Sorry to pop in, but I'm experiencing a minor graphics bug with the colors displayed in-game. I've fiddled with the settings, but no luck so far. Any ideas as to what's wrong? [img_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/576685179527319025/9719D609FBBCB7E4BFBD9732397E723253A3B9AE/[/img_thumb]
Might've been answered but I had that problem alot on my other PC, it has to do with post processing, change it to to high or higher and it should dissapear.
Why do necrons need transport anyway? They seem to have pretty decent teleportation technology.
Playing some more Last Stand, and I joined a game with 2 other Mekboyz. We were all talking like Orkz and we ended up at Wave 17 with over a million points. It was fucking hilarious. Then the fucking Nids ruined everything. Nids, an Orkz worst nightmare.
My guess is that it requires much energy to teleport large distances so they use vehicles.

this sucks,my computer has a very bad graphics card so i cant run retribution
Wait till you get to wave 20, bro.
Wave 16 was fucking hilarious since I was so massively stacked with Armor. We murdered the other two, but had to whittle away at my clones health.
I started as Lord General and then was informed that he only becomes truly useful at higher levels. So I switched to Mekboy.
The Lord General is amazing in how without good wargear choices, he's useless. But if you pick it right and use your weapons well, He can fuck everything over and get the most kills.
I never really liked the Mek, if you want a strong, hard to kill and good damage dealing hero, use the lightning claw on the captain along with some other wargear choices of your choice. However, i really like the Sorcerer, he's fun to play as and can easily fuck shit up, one word of advice: Always have the doppelganger ability when you play as the Sorcerer, Narcissistic Sorcerers aren't very good.
Why do necrons need transport anyway? They seem to have pretty decent teleportation technology.
What would happen if they teleported to somewhere someone was already standing? Would it make them explode like in Quake?
Although that's an interesting way to look at it, I'm not sure yet if it'll stand up in practice yet due to the Ancient-Egyptian theme causing the "more advanced" Necrons to apparently function less efficiently than the "primitive" ones in some regards. Example: Transport. The "advanced" Necrons apparently utilize ships with a dedicated Necron "pilot", complete with a set of controls that enemies could theoretically commandeer (or at least dick around with/sabotage) if said pilot was dealt with; while the "primitive" Necrons would have just converted a troop into a self-piloting transport and called it a day.
Is there any proof they would do this though? The closet thing we had to a necron vehicle was a Destroyer (or Monolith but we don't know how that works) which was just a Necron with a different method of propulsion. No different to other races equiping Jetpacks really.
Why do necrons need transport anyway? They seem to have pretty decent teleportation technology.
Because GW can charge people for Transports, they weren't anywhere near as essential in 3E and 4E.
If I only get retribution and not the other dowii games, am I missing out on much?

My builds are mainly: Supa bomba: Big Choppa and Pokkit launcher/default Teleporta pack "Ported!" Cybork parts Sturdy Bitz Roks Or Big Shoota Teleporta Speshul tools Sturdy Bitz Cybork Parts Roks Got to wave 20 for the first time with that build. Had a hive tyrant with a heavy weapon and minion spam who stood at the top of the map on AOK, a level 10 Sorceror who duped the biggest units, and stayed near the buildings and smashed the biggest enemy units, while I popped off Roks every now and again. Here you go: I also got to wave 15 on BC with two level one LGs >mindfuck [editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
If I only get retribution and not the other dowii games, am I missing out on much?
Boss fights in the other Dow 2 games are nothing short of bullshit.
Emperor help us!The fucking people in the chat on retribution are just so stupid.
Emperor help us!The fucking people in the chat on retribution are just so stupid.
This is worse: WE DIDN'T LAST WAVE ONE.
You know what, you can talk all you want about how it's fine with Necrons having feelings and having opinions on what Gods they will or will not follow and all that bullshit, but this is fucking Matt Ward. You are saying, yes, I am fine with the Necrons having feelings, and then you are leaving it to Matt Ward to decide what those feelings are. You just fucking think about that for a moment.
If necrons have feelings, then the whole thing with the Blood angels isn't so bad.
Boss fights in the other Dow 2 games are nothing short of bullshit.
What do you mean?
are any of the armor/weapon pre-order DLC's going to be released?
If necrons have feelings, then the whole thing with the Blood angels isn't so bad.
Except at the time Blood Angels was writted, they didn't, so....
Emperor help us!The fucking people in the chat on retribution are just so stupid.
That's nothing new, watch out for people like Fireblade or KenFiresword, though.
Except at the time Blood Angels was writted, they didn't, so....
Well, now they do. So i guess that's solved. Now we just need to think of a reason for all the Grey Knight stuff. Wait, if they didn't have feelings before, then what was with Flayed ones?
Wait, if they didn't have feelings before, then what was with Flayed ones?
I like to pretend that they were supposed to be infiltration units and were just really, really bad at it.
This is worse: WE DIDN'T LAST WAVE ONE.
You can just do what i do: Ctrl alt del and then end DOW2.exe, it quickly gets you out of the game if you don't want to play with people that aren't good at Last Stand.
What do you mean?
On hard the Tyranid warrior that [sp]wounded Thule[/sp] took 2 direct artillery strikes, 4 turrets, a chapters worth of reinforced marines, and about 30 minutes of running back and forth reinforcing Avitus and Tarkus' squads. Then I died because of the pants on head moronic instant kill bio plasma.
people in the retribution chat think that tau are better than SM, :wtc:
I thought every boss in the DoW2 games were easy except for Ulkair the Great Unclean One.
The final boss of Dow 2 was easy, but good god the Avatar and the Warboss were insane. I tried the Avatar like 10 times with end game equipment and my best attempt got him down to half health.
