got this nice little bug in exterminatus
It's done. I need to finish the other gun drone but I used a spare for the picture so it looks 100% Fucking hate those transfer sheets. Considering removing all the decals except the letters on the nose and some caution looking ones on the engines. Yay or nay to taking them off? They're like all crooked anyway.
WingedWizard, show us your Thousand Sons marine! I'm curious, as I really like Thousand Sons too. I'll also try and get the paint for me soon, and paint my IG Commander.

It's hand painted maybe? From what I've seen on youtube most people spray paint theirs and add details with a brush. I didn't use any spray paint, just a brush to color every last inch of it. Took more than 24 hours to finish. [editline]27th October 2011[/editline] Painting the Commander was really fun. All kinds of hoses and buttons to paint. Very different from the Fire Warriors which have no variety in them. Too bad you can't see him all that well. I'm going to get a Battlesuit next and paint it pink and white for my girl friend as I mentioned before. I think that'll be a fun project.
What is that face thing. I am not good with these memes.
It's originally a face from a comic, it was posted on /co/ and someone turned it upside down and they got what you see now.
Dawn of War series are way better than Space Marine. In my opinion.
They're not comparable, one is an tps the other's an rts.
Finally beat wave 20 on exterminatus. The lazcannon is ridiculous it kills nobs in two shots to the head and can obliterate a whole row of orks. [sp]Fuck that bonus round though.[/sp]
There needs to be a WH40k sitcom. There will be a 100:1 death to joke ratio
Warhammer 40k themed Children's show. - A Friendly Message from Inquisition (Report your parents if they do weird things) - Fuklaw's Fun Adventures (I stamp out the heresy, because I eat me celery. *Toot Toot*) - Fun Things to do with Friend (Staring Kharn, the Pretty Cool Guy) - Arts and Crafts with Mad Mechboy "Gargath Breakall" (Now, ya k'idz, git da explodeh bitz.) - Trix, it's for Emperor Loving Kids (Silly Lictor) - Reading time with Tzeentch (Including Squad Broken!) - Hygene with Nurgle - Everyone Scream CREEEEEEED (Child version of Creed messing with everyone) - Helping Elderly (Including Drednaughts and Patriarchs) - Don't do Drugs, kids (Slahneeshian examples) - Imperial Guard Joe The possibilities, man...
Every time I use Lascannon I can barely make it to 18, let alone 21.
Those ork maniacs who glow red and have chainsaw swords are the trouble? They die in two shots. Orks with shields? Three from front, two from back.
got this nice little bug in exterminatus
This happens when one guy is lagging out of his mind.
Which Starcraft? Because in my opinion SC1 and Brood Wars are way superior to vanilla DoW
It's kinda hard to tell considering the somewhat different focus of both games. Overall I think DC balance is amazing considering how many and how varied all the races, it just isn't on the level of SC. Though in part that's due to the utterly boneheaded damage formula for DOW games. In sc and sc2 you have a very simple system - Flatline damage, damage type, reduced by point per armour and multipled by size or armour type. Even simpler in sc2 where you have flatlines in general and specific flatlines against certain armour type. DOW comparably has Baseline damage variance Penetration values per armour type - there's about 10 Baseline accuracy of unit Accuracy change per enemy unit size movement accuracy changes chance of special attacks moral accuracy changes oh and not to forget each weapon does actually hp damage and also moral damage which are seperate values Last but not least, every single infantry unit actually has two attacks one being meelee and one ranged. Basically this leads to a very muddy system where it's relatively hard to actually follow patch changes and leads to a whole less transparency for new players. This and the fact that THQ didn't want DC at the WCG kinda killed the pro scene pretty hard.
I never looked at dow1 as a competitive game anyway. We have dow2 for that.
Dow 1 was far more competitive than Dow 2. Most of the old players saw Dow 2 as extremely casual, due to the removal of most of the skillcap that dow 1 had. An amazing player would utterly steamroll you in dow 1, an average player had a chance of defeating him in dow 2. Essentially the removal of an actual tech tree, the importance of the right resource at the right time, lack of dancing and most of all lack of harassable base structures made the game a whole lot more predictable.
I laughed when this happened in Dc.
I laughed when this happened in Dc.
Orks have beautifully orky voices in DoW 1.
Both were his sons. The already dead one (Sanguinius, or something similar) was killed by the ominous-looking guy, Horus.
My mind is full of fuck, unless Horus is a woman.
My mind is full of fuck, unless Horus is a woman.
Nope, all 20 Primarchs are genetically engineered sons of the Emperor. And all are 1/20th of the bastard that he was.
I want to know more about the Lost Primarchs but i guess we never will.

Sure it's true that dow2 is extremly casual but the competitive scene is a lot more present there. Although I would like to point out that company of heroes must be my favorite rts (even though it doesn't have space marines). It found a fine balance between the two dow games.
I want to know more about the Lost Primarchs but i guess we never will.
Well, their statues used to be in the Imperial palace somewhere. But they were mainly created so you could make your own chapters based off "unknown" legions.
Dawn of War series are way better than Space Marine. In my opinion.
Dawn of War wasn't rushed, and it simply had a much better campaign and better voice acting than Space Marine. Space Marine could had become an even better/GOTY if Relic would had put more effort into it and not rush it, like Nikota said. If you don't have the certain amount of win ratio they expect you to have, they kick you. However, it's easy to win at DoW1 in multiplayer, rush for Flash Gitz with Warboss, Big Mek and Wartrukk.
