wowow. The choppa that makes enemys teleport away from you + the armor that makes you teleport away from melee damage + juicy teleporter = team fucker. Not only does it keep moving units away from other melee heroes but theres constant 50hp dmg explosions going off EVERYWHERE.

On the other hand I was level 6 and got carried by a 20 chaos sorcerer/13 plasma gun Captain on BC. We won but the boss fight was probably 30 minutes long. As long as I stayed alive(fairly rare) my teleport explosions did 25-40% damage to the clones with no cooldown on the ability.

Replace those with the corpses of Imperial Guardsmen and you'd have a scene of a heroic victory for the Imperium.
But there's only like 200...Imperial Guard rushes are far more numerous.

The new necrons have [I]personality.[/I] They are no longer "robotic tyranids". I believe the fluff change was actually for the better - there is much more depth to them now. Previously, they were just "kill everything for our metal gods." But I'm probably going to get boxed to hell for saying this.
EDIT: Not to mention, in 2ed the Necrons were basically tomb kings in space anyway.

You could, infact the necron codex shows several different paint schemes of Necrons from differing Tomb Worlds.

I still think the new fluff gives the new necrons much more depth. Previously, they were basically the same as tyranids. Necrons received a fluff rewrite just like the Dark Eldar did - they've moved beyond their 3ed fluff.
I wouldn't mind the new necron fluff so much, if it was done by someone other than matt ward, because I just know there's going to be some stupid and silly shit in there. Get another writer to do it? Absoloutely no problem with it.
I just gave in and bought twenty DKoK engineers to get the core of a engineer force ( Using Siege regiment list), im all set to get pwned by the new necrons when they come out.

And they still are, the lords retain some of their emotions/former life. Haven't seen anything about them DITCHING the C'tan Completely, just that you can't field them anymore.
