Half the Orks stuff only works because they are the ones using it - They believe/expect it to work (even though it shouldn't), and because of the that, it does. It's the same reason red things go faster - because they believe it.

Too bad WAAGH!s are temporary and localized which makes the orks great for planetary wars but not good for system wide combat. If there is anything constant about WAAGH!s is that they have definite beginnings and definite ends. A WAAGH! only works when there is the 'biggah' chain of command, without that there would only be infighting between the orks and that will inevitably smother the WAAGH! due to no one being left to fight.

With humans there is doubt and you cant have millions of them believe the same thing at the same times. If it is red it will go faster. And that is a fact.

The "Greater good" is nothing more than trying to convice everyone in the galaxy for their cause and then silently kill other races off once they are part of their empire.
