Are there any working mods for Retribution? If so can anyone link me? [EDITLINE]why[/EDITLINE] Why rate me dumb? It's a legitimate question.
Hnggg why is there no Angry Marine mods to DoW2 or Retribution?
Several, depends on what you want to do with her.
The Teleport + Laughing Stave + Eldritch Storm build is among the best Farseer builds, though.
The Teleport + Laughing Stave + Eldritch Storm build is among the best Farseer builds, though.
Is Eldritch Storm better than Veil of Tears ?
Here's my Inquisitor Lord Hector Rex... pleased with the outcome: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/JcQZN.jpg[/thumb]
Is Eldritch Storm better than Veil of Tears ?
It depends really, but Eldritch Storm has always been a clusterfuck-fucker.
Is Eldritch Storm better than Veil of Tears ?
Yes, BUT you have to pair it with Combat Master rune for it to be worth a shit. The only salient use for veils of tears is confusing all of your clones at once. For the rest, the tiny duration and giant cost are way too prohibitive.
Laughing stave
Is only of use on earlier levels, or clones with KD conditions, otherwise it's much the same as the zap pistol, sounds great on paper but sucks in actual high level use. This is compounded by the DLC and achieve helmets having stats that duplicate the laughing stave's functionality. It's fine for a disruptor build, but little else.
Since we're on the topic, what'a a good Sorcerer build for LS? I've been running around with Doombolt, Warp, Greater Doppleganger, Reactive Strike and the armour that increases health/energy. Also, what does Deathless do exactly?
Deathless regens your health and energy to full after death, but only every 30 seconds. The same applies to your clone, making tank clones exceedingly dangerous. pretty much the best deathless/clone build is Warp Deathless Doombolt OR Greater sorcery (depending on buffing your clone or letting handle shit yourself with a weaker clone) Vigor-Sustenance Mark of Tzeentch OR Doomblast (depending on buffing your clone or needing more energy for you) Greater Queen Dopplepopolus.
Hnggg why is there no Angry Marine mods to DoW2 or Retribution?
Shuma has made an "angry weapons" skin pack, shouldn't be hard to find with a quick google search. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] On the topic of LS: Mek, Captain, some Hive Tyrants and Shas O are the best LS heroes right now. Every time Ive reached wave 20 Ive had at least one of those on my team. Sorceror is fun and sometimes powerful but he really lacks mobility, and the only way he ever gets that is the Warp Staff, which really does make for some pretty rubbish builds, even with the Chaos Aura and Greater/Master Sorcery trait. I have seen very few people who are good at Farseer. Lord General is just a downgrade of Sorceror minus the pathetic turrets, plus he doesn't get any real way to run away until level 20 with the Storm Trooper minions and their retreat ability.
Almost done assembling my IG army! Just gotta assemble 1 1/2 Infantry squads, and a command squad.
You're gonna kill yourself when you realize how much you need to paint
In last stand, my sorcerer build is : Let the galaxy burn Deathless robes Daemonic gift of sustenance Master Sorcery Greater Sorcery Greater summoning Let the galaxy burn with 3 fireballs is very powerfull, especially since most of the enemies are weak but in massive numbers, and the fireballs are a great counter to that. With this build I get nearly always more kills than anyone else too.
You're gonna kill yourself when you realize how much you need to paint
Pft I ONLY need to paint 20 guardsman, a command squad, chimera, and a sentinel. What could go wrong?
Pft I ONLY need to paint 20 guardsman, a command squad, chimera, and a sentinel. What could go wrong?
I spend 4 hours minumum creating and painting my guardsmen, and I spent a day and a half doing my latest Platoon Commander. If you're like me and can't look at your models when you know they look dreadful, you're going to be spending a very long time painting those models.
Here are a few good Captain builds for Last Stand: Setup 1: Lightning Claw, Plasma Pistol, Armor of Vengeance, Rite of Fortitude, Litany of Zeal, Jump Pack, Dreadnought. Setup 2: Plasma Gun, Artificer Armor, Rite of Fortitude, Rite of the Tireless Crusader, Jump Pack, Dreadnought. In any case, if you're ever wonder which melee weapon you should use, use the Lightning Claw as soon as you get one, it's the best melee weapon, low damage, but it's fast and the lightning damage debuff it has on enemies is neat, as in you can hit one enemy, and go hit the other, and the squads will suffer heavy damage because of the lightning damage debuff.
I'm making my first squad of Thousand Sons right now. I don't have all the paints I needs but they are on order. So all I can do is prime and apply a base layer. Even that takes a long time.

Anyone up for a Last Stand game? I hope you don't mind me being a low(ish) level since I barely play Last Stand with Chaos Sorcerer. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] PM me or message me on Steam. Lord General Masterrace.
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCp5Iwew6xU[/hd]
This has given my confidence that I dont actually suck at painting. Although it kinda seams he used a lot of burnished gold or some gold color. I'm going to have a Gold trim on some things but sunburst yellow on other trims. Plus the robes are going to be white. And the eyes Ice blue. I HOPE. I COULD FUCK UP. Edit: Oh he has fancy bases. I may do that. Sand or something.
Lord General Masterrace.
He's not very good at lower levels, unless you only use him in Anvil of Khorne with a flamer + guardsman squad until around level 13+ He really needs a Vanquisher Turret, Ogryns, Commissar, Sergeant and Rocket Run to be decent.

Since frag grenades.
If you have the right build, he's fucking amazing in meele with catachan backup. Since frag grenades.
I love Catachans, both in Multiplayer and in Last Stand, they're awesome in both, in my opinion. But to be honest, Ogryns are a better choice if you're going to use the Lord General in melee, they're great against both infantry and vehicles.
Finished first model, it looks horrible but hey I'm on my way to improvement Lessons learned: white basecoat by spray, less washes, remember to trim the fucking mould lines, paint without weapon or backpack [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] second model*
Oh, and that Retribution update that came out a few days ago? It nerfed Chaos, Aspiring Champion now costs 90 requisition and 30 power for Heretics, but Chaos were also buffed because Aspiring Champion only costs 80 requisiton and 15 power for CSM.
HNNG. Drybrushed robes looks fucking amazing.
also I don't think anyone gives a shit but here we go either way: [t]http://i.imgur.com/1aAON.jpg[/t]
also I don't think anyone gives a shit but here we go either way: [t]http://i.imgur.com/1aAON.jpg[/t]
Looks decent, but the paint looks a bit thick at some parts of the model.
