So, let's say you're in a vehicle which has a machine spirit and the driver was just shot.
Would the Machine Spirit be able to continue driving?
I remember reading ages about about a Land Raider that had its crew incapacitated yet it continued fighting by itself.
I read something like that when I was reading up on Titans. Sometimes they'll go berserk apparently. I don't know too much on the subject.

There's a difference between a Machine Spirit, which a crude servitor brain in certain vehicles (such as the LR), and the machine spirit, which is the concept that all machines possess a sort of soul that one must treat well if one wants to make use of the machine.
I remember reading a thread that discussed this. They eventually decided that Chaos wins by moving all their operations to the second floor of standard houses.
Late, but is this the thread you were talking about?

Well look at it this way, a space marine vehicle can be completely crippled. Yet the faith of the people within it can drive it onwards towards salvation.

Nightlord, perhaps could you add this video to the OP, it's badass and it fits the title:

I've always explained the machine spirits to myself in a manner of that which the orks operate ; They believe something works, and it works.
Obviously, man is a lot smarter, so a single human being can sustain that "waagh" if he/she does the necessary rituals beforehand.
How can I get myself more into the Warhammer universe? The games are all fine, but the wikia is circuitous when it come to information. I've heard the codex books are quite good, but someone told me they differ quite a lot with each edition. I need more fluff or background information in general.
No.
I took the line from video's title and description.

depends on the machine spirit in question. There's stories of landraiders taking on entire armies by themselves without a crew.

You mean that Crimson Fist Landraider?
You mean that Crimson Fist Landraider?

Rynn's Might was a famous Land Raider tank in the service of the Crimson Fists Chapter. According to the Crimson Fists, the uncrewed Land Raider managed to narrowly survive the rogue missile that destroyed the Chapter's Fortress Monastery in 89.M41. Thereafter, the vehicle's Machine Spirit launched a solo war against a rampaging Ork Warband, and succeeded in killing the Warboss and many of his followers in a single night. Although Rynn's Might did not survive the encounter, it remains a testament to the awesome power of the Land Raider and its Machine Spirit.
It turns out that it was really the emperor playing some video games all along.

Not bad, but the anatomy is off. The torso is too long and the legs too short.

From Comments:
"Now i CAN taste the wrath of the Necrons :D"
Bought some Warhammer 40k models (Tau Pirahna and a "starter kit" with five SPEHSS in it) earlier, started painting two of them after over 5 years of absence.
First one is horrible, second one is great.
I love painting again.

First rule of Warhammer- Thin your paints and never buy the cheap stuff.
I know, bro.
I have painted before and I got it all going well.
Except for shoulder pad trims, by Nurgle do I hate those.
