It must be in a Codex, i also read it from the Lexicanum.
Lexicanum didn't explain why the Deceiver is acting as an Eldar God, i think he's gaining the trust of harlequins to one day use them against the Eldar or some other race.
There was also another theory that he does this to be amused or to be loved.

Only if they are not around synapse creatures. The most they've been "manipulated" is having someone send a ship with dormant genestealers on it to an ork planet to draw the hive fleet to the orks.

Yeah, that's one of two theories by the Imperium on why the Tyranids are trying to infest the galaxy: 1, they ate everything in their own galaxy and now must find more, or 2, they are fleeing from something even worse.

My guess is the former.

And their quest is not because of hunger, the hive mind needs more bio-mass for some reason.

I didn't mean they literally had to eat, but they ARE driven by hunger, its just the hunger of the hive mind rather then the individual. It compels them to seek out more biomass endlessly.

And various psykers have tried to probe the hive mind, and only one got out without being mindfucked to death. The hunger is unending, which means the hive mind doesn't need a set amount of biomass, its just "programmed" to consume everything.

There's a theory that the Tyranids were a last resort of the Old Ones to use against the Necrons and the C'tan. Basically consume all life in the universe to starve the C'tan.

I imagine it'd continue as soon as GW can come up with whatever the Tyranids are running from and how to make the Emperor die but in such a way that no one'll really mind.

God damn it people the whole "Tyranids running from something" is just an in-fluff theory. They mention it in one sentence, then go "Its unlikely because they are so advanced" or something to that effect.

Its much more likely they just exhausted the biomass in the galaxy they were in. Who knows, the Milky Way could be their 50th galaxy consumed.
