He's not very good at lower levels, unless you only use him in Anvil of Khorne with a flamer + guardsman squad until around level 13+ He really needs a Vanquisher Turret, Ogryns, Commissar, Sergeant and Rocket Run to be decent.
What? Vanquishers? Use the Heavy Bolters, suppress everything and pour fire on them while the Ogryns mop up.
What? Vanquishers? The Vanquisher gives you that extra anti-vehicle power for when you need it on higher waves. Chaos Lord has always been my favorite hero, he fucks shit up, and is fun to use. Lord General's my favorite hero when it comes to Last Stand, though.
Here are a few good Captain builds for Last Stand: Setup 1: Lightning Claw, Plasma Pistol, Armor of Vengeance, Rite of Fortitude, Litany of Zeal, Jump Pack, Dreadnought. Setup 2: Plasma Gun, Artificer Armor, Rite of Fortitude, Rite of the Tireless Crusader, Jump Pack, Dreadnought. In any case, if you're ever wonder which melee weapon you should use, use the Lightning Claw as soon as you get one, it's the best melee weapon, low damage, but it's fast and the lightning damage debuff it has on enemies is neat, as in you can hit one enemy, and go hit the other, and the squads will suffer heavy damage because of the lightning damage debuff.
Ive discovered that these work really well: Power Axe Plasma Pistol Armour of Vengeance Rite of Fortitude Parable of the Stalwart brother Fearsome cry Dreadnought When you get swarmed I just use Fearsome cry, and the armour and health generally means I can go toe to toe with anything. Another good melee build is: Power Axe/Chainsword/Claw Plasma Pistol Artificer armour Rite of fortitude or Rite of the tireless crusader or Taunt Jump Pack Frag grenade Dreadnought/Larramans blessing If ive got a decent team then I might use: PG Artificer armour Jump pack Taunt Rite of the tireless crusader Dreadnought With that build you can just jump away from your team mates, taunt enemies and then have your buddies kill them while they are moving. Especially effective on slow, tough melee enemies.

Is Spacehulk still sold in the TT form?
i now have a record of 1-5 in 2v2 because of hippiegeek.
also I don't think anyone gives a shit but here we go either way: [t]http://i.imgur.com/1aAON.jpg[/t]
Great! Just needs a tad more detail. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline]
i now have a record of 1-5 in 2v2 because of hippiegeek.
Are ranks really that important in DoW2? I'd hate for it to end up like Starcraft and be really competitive. I play the game to have fun.
Is Spacehulk still sold in the TT form?
Yeah but its limited edition, only place to get it is Ebay. I remember in my old Space Hulk game my terminator had a kill count of 60 genestealers or so at the end of the campaign.
Are ranks really that important in DoW2? I'd hate for it to end up like Starcraft and be really competitive. I play the game to have fun.
You can judge people a lot from their ranks. They aren't very important, and this game isn't supposed to be competitive, i think, though it can be. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline]
Are there any working mods for Retribution? If so can anyone link me? [EDITLINE]why[/EDITLINE] Why rate me dumb? It's a legitimate question.
I rated you dumb because i just posted a mod last page and you asked ''Are there any working mods for Retribution''.
Edit: Oh he has fancy bases. I may do that. Sand or something.
Actually they're pretty basic bases, albeit a step up from no basing at all
also I don't think anyone gives a shit but here we go either way: [t]http://i.imgur.com/1aAON.jpg[/t]
The amount of people who spend so much time on a model and then ignore doing any basing whatsoever saddens me.
Power axe is shit and anyone who picks it is shit.

[editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] I rated you dumb because i just posted a mod last page and you asked ''Are there any working mods for Retribution''.
I asked because that sparked my imagination, what I meant to say was "Are there any working mods besides that one". Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The amount of people who spend so much time on a model and then ignore doing any basing whatsoever saddens me.
Because you're going to be staring the base that much. Sure, it helps, but it doesn't make that much of a difference.
It makes more of a difference than people generally realise, a decently done base will turn an average model into anabove average one. It's kind of a shame to spend so long painting a model and then leaving the base bare, ugly and unfinished. Also, pondering getting these to paint, which should i get: or both.
Are ranks really that important in DoW2? I'd hate for it to end up like Starcraft and be really competitive. I play the game to have fun.
i like to have fun by winning.
top one please raven else everybody will pick the bottom one up and go BEWBS also, forgottenkane, how goes the tyranid army assembly/painting hivemindbro? you've yet to post any pictures of them i think
top one please raven else everybody will pick the bottom one up and go BEWBS also, forgottenkane, how goes the tyranid army assembly/painting hivemindbro? you've yet to post any pictures of them i think
Actually, if I got the bottom one I'd probably try and sculpt on a tunic.
bottom because BEWBS [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] fuck tunics
i think you can really work on the top one, considering for the bottom one 80% of the model is pretty much just the naked body.
top one please raven else everybody will pick the bottom one up and go BEWBS also, forgottenkane, how goes the tyranid army assembly/painting hivemindbro? you've yet to post any pictures of them i think
Oh those, they are taking a FUCKLOAD of time to complete, which isn't helping my already cramped schedule. I'll try to post pics, but they all still suck (except for one and even then he's still mediocre compared to Rayven's stuff).
Is it just me or should Last Stand have new maps and objectives "beat this boss at X, Defend the castle with guardsmen blah blah blah"
No. Unless your model fights on exactly on ONE terrain, flocking is both completely useless and directly obviates immersion on contradicting terrain.
So how about clear bases, so you can see the terrain underneath them?
No. Unless your model fights on exactly on ONE terrain, flocking is both completely useless and directly obviates immersion on contradicting terrain.
Not it doesn't, not at all, and I'm talking about prober basing, not just sprinkling flock on the base. As long as your basing is unified amongst your army, you tend not to notice that it doesn't fit the terrain. And i suppose a black base with paint splashes on it doesn't break immersion right?

I just can't imagine how to keep track who is in which squad, without base-markings.
