How about Wraiths? Can't grab 'em, and they just slice everything up.
I really like the art where they have infinite "tails".
This
They can easily phase shift through power armour and rip the shit out of a SM
Even if it does, don't the Necrons simply teleport to the next tomb world in range? I guess that kinda makes them worse than Tyranids, simply for the fact it makes them nigh invulnerable.
We'll have to see the new fluff before deciding, most likely.
Anyone here who played all heroes in last stand until a reasonable level? I'd like to know what two offer the most fun. Space marine is said to be quite versatile.
mekboy is the most versatile
mekboy is the most versatile
I dunno. Meele lord general with catachans and the right accessories is fucking awesome.
Run in. Kill shit. Other shit gets blown up by grenades. Catachans die, call in more.
Look at these stats. Mekboy is a fuckin tank and he hits like one too

Immune to knockdown. Fearless Aura(all enemies do 35% less damage ontop of your 70% mitigation) with +4hp regen/sec. Your melee attacks have 50% chance to teleport the enemy(or the entire squad) away from you or into other groups of infantry. Your melee attacks have a 15% to teleport you away or into other groups of infantry. Any time you or an enemy teleports they in turn explode for massive damage(You are immune to your own explosive teleports). When you teleport out of melee range the mekboy almost always fires a rocket immediately which knockdowns and ignores 140 points of armor.
His wargear doesn't look very decent, except for this:
* Heavy Gun Drone Controller
Summons a heavy gun drone to the field. Gun drones have twinlinked burst cannons and automatically fire on the enemy.
and this:
Markerlight
The markerlight grants two abilities. The first is ‘mark target’ which for a small energy cost will mark an enemy squad. Marked targets take additional ranged damage. The second ability is ‘sky ray barrage,” which will target any and all enemies marked by a markerlight and fire a seeker missile at them.
He gets free a jumpjet though, which is p. good. Also, I can see AP/Frag missile with markerlight and markerdrone controller being a good build. I'd probably take light armor and fusion blaster/repulsor shield combo with that.
No idea how well that build would work, considering we don't have any solid numbers yet, though.

hahaha... no.

One broken build does not equal versatile, and in fact is the opposite definition of the word.
In addition squad porting does not happen, even with linked units. It's per soldier.

Still, their weapons are pretty awesome. Unlike everything else.
Also, model train in the background.
They need a boss ride.

I wouldn't really call them awesome, but they're not horrible.

To the people claiming the necron transports look like viking ships
It looks egyptian to me
to all those "tyranid master race" folk:

I've had entire guardsmen/orc/banshee/etc squads get teleported from hitting just 1.

I think the more salient question is does it look stupid or not as opposed to culturally authentic. Apparently folks think it looks stupid... probably because it does.
squads
Other armor.
Does the armor only teleport 1? Cause I use the achievement choppa and it teleports the entire squad into a tight stack then they detonate.
Just finished my first squad of simple as fuckwarriors.

Oh, hey, Tau troops that look gritty. I like.

Unfortunately, they have a fine interest in J pop and a fresh MP3 comes with every ration.
I want a 40k FPS that doesn't suck.
Playing as a Terminator on a Space Hulk would be pretty cool.
[editline]19th October 2011[/editline]
And yes, I know there's already a Space Hulk game.

Any interesting mods for, DoW: Dark Crusade?
I have the following mods: Tyranids Race mod, Daemon Hunter Race mod and the Witch Hunters(AKA Sisters of Battle) Race mod.

I wonder what function it'd serve if they were placed sideways.
Oh, hey, Tau troops that look gritty. I like.
There was a feature a while back I saw. It was a group of Tau, apparently meant to be part of Farsight's enclave he took with him away from the other Tau.
And boy, did they look awesome. Like, all the high-techiness of regular Tau, but they were blasted by dust and their clothes were torn up, there were big bolter-marks in their armor, all kinds of shit you use to make someone look gritty.
I'm still trying to find the models so I can try and replicate them, but I haven't had any luck.
