What do you think that is? ?Except these guys sorta seem like they act like historical re-enactors more than LARPers.
It appears to be a re-enactment of a fictional event.
If we did a 40k one it'd be even more confusing, it'd be a preemptive re-enactment.
Too bad you chose an absolute faggot to portray the warcry.
Late yes but, UM WHAT?
Kyras was a douche yes but his end speech in Retribution is one of the best things to come out of the franchise. Anyone can say "blood for the blood god", but only his voice actor could express perfectly just how batshit crazy one SHOULD be to do so.

So that example wasn't good enough, fine then:

Not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction as good as Kyras'. The one in that video just sounds like your garden variety looney, not someone consumed by bloodlust and rage.

You're implying that the Khorne Bezerker in said video wasn't consumed by bloodlust?
Practically every follower of Khorne is, but Kyras' voice was just so dull, they sounded like loud whispers, in my opinion.
So I tried playing Chaos Gate.
Second mission, my marines keep dying to chaos marines who can fire 5 times per turn and kill a marine. Also doesn't help that I can't move marines up hills because I can't see up them...

I mean the actor wasn't portraying it as well as Kyras' actor.
Well fuck me, after I just played Civ V I return to my previously 25% done Space Marine in Steam to a fresh new 0% one. Fuck.
It says that the Umbra are actually the shattered remnants of the last surviving Old One. When Slaanesh was born, he/she chopped this survivor into millions of pieces and scattered them into the void of space, to "linger always". When the Inquisition kill one, its death scream shows them images of a humanoid form being torn apart, shows a warpstorm, deep space, then the word "LINGER". So its pretty much fact.
It says that before Slaanesh was born, when this last Old One was actually the last (IE after the others made the eldar, orks, etc) it was described as "Up to his Old Ways, tweaking and dabbling, poking and prodding". There is a theory that the Tyranids are actually a product of the Old Ones, as a last ditched "fuck the world" plan. Perhaps this evidence supports this?
Does Retribution use GFWL or just Steamworks? I would really like it but I'm quite fed up with GFWL.
Steamworks
"The Ethereals have been controlling their subjects all along. Remove the Aun (Ethereal) caste, and the Greater Good has no meaning. Without their chemical puppetry, their pheromone manipulation, the Tau Empire is reduced to an anarchic pack of disparate creatures, without cohesion."
'Tau are the good guys' my ass.
Where did you get that? Makes sense, just the first time I've seen it.

It could also explain why any Tau haven't succumbed to Chaos.
Where did you get that? Makes sense, just the first time I've seen it.
Xenology text. An interview with a Tau Ethereal. The interviewer mentions Commander Farsight, and the Ethereal has no response, and that, coupled with the dissection information (identifying the organ used to emit the pheromones) leads him to draw that conclusion I quoted above.
Where can I find that? Is it a novel or something?
I'm still all for the Tau. But it makes perfect sense now, what with the Tau being excessively violent until the Ethereals coming around suddenly and just pacifying everyone.
Does the end justify the means? In the opinion of this Tau-Sympathizer. Definitely.

Its a book, apparently a costly one (used were around $140), but there are ebooks. Its quite fascinating.

"Cut the world! Its shrieks divert her eye. Cringe and kill." - on the Dark Eldar.
Kinda feel bad for them. Its like they think the only way to save themselves from Slaanesh is to destroy everything else.

"Whatever caused their 'fall' is consigned to the past, whatever their ancient enemies - these 'Ymgir-Star-Hungry' - they are lost to time, and are no concern of ours.
Ahahahaha. These poor blind fools.
Its also one reason Xenology is disregarded.

The laughs at the beginning made me spit out my drink, oh god.
I just got into this franchise through DoW2. Oh man do I love this. There's this futuristic tech, magic, and demons, I love it

Hnng Tyranids so awesome.
Yes he is thinking too optimistically about 40k, no offense intended, CodeMonkey.
Xenos aren't going to respect humanity when the Emperor is back, and the Tau Empire isn't going to become some kind of trade partner.
They'll damn well fear humanity though. Chaos would shit it's pants if the Emperor came back.
Also either the Emperor wanted to end up wounded, or his power increased tenthousandfold when he entered his current state (maybe when he shed his humanity and killed Horus?). An Alpha+ psyker can snap a Titan in half, then why didn't he just blast apart the entire invasion force, ships and Titans included?

I thought the Emperor was already able to instantly destroy things with his MIND BULLETS? The only reason he didn't kill Horus outright was because Horus was his son.

Yeah he could, but I wonder why he didn't just swat the invasion fleet out of orbit, or just fry everything on the ground.

What book is this? You still have delayed the name.
I read a comment a few pages back, that reminded me of the southpark song, What would brian boitano do. So uh... I made this:
What would The God Emperor do
If he was here right now,
He'd plan a Crusade
And he'd follow through,
That's what The God Emperor'd do.
When The God Emperor was in The Great Crusade,
Fighting for the gold,
He Destroyed A dozen Alien Empires,
While wearing a blind fold.
When The God Emperor was On Ullanor,
Fighting greenskin Orks,
He used his magical fire breath,
And Beat the Stupid Dorks.
So what would The God Emperor do
If he were here today,
I'm sure he'd kick an ass or two,
That's what The God Emperor'd do.
I want this Geneseed out of me,
It has stunted my Hu-man-it-ee.
And I just want my Sister
To stop burning everyone
For Humanity I'll be a Guardsman, too,
Cos that's what The God Emperor’d do.
And what would The God Emperor do,
He'd call all the Humans in space,
And tell them to unite for true
That's what The God Emperor’d do.
When The God Emperor travelled through time
To the year 40 thousand Ten
He fought the evil Necron kings
and saved the human race again
And when God Emperor built the Webway assemblies,
He beat up Eldrad Ulthran.
Cos The God Emperor doesn't take shit from an-e-y-one
So lets all get together,
And unite to stop Abbadon
And we'll save Russ and Corax too,
Cos that's what The God Emperor’d do.
And we'll save Russ and Corax too,
Cos that's what The God Emperor’d dooooo,
That's what The God Emperor’d do.
It's difficult thinking of words to rhyme with Orks, just saying. Oh, and I wasn't trying to Be canon-accurate.
Oh, and this: (That's Brian Boitano, by the way.)
