What the fuck it just updated again for me with another 50mb download.
They're just bug fixes.
The Exterminatus patch is somewhere in post production, Relic employee said it could be another 10 days before it's out. No actual time though.

The only OP weapon I've found is the Storm Bolter, but that's shit at range and it's not used by many because of that.
In fact, I rarely if ever see anyone using anything but a regular Bolter. Weird.
I really, really hope they don't do anything to the MP but bug fixes. It feels really manly right now and it's probably the funnest MP I've played in a while.

The only frustrating part is getting killed by a power axe by some guy a good ten feet away.
I just want dedicated servers. Don't think I've ever had a good connection.
Makes playing Assault really difficult when I can't melee people to save my life.

You're hilarious. The SB is crap unless you're at point blank range on a completely lagless server. There are at least 5 weapons that kick the crap out the SB.

My previous scores at the end of a game was something like two kills, five deaths, using the Kraken rounds Bolter. Now, it's normally around ten kills, three deaths.
Guess I'm just better at using it. It's true balance when a weapon depends on the skill of the person behind it rather than the stats.
I use the Kraken Bolter, I'm only on level 11 and I usually go 10-4. It depends on how you use it because it can be a beast in the right hands.
Best method I have found is flanking them. Spess Mehreens have trouble comprehending shots coming from out of their field of view.

That's what I do with my Storm Bolter - it seems that, in a heated situation, Spess Mehreens forget they have a roll button. I mash that and shoot at the same time, their armor's down in seconds. At that point, it's less trying to kill them and trying to find something that won't.
This works really well with Devastators and Tacticals. Raptors and Assaults usually just ground-pound if you try anything funny, though if they try close combat you can just hold the tirgger and hope for the best outcome, which normally works.

Yah, really. Two of which are tac weapons and the rest being Dev weapons. The SB is a great support weapon, but a halo'd dev or Sword rine with zealous will eat a storm tac for lunch weapon-for-weapon.

It works for me, and that's all I care about. I get tons of killstreaks using it at a rate I rarely see in a game, since I suck unless I have some sort of advantage. The SB provides that advatage at a rate of fire that means I can mow down people relatively fast, and then pop in a new mag with the upgrades I get from my kills. So long as I keep mobile enough that I can't be hit too much, the enemy's essentially dead, since they can't seem to comprehend someone moving faster than they can move their sights.
When they can, though, that's the trouble.

In my experience, when people have the Hammer, they ground-pount the fuck out of it. When you're stunned, they close in and one-hit you. At that point, you can only really hope someone shoots him before he makes contact.
Speaking of the roll button, I have found it absurdly easy to avoid the Thunder Hammer and Daemon Maul as a Tactical. It's so bloody slow that I can dodge out of the way and keep shooting them before they even connect.

I got this game at around 5 P.M. today. Played it for 30 minutes and then my brother made me watch Cast Away. (Good Movie in case anyone was wondering.) So I got back to it about an hour ago and I'm already level 5. :dance: This is probably one of the funnest games I've played in a while.
