In other news, my Games Workshop thread is still collecting dust :smith:
All my Games Workshop stuff is collecting dust...it's right behind me and i haven't touched it in months. I never actually made half the stuff i had because i was like "well what if i make it then realise i could have made something else with it".
[sp]Very likely the chaos cultist have been holding stray or imported Tyranids in the underhive for gladiatorial torture. Cultists were already shown in the leaked first trailer, and there's bloodletter minibosses. Also if the orks arrived on a hulk, emperor only knows what else they brought.[/sp]
Old One Eye is still tethered to the hive just fine, so was the Doom of Malan'tai. Being alone doesn't necessarily entail being without. Patriarchs serve the Hive unconnected as a matter of course.
[sp]Some gaunts, warriors would be fine, but isn't it a bit too foolish of Chaos to tamper with a Carnifex?
If that thing got loose, it could wipe out most of the cultists before being slain.[/sp]
How is Old One Eye still tethered to the Hive Mind?
Let's see, it got shot repeatedly in the eye and eventually the brain with a plasma pistol, cryogenically freezed, and it slaughters everything and everyone without hesitation, including fellow tyranids.
Unfortunately i have no idea what any of those are, if it has been released in the past 2-3 years i probably don't know much about it. I will look in to them tommorow morning when i have time though and will add them.
Will also add a small section about Warhammer Fantasy and some more screenshots. Might as well just have this for everything GW related. This is the General Games discussion section, but is that only meant to be for Video games?
Released in the past 2-3 years?
HA.
Try 24 years ago.
WH40k is older than most people on this forum.

Dark Heresy, Deathwatch and Black crusade were released 24 years ago?
The thing I'm worried about for Space Marine is that it wont be difficult in any way and that it'll be tedious.
Because from any in-game footage that's what it looks like it will be.
Dark Heresy, Deathwatch and Black crusade were released 24 years ago?
Black Crusade isn't even out yet. I'm not an expert on this stuff but I'd say that the three others are about 10 years (or more) old. Dark Heresy was the first one if I am not mistaken.

Anyway Cyclosius is your man if you want to speak about WH40k Tabletop RPGs.
They're not ten years old, Dark Heresy is as best about 5 years old, Rogue Trader is the youngest and Deathwatch was released earlier this year. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is where it's at though.

(this) turns attempting to mount a horse into a dangerous endeavour only undertaken by the most foolhardy of warriors.
The bosses and mini-bosses should at least be fairly difficult.
If that's not enough, you can choose to play on the hardest difficulty, should provide a challenge.
Then again, this game is bent on what ''average gamers'' want: An easy, filled with endless weapons and finishing moves-blood bath.
What you should be worrying about is whether it will be a console port or not.

Thanks. Was wondering why this was the first time i had heard of them.

Welp, there we have it. At least I knew DH was first one.
Dark Heresy, Deathwatch and Black crusade were released 24 years ago?
Yes.
Rogue Trader was released in 1987 which turned into WH40k. Dark Heresy came only a few years after.
Are DoW1-2 considered canon in the W40k universe?
Yes.

...No it didn't. Dark Heresy was released in 2007.
The Rogue Trader setting was indeed released in 1987, the Rogue Trader RPG by FFG was released in 2009.
Anyone want to play some Chaos rising multiplayer or Co-op?
Are DoW1-2 considered canon in the W40k universe?
I think so. They act like it is on the Lexicanum anyway.

[sp] Might have simply hitched a ride on the Ork hulk as well, and Chaos isn't exactly the rational thinking nerd elite of 40K, Tzeentch excepted.[/sp] You forgot subjected to exterminatus, and apparently you haven't kept up with the errata, cause if your opponent agrees (just like the other old personality nids), you can still field him and he doesn't have berserk rules anymore.
Fuck yes, Jump Packs.
Can anyone help me with the Chaos Rising achievement where you need one of each chaos commander on a team? It's like the last multiplayer achievement i need.
Maybe its a looted Carnifex.
This would only be acceptable if: A, it was one of many looted things (Monolith, anyone?), and B, we could destroy the controlling device and make it smash orks and SMs alike.
Well orks do like fun :P

So are we going to have to make a mega thread for Warhammer Fantasy too?
So are we going to have to make a mega thread for Warhammer Fantasy too?
Na just have all GW discussion here. I will add some more stuff (RPG and Fantasy) to the first post tommorow. Not really much point having a seperate thread for fantasy.

No.

GW made Relic make their own Chapter so as to not fuck with the story, so I'm guessing the first might and maybe the second, but not Chaos Rising? CR broke the fluff way too much
Had the best 1v1 IGvIG everrrrrrr
I was infantry heavy Lord Commisar, and he was vehicle heavy Lord General
I had to kill TWO Baneblades
Popped a flare and bumrushed him because I was going to lose
Killed everything he had and he gg'd
I literally had ONE POINT LEFT AUBWDOABFOAOFDSf
Previous page dude.
i mean, an actual dark heresy pc game

Nope, Relic got given the Blood Ravens, they existed long before the Relic Games came along.
No.
Yes, they are. BR is an actual chapter, and their chapter master is Gabriel Angelos per index astartes.
Now I'm not a big MMO fan but the Dawn of War MMO looks great.
Also I'm going to pre-order Space Marine.....$50 short.
