Welp, forgot quoting didn't quote quotes. That was aimed at Oblivious1. Sorry 'bout that.
I am going to an apocalypse game today

To be fair the size of Imperial starships just means they're easier to hit with mass drivers
Go big or go home.
Thats how the Imperium rolls.
How has Dark Crusade and souldtorm changed? Or the Eldar and Necrons?
The Dark crusade and soul storm bit was a joke.
I just don't like the fact that he had totally renewed the fluff. Despite being a bit better and all, it doesn't go well with all the other necron fluff that has already been laid down in other codices and fluff. It suddenly becomes 1 big inconsistent mess.
Are you in some way implying that Space Terminators aren't a cheesy alien race from a lousy alien flick?
Kill 'em all kind of thing, no. The atmosphere surrounding them, yes.
Don't know much about the new fluff, but they seem "more alive".
In the new fluff, when the necrons were done fighting the old ones, they killed the C'tans and then decided they should slumber because their forces aren't strong enough (looking at the BA-Necron fluff) and decided when they wake up, they try to re-take the galaxy.
"Ancient alien race that hibernated for millions of years, and then come back to re-take the galaxy" is definitely cheesier than "Undead Robot Slaves who want to kill everything because their masters want souls to feast on" :v:

I don't see any Super Star Destroyers there

This would really be a flawless victory for IG, considering the low number of casualties...
I think the general attitude is that casualties are irrelevant if it results in victory.
I don't see any Super Star Destroyers there
The largest SSD would be more or less the same size. Longer but thinner.

what the fuck he gonna do punch a stompa?
Elementary my good sir, He will use his tactical genius and will be the stompa!
Just sneak a battlebarge in.

And lets not forget that it's a valid tactic to ram that into things.

Surprisingly small amount of meltavets in chimeras
Why does the necron lord says guilliman is his old friend? Does this imply that the primarchs have encountered necrons before?
Why does the necron lord says guilliman is his old friend? Does this imply that the primarchs have encountered necrons before?
Trazyn just probably crashed all of Girlyman's parties and said that to troll Sicarius
Or maybe the big dude he has in his vault is actually Rawbutt and it's Alpharius/Omegon in stasis
Ok, for the new necrons, what are the biggest lore butcheries. I noticed the C'tan are called "Shards pf the C'tan" now, and I am worried.

C'tan are all long dead it seems and the shards are just little pieces of them and are a fraction of their power. Necrons rebelled against the C'tan soon after defeating the old ones, and they overwhelmed them.
Also this fucks up the Mechanicus fluff and I think it fucks up Eldar fluff too since they pushed back the year that Necrons went into stasis.

It doesn't really affect the void dragon.

What the fuck is this. That is such a giant fucking slash to the lore.
What the hell is Matt Ward thinking.
It doesn't really affect the void dragon.
Yes it does since it means the C'tan don't control things (and the necrons control the C'tan). So void dragon got fucked over.
Plus the Emperor was supposed to imprison it in like the middle ages or something but the C'tan were wiped out before that.

I'm keeping to the old lore about the Void Dragon either way, don't give a fuck what is written in Ward's stuff.
Rebelling against C'Tan?
How does GW not see how fucking horrible of a writer Matt Ward is?
I think the general attitude is that casualties are irrelevant if it results in victory.
Pyrrhic victory is not a phrase known to the IG.
What happened to that game of Dark Heresy the lot of us were going to play?
A friend sold me around 2500 points of 'nids for around 50 dollars.. and now I have to paint them all..
2500 points of nids for 50 dollars and you're complaining about having to paint them?
Dude, you're lucky as hell, and if they actually are unpainted, you could sell the army for much more than 50 dollars.
