I always thought the Krieg lasgun (Lucius?) was a BAR type of gun.

Wonder if I can dig up one at the local store or pester them into getting some more Leman Russ's, especially Executioners.
I might start with tabletop if i pass my drivers exam next week.
What army should i take, i currently have SM and Eldar codex (only 2 the local store had left, and next shipment next week).
anyone got any info on metal warhammer fantasy units from 1984? got 6 dwarfs(one with a hugh pole with a gold bird and one with a sword and a sheld that fell off) and 2 humans, i also got 1 plastic space marine(unpainted) and a plastic human from fantasy with plate armor painted red/w black helm and gloves and blood red boots with a battle axe?
sorry if it don't make sense im in a rush

The Lucius pattern doesn't really look too dissimilar form a BAR does it? The grip and front half look pretty similar.
On another note, goddamn is it difficult to glue the wings onto Dark Eldar Scourges.

You're right that doesn't make sense, what are you asking? How much you could sell them for? Do they still sell them? General information about them?

Depends what sort of background you want your army to have and what sort of army you want.
Pretty much everyone goes for SM though because they are Superhuman...which i think is part of a reason NOT to go for them.

Which pattern do the Vostroyan Firstborn use? I tried finding it out on the Lexicanum but I couldn't. I might have just missed it tho.
EDIT: Is it the Mars pattern?

Yeah all the pictures look like Mars patterns. On a related note, anyone know which pattern the Tanith use?

If you mean general information about them then you can check the manufacturer website here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/
Or here to learn the lore of the series: http://www.lexicanum.com/
If you are looking to sell them, some old edition models could get a good deal for collectors on eBay, you'd have to research other lots and go from there I suppose.
If you are looking to buy, only a very small number of old set's are for sale from the naumacturer, most others would be random lots on eBay, though Games Workshop may sell some re-designed sets if you look hard.
Tanith-pattern.
i read the lexicanum when ever i have time so i know a lot of lore but dont play tabletop
Tanith-pattern.
Are they actually called Tanith Pattern? I could swear they were something else in the books.
they're not explicitly given a pattern

Same here, the game is fucking expensive, all those figures add up quick. I'm fine with the video games.
I was thinking about starting the actual 40k tabletop game and was wondering whether Tau or Guard would be better to start playing with?
What kind of currency do they use in the Imperium?

Oh, you're finally a goldie, congrats.
from what i gather across various books, its just called imperial credits though I'm sure it has a proper name

Tau.
I prefer their background/Fluff so it's just an opinion.

I imagine, with that many worlds, the only system that would work would be credits. I'm pretty sure some systems have their own currency though it would be the same value as regular credits.
In Dark heresy they use a currencey call thrones.
Credits, eh?
How many to construct, say, a baneblade?
Speaking of Dark Heresy, does somebody here play it? I've been looking to purchase the basic book, but I'd first like to hear somebody's opinion on it because I'll have to import it and it's gonna be pretty damn expensive since taxes in Brazil are crazy.
Will I be able to be a good DM with my limited amount of WH40k knowledge? I've played all of the DoW games and read quite a few articles at the Lexicanum. More importantly, is it fun like D&D, Shadowrun, Vampire: The Masquerade, etc.?

Well this begs the question if the Imperium is even capitalist
Its either build me a fucking baneblade or im going to mindwipe your sorry ass and servitorize you.
I actually asked rayvenQ do guards get paid some years ago.
Anyway in one of the tanith books there were coins called emperors.
I think it's all the same currency, everyone just has a different name for it.
From Lexicanum:
There is no Monetary Union inside the Imperium. Worlds do not pay their tithes to Terra in coin, but rather in flesh, weapons and food - the consumables of war. On the planet of Necromunda, the currency in use is Credits. However, in most of the Gaunt's Ghosts novels, the guardsmen have 'pay' to spend, although the actual currency is never mentioned. It may be that guardsmen are given an amount of credit with which to buy luxury items.

Its either build me a fucking baneblade or im going to mindwipe your sorry ass and servitorize you.
On occasions it's "Sevirotize that guy!"
*one servitor later*
"Servitor BUILD ME A FUCKING BANEBLADE!"
"ERROR: "Fucking Baneblade" is not a valid baneblade configuration. Would you like to create one?"
"*Sigh* Just build a banebalde DAMMIT!"
"ERROR: Damned Baneblades are considered impure by the machine spirit and are to be purged along with anything associated with it. Would you like to continue?
"JUST, BUILD, A, BANEBLADE!"
"At once Enginseer! Would you like to install a lexicanum toolbar to your baneblade? It comes at no extra cost!"
.....
"Hey you over there!"
"Me sir?"
"How would you like to serve the emperor forever?"
"I would give my life to do just that!"
"Good...... Good...... now your first task is to decommission that servitor over there...."

I think they do, some regiments at least, in a couple of the Gaunt's Ghosts books they mention that Guardsmen can buy stuff in town or camps that follow regiments, so they must get money from somewhere.
