The best things about that image are the tophat, monocle and pipe. And I defy anyone to say otherwise.
what sort of paint are you using?
Basic model plastic paint.
For anyone wanting to get a good coat of paint on your model on your first try, prime it first. It really helps. Hell, I don't even need to paint most of my 'Nids anymore. :v:

Acrylic, enamel? What brand? GW, etc etc
Acrylic, enamel? What brand? GW, etc etc
I think he's using the Hobby Starter Kit from GW. Tis' just a guess though.
Acrylic, enamel? What brand? GW, etc etc
Enamel.
Enamel.
Use Acrylic paints, it's coming out shiny because it's enamel. Acrylics are much better for this stuff than acrylics.
Does anyone know if the update for Space Marine will have split-screen?
You have to cut the grips off the bolters in order for marines to actually be able to hold them.
Who thought of that idea?

GW.

Better than the bolters being welded to the arms.
Taking my time with details this time around. Second Fire Warrior.

Why. You're really going for realism with that dismemberment.
It's like an actual firewarrior if he were to be in combat.
I finally got around to playing through the Chaos campaign, and I feel that it really picked up steam near the end. Eliphas's ground smash with a fully upgraded Mark of Khorne was a sight to behold, but my true favorite was Neroth, the Chaos Sorcerer. No matter how powerful Eliphas, Varius, or Kain got (I never liked Kain and the only good part about Varius was his zombie abilities and sending him over to take out a bunker, the corpses flying out, and then seeing them get up and fight for me), I never got over my first impressions of them. I kept thinking to myself as I played "Man, this guy is surprisingly competent."
Absolute campaign highlight was the mission where you have to destroy the Manticores. I realized that they'd be there, and started hoping that I could use his Neroth's Doppelganger ability to get one for myself. As soon as that happened, I pretty much steamrolled through the rest of the mission, cackling madly and dropping my limitless supply of missiles on anything I saw.
I remember seeing that on DoW filefront back in 2006 or so. :v:
You know you spent too much time when you start adding the least relevant things together. So, I present you - Advance Warhammer.
Each side is replaced with a 40k equivalent that more or less may allow the other to exist, if only to keep a balance intact.
Orange Star - Space Marines
Blue Moon - Imperial Guard (Valhallans preferably)
Green Earth - Eldar (Yes, having Orks would seem to fit better, but let's leave that for later)
Yellow Comet - Tau (Considering that in AW no sides ever went into melee, their ranged advantage makes sense)
Black Hole - Chaos (Try to act like loyalist SMs, to deceive everyone into war)
The story would also have some relevance to original AW. It begins with IG advancing into SM territory, when given an mistaken order to engage. SMs fight back the IG, but whoever sent the order, could not be found, IG disengage for the time being. Strange activity is found within a certain part of the sectors, and SMs start planet jumping there. SMs then get attacked by Eldar without a warning, with a follow-up attacks by an Eldar border protection force. One their forces are defeated, SMs continue their movement. Cue Tau getting angry at SMs "invading". Finally, once SMs are at the sector, they get attacked by both IG and Eldar. Both claim that they have tracked a SM force originating for this part of the sector, and that force being extremely belligerent. IG get their ass kicked again, and call in for reinforcements. Eldar were about to talk the exhausted SMs, but get attacked by Chaos SMs. Cue a short-term alliance as Eldar, IG Reinforcements, and SM take on the Chaos forces. Once they win, everyone gets ice cream and forget about bloody casualties. Such is life in Advance Warhammer.
Yeah, that is pulled out of my head, so I apologize for the lack of a good format.
Additional things include Ka'n'bei as Tau Leader (yes, I do know that it doesn't really translate into anything, unless you make a whole mess of Tau Lexicon), IG squads having 10 units shown, rather than 5 (which most other side have, as in normal AW game), and uppity Eldar who preffer to attack first and talk later (how unexpected, huh?).
The sequel has Black Hole consisting of Chaos (Hawke, Sturm, Adder), Ork (Flak), and Dark Eldar (Lash) alliance (suspension of disbelief is strained so damned hard). IG get an IG-esque zergrush commander (Colin). Eldar for some reason get big tanks (Jess), because what a shame. Tau get air (Sensei) superiority and calculated stealthiness (Sonja). Also, giant tanks/mini titans for everyone!
tl;dr Overthinking things of little value.
yup. once the Tyranid fleet has committed its resources to a planet, an exterminatus on that planet would cripple it provided it's done at the right time, nothing gained, everything lost..
provided that ships can get close enough to perform it etc etc
There are remote-controlled ships specifically for exterminatus duties like this. They function as the last middle-finger that the Imperium can give to the invaders. Forgot the name but it is on the Lexi
Could someone tell me the name?

Kill-ships, appropriately enough.
I really want more of that comic and about that marine!
Men and a freind are doing 2v2 DOW2 retribution. Any tips?
Anyone want to play some Space Marine with me on X360?

Depends on what army you're playing as, but pretty much don't spam the same infantry, don't waste too much power in tier 1 and once you get to tier 2 get some anti-vehicle units/weaponry.
Anyone want to play some Space Marine with me on X360?
I will later this month WHEN I GET SPACE MARINE
Our plan is to use IG and tyranids.
The idea being that the tyranids get them in close combat while the IG pic them off from a range.
