Wow, using Foundation Black, Chaos black and then using White or silver or gold for other parts like the pauldrons sides and red or blue for the eyes really improves on a Space Marine really well
For example, my Sternguard Beakie now has White for the sides of one Shoulder pauldron and all white for the side with the studs. Red for the eyes and all purity seals red and white. The largest skull is in white and all other skulls have been painted gold. This coupled with my decision to go for SIlver underarmour and a two-tone Bolter have made the figure way better and actually presentable although nowhere near perfect.
So, any tips? For Chaos (Next purchase), Guardsmen and the Space Marines.
I just realised that Silver in strategic spots improve upon the model tons.
Wait wasn't it speculated/hinted at that the tyranids were actually fleeing from something, i swear i read that from somewhere more than less official source.
Not sure of that but some beings were running from 'Nids and they were butchered if I remember correctly, and 'Nids are drawn to MilkyWay by the Astronomican or whatever the Beacon's name is.
If the Emperor dies, Chaos wins.
Obviously they won't let that happen.
[editline]20th June 2011[/editline]
Is that a compliment or an insult?
Also, the eldar are merely remnants, they can't bring down the emperor.
If the emperor dies, the star child is born and chaos is boned :P
Grah! Yah stupid git, can't trust spikey boyz nor dem Elderz either! Best ter let them duke it out, den when the fightin's done, skrag da rest of da lot an' take it fer meself!

And us IG have the most kills so far.
Grand total of 1.

He be muckin aboot, bawss. Dinnar, he sayz.
What was the Space Marine Chapter with the Black Cross insignia?
Black Templars, founding of the Dark Angels.
They're of Imperial Fist stock.
Fucking hell Orks are hard to deal with as IG
Mass nades +2 Shoota squads gg I hope you enjoy having your entire army wiped out
Upgraded Shootas have ridiculous DPS for no reason whatsoever, 2 Shoota squads fought 2 of my Guardsman Squads and an allied Tact squad and still killed most of our units
[editline]20th June 2011[/editline]
I was going to move my Sent up to disrupt them but they killed it before it even got near them
Why
Black Templars, founding of the Dark Angels.
The Dark Angels chapters are the Consecrators, Angels of Vengeance, Angels of Vigilance, Angels of Absolution, Angels of Redemption, Guardians of the Covenant and the Disciples of Caliban. The Black Templars are too bold to be Dark Angels. Instead, they are a decedent of the Imperial Fists.
Come on this is common knowledge.

Why is Tallarn flesh so vivid in all the photos, mine looks like calthan Brown, do they prime with white or something?
Tallarns are actually not ethnically arabs. Like all things in 40k, they are British/Americans wearing desert gear.
Have a video I completely forgot I had

Sadly I don't think I've painted much since this video was made (college happened, and these are at my friend's house since I mooch off his paint). Also note that putting them together before painting wasn't my idea, that was my friend's who's been playing 40k for years. He plays Tau though and I wish I hadn't taken that advice (no offense to him).
Not included in this video (I don't think) is some BFG models and my friend's models.
How were the Chaos Gods born?
Were they born from mankind's fear or such, or have they always existed in the Warp, dormant until later millenia?
Something to do with Eldar.
and orgies in the case of slaanesh

Nurgle is the oldest, Slaanesh the youngest. The Fall of the Eldar created Slaanesh and his birth caused the Eye of Terror to come into existence.
Apparently all but Slaanesh were "born" by M2.
[editline]20th June 2011[/editline]
Also I don't think that they were ever dormant, it's just only later did human psykers develop and manage to peer into the warp. The gods themselves never really cared about mortals, so only once we were able to have warp powers did their presence become known to us

Even in death I still surf.
I think the Chaos gods were born when sentient life emerged. They kinda represent different fears/shortcomings of sentient life: Violence, disease/famine, lust, and change.
The only one we know for sure is Slaanesh.

I think it was a bit after (as sources say the other 3 major ones were only fully developed by M2). I think when sentient beings first emerged it still took awhile for the warp to manifest itself into things, and then into all mighty gods
Also for those who aren't terribly knowledgeable in the 40k fluff: http://www.lexicanum.com/

Yeah, the warp only became hostile after the Old Ones created the eldar and orks and began using the warp as a weapon. So either the chaos gods were benign like the rest of the warp originally and were corrupted, or were only born after the warp was corrupted.

I am referring to the paint colour not the regiment. Is is normal to find what looks like Mithril Silver and must be mixed in in Tallarn Flesh paint?

waiit no. The Orks generate their own psychic field (the WAAAGH!). It was probably the eldar and their strong connection to the warp that corrupted it.
Nothing good ever comes from those dang space elves.
