On regular modern day tanks. Leman Russes are made from Plasteel.
Armor values are usually presented in RHA and there's nothing to prove this isn't
Also: Imperial Armor V: Siege of Vraks
Someone should, like, totally gift me DoW II
Yea, I think the Russ can take a lot more damage than a modern day tank due to the materials it's made of. An inch of steel will protect heaps better than 3 inches of plastic.
And this is supposed to be Khorne in Warhammer Fantasy?

Ask your mom.
-snip-
All this talk about armour but I've never seen sources and quoting. Anyone mind posting some to clear up the situation?
Also if it's true that the armour is in the steel equivalent then there is something faulty with the lore that GW hasn't bothered to fix, because a Baneblade having only 190mm worth of steel armour makes no sense, a Space Marine would be able to survive more than that probably.

Buy it yourself, it's on sale.
P.S: This isn't the gift giving thread.

It's okay, but i don't like the mess of colors around the guardsman and the battlesuit.

Depends on the plastic, actually

I'll dig up my Imperial Armour V today, might not be able to post until tomorrow though. Internet is out.
Found this, a guy named marshall-Tharidus drew it:

The assault cannons don't fire fists, idea scrapped
I love land speeders though, thinking of including one or two in my 500pts list
If I remember correctly a lot of people say baneblades are made from Adamantium.

Those two fists you see there?
Power fists/grappling hook hybrid.
"Fists of Ultimate Fisting."
Finished reading guns of tanith Spoiler:siren:[sp]Fucking Lijah Cuu killed braggs!?[/sp]:siren:Spoiler I can't fucking belive it.
Yea, I think the Russ can take a lot more damage than a modern day tank due to the materials it's made of. An inch of steel will protect heaps better than 3 inches of plastic.
Because modern day tanks are made of plastic right?
Hell, Chobham Armour sounds like Ceramite pretty much, add to that DU strike plates, RH Armour and Kevlar mesh, I'd have to say it's probably equal in terms of strength.
Hell, Plasteel is probably equivilant to the RH and Kevlar mesh all in one piece. So basically modern tanks would be like LEman Russ equivilants with extra ceramite armour.
40k tech is slightly more advanced in some areas than modern, but there's also major regression thanks to the lost knowledge.
Hell thanks to the Chobham armour, they have a rough equivilant of like 900mm of armour compared to just RH Armour.
Russ Vs Modern Tank (Abrams/Challenger 2) = probably draw, maybe modern tank winning if they get the first shot in, russ maybe winning if it gets the first shots off (Main Cannon & Lascannon)
I think part of the problem of comparing the two is that descriptions of plasteel and ceramite vary wildly from place to place, along with how tough Leman Russes are.
I mean, Terminator armour swings from ripped apart easily by Genestealers and plasma guns, to be used to enter plasma generators and allowing the user to survive being stepped on by titan. Just the nature of how most of the fluff is written, I suppose.
* Orks are with Chaos (disorder), Eldar are with the Imperium of man (order)
What.
* Hero classes are possible, unlocked once you get a character high enoigh level.
o Imperium: Grey Knight
Oh well, at least this makes up for it, in my opinion.

Dawn of War: Winter Assault.

Kinda like in Warhammer fantasy mmo one. Also, Tau as a playable later? I kinda hoped that there would have been real war going on (Humans vs. Tau-NPC vs. Eldar vs. Dark Eldar-NPC vs. Orks vs. Chaos vs. Necrons-NPC vs. Tyranids-NPC)
you seem to be forgetting the grim part of 40k
There's grimdark then there's [sp]murdering the character you've spent like 3 books growing to like essentially off page or in Salvation's Reach the first sentence of a page being that Dorden died[/sp] like a bastard.

Mh, well the Orks in Warhammer fantasy were pawns, really, Grumlok, the leader of all the Orks was practically subjugated by Malekith.
Anyway:
* Word Bearers will also take a major role in the Playable chaos faction
Fuck yes, i'm glad that they didn't use the Black Legion again.
Hm, Warhammer 40k Online?
Can I be Imperial Guard? Apparently Tau aren't an option, which I don't mind. But the Imperial Guard are the only other race that appeal to me.
Dawn of War: Winter Assault.
That's because General Sturnn was forced to fight alongside Taldeer, or else they would have all died.
That's because General Sturnn was forced to fight alongside Taldeer, or else they would have all died.
Then pretend there is some reason for them to fight alongside or they will all die. I like to think that there is a threat of a Brony invasion from the Warp, forcing all rational races to join together so they can kill each other another day.
