terra on one occasion already means that while the Tau aren't exactly an immediate threat, they are still a serious one. tl:dr; The Tau are outnumbered, but their forces are all in one place, and the Empire have a lot more to worry about.
If anything, the Imperium needs to be less xenophobic. The Imperium would benefit greatly from the technology/weapons the Tau use on ground, however, i can't say the same for their aerial/space technology.
I think some of their distrust of technology and artifacts is well founded, just look at the Emperor's Children. Also, Imperial armament isn't really inferior to Tau tech, it's just better at different things; rough and reliable as opposed to advanced. Although some Tau technology the Imperium probably could do with, I know that the Imperium can't really work out how the Tau can use their helmets to see thermal imaging and over the infared spectrum.
The Tau "empire" is TINY, spread across a few star systems. A decent IG/Navy mobilization and a couple spess muhreen companies could take it out. Hell, the Imperium could Exterminatus all their worlds and it wouldn't be a big loss.
This, coupled with the fact that the Tau Fleet almost made it to Terra on one occasion
what [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
What primer/spray are you painting the green on top of?
Skull White spray, as the main color of my model is bright yellow. It's the darker green (Snot Green) I have trouble with. Maybe I should just lighten the shade of the green.
Go over the area you're going to paint green with chaos black.
You should note that if some Space Marines join the Tau Empire, it would be bad for both the Tau and the Space Marines that joined the Tau. Also, i don't think a Tau fleet has even gotton CLOSE to Terra...
Go over the area you're going to paint green with chaos black.
Hm, well, that's for another model then. Wouldn't it cause the same problems though, painting black on the white basecoat?
I can kind of sterotype it though. I'm pretty sure my one friend would jump on the Chaos train. He seems like that kind of person. Personally I could never play Chaos because they're essentially worshipers/are pure evil. The Tau on the other hand, they're the lesser evil in the galaxy. The only bad thing is they have a caste system but that's barely any different from the class system the Imperium has only Tau living standards and religious freedoms are pretty high in retrospect to the Imperium.
Not really, the Tau have almost no free will. You're born into a caste, you'll die in it. In Tau society, theres no such thing as disobedience, everyone does exactly what they're told, without question. That would be shit to live in.
Anyone read the Xenology book?
I haven't myself, but I heard of a rather interesting creature featured in it; sort of a black sphere that summons the shadows around people into horrible monsters. What were those called again?
Guess you're right On an unrelated note, I ordered the "The Imperial Infantrymans Uplifting Primer"
You mean you lost your old one, trooper? *click* *BLAM!*

If you tried to bring up the concept of revolt to anyone on a Tau planet, they'd get confused and anyone who understands would hail you as a genius philospher.
If anything, the Imperium needs to be less xenophobic.
