Managed to beat the final level of Retribution with only heroes.
Diomedes had a lightning claw, Martellus had a power axe, Tarkus had a power sword and Cyrus had a bolter.
Kyras took a while to take down, but he had trouble hurting everyone but Cyrus.
So what would the most Canon choice be for Retribution?
Because far as I gather in CR Tavis was the traitor, force commander become corrupt and Thad died somewhere offscreen.

Maybe you should post the rest of the relic stuff as well, because they've trolled people opening the ucs files before, including putting necron powers in the abilities.ucs
For those who don't understand. It's a ucs file, which stores text like tool tips, hints, etc. Numbers on the left is like the tooltip id.
For those who think it's fake, just go to your dow2 retribution directory, go to archives, then go to locale, then open the dow2.ucs file using notepad.

There's a chance that an expansion will be coming, featuring dark eldar and tau.
It hints dark eldar, some tau units, a chaplain, possibly a white librarian and a servitor.
It also mentions marines from dow2:cr during the space hulk mission and a chaplain from dark crusade
[sp]Bonaparte and Priam from CR. Chaplain Mikelus from DC.[/sp]
Lastly, it also hints Gordian, Tarkus and Thule, so this expansion would probably have a campaign which is a prequel to dark crusade.

All of those have been in the UCS since the first dawn of war II came out. They're not hinting at anything. It's all cut or scrapped content.
Don't trust the UCS. It's written as they develop the game, often ends up with left over things they don't clear.

Dawn of War II was originally going to take place right after Dark Crusade. They originally were just going to completely ignore Soulstorm (Since Soulstorm was being done by Ironlore at the same time relic was developing DoW II). Dawn of War 2 was originally going to have Space Marine, Ork, Eldar and Tau, but they scrapped Tau in favor of Tyranids.
I believe Tau were scrapped due to their play style not being unique enough and they didn't fit with new game play design well. Relic had also long wanted to do Tyranids.
Dawn of War II was going to have an Ork and Eldar Campaign too. The Ork one took place before the Space Marine, the Eldar took place in parallel and after the Space Marine.

Just beat Kyras doing IG. Bernn is a fuckin beast and so is Merrick with a melta gun. The entire campaign consisted of Bernn grabbing aggro of everything on screen while merrick and the storm trooper honor squad(inquisitor is fuckin useless) sat stealthed. Meanwhile Castor sat in the back twiddling his thumbs and spamming Lemans.

Heh, I did that too. Lightning Claw on Tarkus, hammer on Diomedes, plasma gun on Martellus and shotgun on Cyrus. Lightning claw is hilariously effective against buildings, it destroys almost any fortification in about ten strikes.

Is the SM campaign supposed to give you purple quality items as a reward after every mission? I've had maybe 2 or 3 offers for purple wargear doing IG and Chaos but that was right at the end of the campaign.

I got me the Death Korp pack for DoWII:R its pretty damn awesome, but I was kinda upset to see the lord general looks the same in Last Stand even with the DLC on. I haven't owned the game too long so I didn't know it was for normal multilayer only.
