What do you mean by different?
DOW is more like a usual RTS while DOW2 is more of tactical game rather than RTS
I added details to the Fire Warrior from yesterday. Made a drone. They look much better in person. The Iphone camera hates anything other than complete darkness.
Speaking of Tau I found some firewarriors my friend wanted me to paint and we both forgot about :v:
I make an offering of this bad model I made *places down and walks away*
I don't get why everyone is so pissed off about the cost of Warhammer miniatures. Sure they're expensive, but they are more or less on par with other miniatures. Most of the WH infantry models are way more detailed than what you find elsewhere. There are quite a few around in need of help (there is a Men of War one, but that model is probably way too detailed, however it should do fine for the Red Orchestra 2 WH40k mod).
Some have pretty good value per cost too. 12 Fire Warriors and 2 Drones for $30 is a good deal to me. Considering it takes an average of like three or four hours to paint and put together a single figure. That's a lot of time you'll spend working on them for how much you paid.

God bless eBay.
To whom ever posted the link to the WarhammerDirect site, is it trustable? I dont tend to trust some sites like that. Also, my browser comes up with a security warning if I try to make an account on the site.

[editline]9th October 2011[/editline] It only takes that long if you're putting a lot of effort into them, which is what everybody should do.
The reason GW minatures cost so much, I believe, is that GW has a massive infrastructure it needs to subsidise (brick and mortar stores, and the like). That's the most reasonable reason I can think of with my limited (read:non-existent) knowledge of miniature companies in general and GW in particular.
Guys, I bring you an innovative Assault Marine strategy for Space Marine. Take the perk that gives you the bolter. Jump up and notify your enemy that you're there. Instead of boosting AT them to stun them, boost in front of them and start firing. No-one expects it.
Guys, can I use imperial guard commisars and other IG units in my space marine army?
Guys, can I use imperial guard commisars and other IG units in my space marine army?
No
Guys, can I use imperial guard commisars and other IG units in my space marine army?
You can if you upgrade him to Commisar Fuklaw, but that's exclusive to the Angry Marines.
Guys, can I use imperial guard commisars and other IG units in my space marine army?
In Apocalypse, yes, but not in regular 40k.
Guys, can I use imperial guard commisars and other IG units in my space marine army?
If the other guy agrees to it.
Commisar Fuklaw fights Ciaphas Cain [sp]HERO OF THE IMPERIUM[/sp] Who wins? Also, neither have access to the units they command.
Commisar Fuklaw fights Ciaphas Cain [sp]HERO OF THE IMPERIUM[/sp] Who wins? Also, neither have access to the units they command.
Commissar Fuklaw, obviously.
Commisar Fuklaw fights Ciaphas Cain [sp]HERO OF THE IMPERIUM[/sp] Who wins? Also, neither have access to the units they command.
What about Yarrick?
Commisar Fuklaw fights Ciaphas Cain [sp]HERO OF THE IMPERIUM[/sp] Who wins? Also, neither have access to the units they command.
Neither, the Emperor intervenes.
Apparently the molds are extremely expensive.
Plastic Molds are really fucking expensive as for each sprue, they have to be carved out of a block of steel. Basically: Plastic Models: Expensive starting out costs, cheap molding materials MEtal Models: Cheap Molds, Expensive molding materials Finecast: Cheap Molds, cheap molding material but they haven't quite got the skill down yet, plus it'#s limited in what it can do.
Ha, I had forgotten that I had taken this screenshot, and I found it recently on my hard drive.

Poor Bloodraven. In the end, his passion for relics has been his undoing.
Makes you wonder how much exactly are there, and how do their numbers never go thin
I guess, since there's so many people in the Imperium, that's at least one thousand (at the bare minimum) nymphomaniacs per planet. I guess those people fuck like bunnies and everyone else dies.

Sort of makes me wonder why they use imperial guardsmen. I'd think that they'd win much more easily with Leman Russes constantly firing at the enemy and Valkyries deploying elite troops from behind the enemy.
