It seems that the White Scars are like, the least mentioned space marine chapter ever. they are cool but underrated it seems
At least they get their own IC.
Not like Iron Hands.
There were hard counters in DoW1? I'm pretty sure it was just "spam heavy bolter and win".
Necrons, SoB
That happens when you're a chapter that specializes in attack bikes (that are pretty bad).
Pff, no.
The Ravenwing are living proof that specializing in attack bikes is awesome.
There were hard counters in DoW1? I'm pretty sure it was just "spam heavy bolter and win".
In Dawn of War 1 yes, there were Hard Counters. Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm removed them though. In Favour of Heavy Bolters and Howling Banshees.
I thought Heavy Bolters are only mainly good against infantry? THen again I have only recently gotten DoW 1.
DoW series needs actual Tank Shock. It's just silly to see vehicle getting tarpitted that easily.
The hell have I done? Subtitles make it even better.

And hows that for space marine voice filter?

Not great but not bad in my opinion.
Blue needs to be much lighter (ultramaine blue pretty much) and swap out the yellow trim for gold.
It is ultramarine blue. Not all parts got the bush over again though.

Went off this by the way,

Minus the green.
Were your paints thinned?
1:10 water to paint.
[editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
It may be the wash I didn't cover all the way.
[editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
Well I'm going over the yellow trim with shining gold and its looking good.
It was the only marine I finished so it shouldn't be problem for the rest.
Thats hardly thinning, for Ultramarine blue try 1:2 of water to paint or 1:1 paint to water. Takes more layers but goes on smoother.
I was told 1:10 at the hobby shop but I will try.
What about for detail like trims? Should I thin those paints or no?

The Yellow looks like it mixed with the blue a bit, you should try to avoid that.
You could also try a lighter shade of blue for the next model and heavily drybrush ultramarine blue on it.
[editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Looks great though, much cleaner than my model

Wait didn't chaos have zombies years ago?
Nurglite zombies

Wasn't there graphic novel/comic about those sieging some last fortress on some planet whos commander/last man standing calls exterminatus on that world?

Absolutely awesome.
However, the yellow paint you use for the trim doesn't really look that good, and you've spilled paint at a few parts, otherwise the model looks really good.

The metal breastplate makes it kinda awkward to assemble. Believe me, I sat there for 30 minutes with a few arms trying to figure out what worked.

You might have been able to shave it down, as it isn't really seen anyway.
I don't know why, but scraping old super glue off of some of my old models is surprisingly fun.

It needed to be like CoH with a good cover system, territory, bullets unable to damage tanks, supression etc (in DoW it's "oh we're being shot lets move slower" instead of CoH where they actually get on the ground and cover their heads etc) and all the other stuff CoH has but DoW2 doesn't.
A Space Marine ducking into the mud seems kinda comical
Wait didn't chaos have zombies years ago?
In one of the Horus Heresy books, they attack a moon whose governor turned to nurgle (I think the moon was called Darvin) and they get attacked by rotten corpses with glowing eyes and shit.

Davin and that was one of the most important sparking-off events of the Horus Heresy

Space Marines still use cover.
