Oh, well I read that somewhere (guess it was wrong). Either way BR are a dumb chapter

Old One Eye was subjected to Exterminatus?
I never read about that, but i'd think Old One Eye could survive exterminatus without a scratch. :v:
Oh, well I read that somewhere (guess it was wrong). Either way BR are a dumb chapter
Not really dumb, just some parts done badly, added to the fact that Angelos appears to be a Mary-Sue.

At least he's not as bad as Rowboat Girlyman and Condor Drago.

Well I mean it's not clear whats cannon when it comes to them (who's their current chapter master?) and they break the fluff too much (they should've all be killed by the inquisition by now). The thing about them that ticks me off the most is "hurr durr we don't know where we came from"
Yeah thats the worst part about them, that they whine so much about not knowing where they are coming from.
And as for chapter master, either Angelos or Kyras, though we'll only know when the next game determines what ending was cannon, thats the tricky thing about having multiple endings.
Questions:
How do you all apply super glue properly to metal? Sometimes it works and sometimes it just won't stick.
Or do you all use something else for metal and what is it?
Where can one fined a Leman Russ Executioner? Is it part of a conversion kit? If so can I have a link?
Are the spray-cans of Foundation Black any good? Does anyone use them?
This is off-topic but do you need permission from a mod to set up a megathread?
How am I exactly a retard?
You called it a Dawn of war MMO. It is a Warhammer 40k MMO. Calling it a Dawn of War MMO would imply that it takes place in the Dawn of War universe which is the Warhammer 40k universe. In doing so, you have assumed that Dawn of War precedes Warhammer 40k. Which is silly.
It's a pity Killteam will only be available on consoles. I'd have very much liked to have play it.

Ah yes I see what you mean, thank you for correcting me then unlike the other who just called me a retard.
No.
I thought they were. Considering the W40K universe is huge pretty much everything can be considered cannon as long as it's not completely stupid.

I think Blood Ravens were a Thousand Sons successor. There's also lots of wargear they have been 'gifted' from other chapters, but the other chapters don't remember giving them it.
From Rebirth from age of Darkness:
'He' in the following excerpt being a TS who felt he had to find who had ultimately led to the scouring of Prospero, an event he was absent from.
" 'Knowledge is power', he breathed.
Then he turned away from the scene, and stole quickly back into the occlusion of the ruins. As he went, the dim red light of the angry magma fires caught on his shoulder-guard, exposing the serpentine star set about the black raven-head of his cult discipline.
Then he was gone, a shadow among shadow."
His name was Sgt. Arvida, the Blood Ravens have Azariah Vidya. (Can't remember who he was but he was important)

At least they do not speak of Boreale and the failure of Kaurava.
The BR's are actually a pretty fun chapter as SM chapters go. In the very least they aren't poster boy Ultra smurfs and still aren't as dark and brooding as the DA.
Also as far as I know DOW 1 and DOW 2 are cannon.

There are chapters worse than them. Keep in mind that the BR were actually put on a sort of Inquisitionary probation for a while.
And while the BR did exist before DOW I think they were just a colourscheme with a name in some codex. No developed fluff.

Haven't read any of those. What was bad about them?
spess mareens is where ward's love for the smurfs was unleashed upon the world (and ultramarines were never the same again)
blood angels had the titular BAs peacefully allying with necrons to fight nids or something
the GK codex should be obvious
Gk codex is not obvious, other then the horrible new walker thing which is completely out of place.
I don't think it was so much the Blood Angels working with the Necrons, more that Ward made it possible to have jump-pack librarian dreadnoughts and made the Death Company a Troops Choice.
Also, Spiritual Liege.

Jump pack on a dreadnought? What...
So I've read.
Okay I got a problem and I'll confess.
First off, I actually Pirated Dawn of War 2 about 8 months ago, I wanted the game really badly back then but I couldn't get it in any way. (I would've bought it if I had my own money) But a friend gifted me the game today and well, I installed it. I later deleted the Pirated Version because it was in Russian and I couldn't change the language. (The Translation was horrible)
The installation went well, when I started the game, it installed a few other things... Then when it actually started up, a Crash Report popped up telling me that I can't play the game. I pressed the Send Report button, it told me to re-install Windows Live, so I did, then the crashed popped up again.
Then I looked at the details, these are the files that make the trouble:
(Keep in mind that my computer has about 3 hard-drives and it's customized, a bit, also it's Windows 7)
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\DOW2LLUD7UL0.bmp *
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\PAB175J6.xml *
D:\160GB\MAXTOR\MY DOCUMENTS\MY GAMES\DAWN OF WAR 2\LOGFILES\warnings.txt
D:\160GB\MAXTOR\MY DOCUMENTS\MY GAMES\DAWN OF WAR 2\LOGFILES\SCAR-trace.txt
D:\160GB\MAXTOR\MY DOCUMENTS\MY GAMES\DAWN OF WAR 2\LOGFILES\AI-trace.txt
D:\160GB\MAXTOR\MY DOCUMENTS\MY GAMES\DAWN OF WAR 2\LOGFILES\Campaign-trace.txt
D:\160GB\MAXTOR\MY DOCUMENTS\MY GAMES\DAWN OF WAR 2\LOGFILES\Wargear-trace.txt
So I deleted those files, started up, same thing.
Then I did everything before THEN started the game up, same thing...
I even Verified the Cache Files.
Can anyone help?

Other than, you know, one of the character carving his name into Daemon Prince Mortarion.

Them being possibly Thousand Sons Loyalist descendants is what makes them interesting, Azariah Vidya was a Librarian who reformed the Blood Ravens after their near decimation sometime around M37.
Interestingly Ahriman was also a member of the Cult of Corvidae, iirc.
They were in Index Astartes, White Dwarf and one or two other things if memory serves

You''re better off pinning metal models sometimes, get a pin vice and drill holes in the parts, get a straight bit of paperclip to use for pinning, put greenstuff and a bit of superglue in each hole, put the piece of paperclip in one of the holes then assemble.

Spray cans from GW are alright, but overpriced, plenty of other spray you can use out there (depends what country you're in)

How can they be from the Thousand Suns if they weren't other foundings weren't until after the heresy? I wouldn't imagine that Russ would leave any alive even if they surrendered.
Retribution's rigorous syncing protocol makes me sad. Also P2P servers.
