A new wip shot of two of my Guardsmen.
Very, very well done guardsmen.
What do you guys think for my avatar? or (its a apng)
I like that second one, use that. Put commissar waving his sword on top of the tank though.
Noooo, fuck kommando khaki. I regret buying it. It is way to bright if you ask me. Buy Khemri Brown, it is what I use for my guys. Looks much better if you ask me.
Alight, I'll see if i can pick up some more suitable paints today.
After playing as the Tau Commander in Retribution. I have a strong urge to kitbash a bunch of boyz and firewarriors into some form of Empire Militia.
Alight, I'll see if i can pick up some more suitable paints today.
Everything else that you have is fine. Just pick up Khemri Brown and you are set. I am too lazy to edge highlight by guardsmen but I do have camo green for that if I ever feel like it. Also, pick up Ogryn Flesh and Devlan Mud. Ogryn Flesh for their skin and Devlan Mud for their clothes. Badab Black too, assuming that you do not already have those essential washes. Have fun being poor. :v:
OK, so. I have what I need for my starter army at 750 points for friendly games. I have come up with two setups. Setup one has no metal box but more Rubric Marines. Setup two has two less marines but has a Rhino and a personal icon for a Sorcerer to deep strike the Terminators. Daemon Prince= 110 + 20 (Wings) + 20 (Tz Mark) + 30 (Wind of Chaos)= 180 pts Thousand Sons= 5x23 (TS) + [60 (Sorc) + 25 (Bolt of Change)] = 200 x2 = 400 pts Terminators= 3x30 + 35 (Tz Mark) + 3x15(CF) = 170 pts Total= 750 pts OR Daemon Prince= 110 + 20 (Wings) + 20 (Tz Mark) + 30 (Wind of Chaos)= 180 pts Thousand Sons= 4x23 (TS) + [60 (Sorc) + 25 (Bolt of Change)] = 277 x2 = 354 pts + 5 (Personal Icon(Single Squad) = 359 pts Terminators= 3x30 + 35 (Tz Mark) + 3x15(CF) = 170 pts Dedicated Rhino= 35 + 5 (Extra Twin-linked Bolter) = 40 pts Total= 749 pts Anything you guys recommend to change?
As Rayven suggested, you should get Obliterators, you're seriously lacking anti-tank in both setups.
I'd say Obliterators.
Very well, Any Idea what legion I should paint them as they are not TS fluffy? And what do do with the extra 20 points. Hmmm.
A new wip shot of two of my Guardsmen.
I don't get it, how do you paint so amazingly well? Anyway, they look great, good job.
I don't get it, how do you paint so amazingly well? Anyway, they look great, good job.
This is actually my first "real" unit that I am painting. Previously to this IG unit I have only painted five Space Marines.
Very well, Any Idea what legion I should paint them as they are not TS fluffy? And what do do with the extra 20 points. Hmmm.
Well, could have it as former thousand sons techmarine. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline]
Very well, Any Idea what legion I should paint them as they are not TS fluffy? And what do do with the extra 20 points. Hmmm.
Doombolts on your sorcerors?
Very well, Any Idea what legion I should paint them as they are not TS fluffy?
Would there be anything wrong with painting them the average TS color scheme? The guy who helped me build my land raider yesterday had a Land Raider himself and he had a Salamanders army, he knew it was lore-breaking for the Salamanders to have a Land Raider, but he got one anyway.
Doombolts on your sorcerors?
What about havoc on the Rhino and Doombolt on the Daemon Prince?
Would there be anything wrong with painting them the average TS color scheme?
Nothing I guess. I could call them mercenarys that had their armor painted, even if their skin was on it.
No it isnt lore breaking.
He claimed that there hadn't been any history of a Salamanders land raider before, and that only 5 important chapters actually had Land Raiders.
Then he's tlaking out of his ass. Salamanders use Land Raiders lots, albeit they prefer the Redeemer variant for obvious reasons. What 5 "important" chapters are these then?
Then he's tlaking out of his ass. Salamanders use Land Raiders lots, albeit they prefer the Redeemer variant for obvious reasons. What 5 "important" chapters are these then?
I don't know, he never mentioned any.
He claimed that there hadn't been any history of a Salamanders land raider before, and that only 5 important chapters actually had Land Raiders.

Land Raiders are used by Space Marines as well as by their rebel counterparts, who have continued to employ the vehicle after their defeat and exile. Since its rediscovery over ten thousand years ago, newly discovered STC information and modifications to the original design have produced different marks and variants. Most of these variants have been recognised by the Priesthood of Mars. Some of these are the Land Raider Crusader, Land Raider Helios, Land Raider Prometheus, Land Raider Ares, Land Raider Redeemer and Land Raider Terminus Ultra. According to the organizational guidelines laid down by the Codex Astartes, the Land Raider is only used by the 1st Company of a Space Marine chapter. However, some less orthodox chapters are known to use it more widely. The Salamanders chapter uses an altered version of the Codex Astartes with 12 squads in the 1st company instead of 10, increasing the maximum number of Land Raiders available to 12.
Sounds like they're still produced to me, making it unlikely that they're that rare.
The lore is a vague guideline at best and it can mostly be ignored in the name of building a tabletop army.
Though the Blood Ravens are the only ones known to have the only Mighty Morphin' Land Raider.
Commander, for the guardsmen, use Ogryn Flesh for wash. On the hands and faces, that is.
Nothing I guess. I could call them mercenarys that had their armor painted, even if their skin was on it.
Mh, i think an Obliterator would shoot the mercenary contractor before ever agreeing to becoming a mercenary. :v:
Not Publically available..would have liked to see what's there aswell.
Oh, I just fixed it. Try it again. It's just one of my many W40 dumps. http://forge10.imgur.com/all/
Commander, for the guardsmen, use Ogryn Flesh for wash. On the hands and faces, that is.
I already am. It just isn't very noticeable.
Oooh. Ah. :v:
these fucking tau's man. so far i've played 4 games of tls, all of them with me as lord general and the other 2 as tau. ALL DIFFERENT TAU'S.
I'm quite obsessed with W40k and a spergy little shit. Put two and two together. What I was trying to do was bring in CONTENT to LMAO pics, but the majority of what I have is Warhammer stuff. Here, you guys can use my IMGUR stash if you want if this helps me repent: http://forge10.imgur.com/all/
Being obsessed with 40k and being a ''spergy little shit'' gives you no excuse to ruin 40k for a small amount of the FP community. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] Can't find the other part to the last lascannon for my Land Raider. Oh well. :smith:
A new wip shot of two of my Guardsmen.
How did you make the paint look so smooth and evenly leveled?

I was apologizing for what I did and making fun of myself in the process. It wasn't an excuse.
Does anyone have a good Last stand farseer build?
Does anyone have a good Last stand farseer build?
Several, depends on what you want to do with her.
How did you make the paint look so smooth and evenly leveled?
Multiple thin coats?
