Where's this from? Even if Necrons are more independant and individualistic than before, I can't really see them trading for anything. There's not really anything they need or want, apart from everyone else dying, and in the off chance they do need something, the Necrons would just kill everyone in their way, like in [sp]Cain's Last Stand[/sp].
My problem with tyranids is the same problem I have with the zerg; they don't have any cool lines

And they haven't lashed out at that faction yet for forsaking them, which would only be plausible with guys like the Nightbringer if their current bodies were destroyed before they knew they were never going to get replacements.
Maybe they can crash with Malal, in his pocket of still-might-be-there-but-good-as-gone oblivion.
