You must not be reading the 5th ed one.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa There's a 5th edition IG codex? What the fuck have I been missing [editline]2nd November 2011[/editline] I've been reading the 4th Edition one all this time...
I've just noticed a pattern, Jurgen, likes porn pictures, Bequin used to be a prostitute, Wystan Frauka loves erotic novels......and they're all blanks.
Does that mean I have to make the blank in my comic strip? ... Excuse me while I go get some brain bleach
In Space marine, Assault marine/Chaos raptor is a pretty fun class. Apart from Melta guns. An assault marine's worst nightmare.
Oh gawd Melta guns. *jumps down on someone* "PREPARE TO DIE HERETIC!" *gets blasted in the face by a melta gun and dies* I've been switching a lot between Chain Sword and Power Axe, I'm thinking of sticking with the Chain Sword though b/c it feels, to me, like I can keep close on someone that I recently jumped on. Oh and I loves the plasma pistol so much more than the bolter pistol :\
I've just noticed a pattern, Jurgen, likes porn pictures, Bequin used to be a prostitute, Wystan Frauka loves erotic novels......and they're all blanks.
Hey, blanks got to enjoy them self somehow. Then again, Jurgen and Frauka would make anyone and anything run away from them even without being blanks.
The tagline for Spacemarine MP should be "lolnope!" "Oh it's an assault marine! I'll just dodge-roll backwards and shoot him with my melta gun!" "Lolnope, according to the server you are in fact six feet closer to him than appears so!" *dead from a long rage power axe* "Oh look, a tactical marine with a stalker bolter, this should be an easy matter of dropping down behind him and swinging my axe in his back!" "lolnope, as far as i'm (the sever) is concerned you are three seconds behind where you think you are, enjoy him switching to his melta and disitigrating your face in one shot (despite that ranged damage resistance perk you are using)" *dead* "oh look, and enemy lascannon devastator who isn't using the iron halo! Just a little up, a little left... THERE! *three las shots to the head later* "LOLNOPE :v: He Dodge rolled three seconds after you fired those shots!" "But doesn;t that mean he takes evey last one to the head and die?" "lolnope, he's lagging so everything happens three seconds later for him!" "damnit!" "Oh and did i mention three seconds ago, that raptor above you actually landed and smashed you in the back with a thunder hammer?" "no..." "Well it killed you! Enjoy your death in three seconds!" "Well i guess mid round i will change my loadouts, according to this my ping and everyone elses ping is pretty good!" "LOOOOOOOLNOOOOOPE! You gotta wait 30 seconds while i fetch your loadouts and load up those models that display them!" "well that should be fast right?" "Nope cos i gotta downlaod or upload soemthing that takes a while because *dun dun dun dun dun dunn DAAAAAAAAAAA* YOURE PING IS NOW 300!" "Him on earth...." "Well i'm doing pretty ok, i killed three guys this life and I still have a grenade and plenty of ammo! lets see what else i can do this round!" "Lolnope, crash!" TL;DR the matchmaking system pair me with a laggy host all the damn time, screwing me over when it comes to actually hitting something.
Speaking of Space Marine, more DLC, but it's paid this time. http://www.thq.com/uk/warhammer-40000-space-marine/go/article/view/251643/warhammer%C2%AE40,000%C2%AE:_space_marine%C2%AE_-_new_dlc_pack_announced And I swear the system is designed to pick the worst possible host.
http://thecontrolleronline.com/2011/11/warhammer-40000-space-marine-free-and-premium-dlc-coming/ Last stand mode as Chaos, Capture the flag and three new maps. Edit: oh for fucks sake
Defeated by 17 seconds.

Edit: oh for fucks sake
What the fuck, chaos gets easier bonus round enemy than loyalist? I mean IG will die with one bolter round shot. I want to fight against cultists too in loyalist side and against spehss mahreens on chaos side :C
including the mysterious Legion of the Damned
TAKE MY FUCKING MONEY
Spehsmehren MP in a nutshell: When you play Assault/Raptor: You:Oh boy, a devestator/havoc/tactical marine! CHARGE! If enemy is devestator: Enema:LOLNOPE He fills you with holes. If enemy is Tactical: Enema:LOLNOPE Melta. When they play assault/raptor: OH FUCK WHERE DID HE COME FROM FUUUUUU *dead* Playing lowlevel Tactical: Everyone dominates you. Playing devestator/havoc: GODDAMMIT STOP MOVING SHIT WHERE DID HE GO- *SMASH VRRRRR SLICE* dead. When they play havoc: DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA dead
It seems to me that every time I die now, it's because of a fucking Stalker/Daemon Eye bolter. Grrr.
Small sized squads can maintain their original DPS for longer than bigger squads, no? Because bigger squads will lose their models faster which results in lower DPS over time.
Overall not really. The difference is in the rate of the falloff. While smaller squads loose DPS more or less gradually as they suffer losses faster. Whereas the small squad will suddenly grab a massive DPS reduction. Not that much of a problem with standard spread out damage as the damage falloff will more or less balance out. But the balance suddenly shifts when you include high frontload damage stuff. Sniper weapons, one shot abilities and similar. While the player with the larger, less expensive squads will economically suffer lower losses and usually lower DPS lossses as well. High frontload low AOE weapons are even worse in that regard. (two - three plasma grenades can technically wipe out an entire marine squad, but rarely a guardsman squad for instance.
Uhm. You're thinking into this too much. Balance problem? More dakka. Economy in ruins? More Dakka.
More Dakka? More Dakka. Seriously, it's the only answer.
Until you create a gun that shoots all points in all planes of existence from all other points in all planes of existence an infinite number of times per second, forever. Then the only solution is to make it more choppy.
But boss. Our stuff is already the choppiest.
sorry if this is late, this made me laugh
