Can anybody with the new codex confirm the use of C'tan in TT? also that warriors are still 18 points, lords are 100 + 40 for a res orb.
C'tan are still in TT, but not as special characters, and warriors are now much cheaper.

Eh? So what do they come under? HQ? Elite?
Is it a point reduction with nerf then for warriors?
(I'd get a copy, but as you can imagine it's pretty hard out here)
You finn bastards. I went to your gamesworkshop store and it was right in downgoddamntown, it was a big store with friendly, talkative clerks and a lot of units.
And I left after spending 60 euros on some paints, codex, terminator lord and greenstuff. One day i'm going to go back there to get that defiler.
I tried to warn you

Warriors are 13pts and, C'tan shards are in TT (usually in excess of 200 points after abilities). Not sure what you mean by Lord, if you mean the HQ unit he's called Overlord now, 120 pts for him and res orb. However, the royal court can include lords and crypteks, a normal lord with res orb is 65pts and can be attached to any unit like IC's can (he's not an IC though).

Warriors have been nerfed (5+ instead of 4+ WBB (which is now called Reanimation Protocols)). As a plus RP is rolled at the end of EVERY PHASE, so you get three chances to bring back troops. Res orb brings it back to 4+.
C'tan shards are elites, but I don't see them being used in <1000pts games.

Also is it just me or has the look of the Wraiths been changed drastically? From the looks of the picture on their stats page their head looks like a tomb spyder head now. Lame.
[editline]6th November 2011[/editline]
Damn shame really, I loved the look of the old wraiths. Too bad I never got to buy them.
I sent a message to the head admin of the W40K wiki, hopefully he does something about all the wrong information on it.
Didn't someone in this thread earlier try to change some shitty fanon in the wiki and the admin banned him

Wow you are killing me, how did you get so funny?
It'll never happen.

I tried a while ago and he basically said "well they COULD look like that", so i doubt he will do anything. What annoys me the most is people who are new to W40K or know little about it are being given completely wrong information.
It even says "The Warhammer 40k Wiki is a recently revived (in May 2010) collaborative project to create the most definitive, accurate, and accessible encyclopedia and reference for everything related to Warhammer 40,000."
Wow, just looked - someone else has just complained aswell because of the message i sent.
Also, according to the wiki this is a Iron Hands Rhino. I didn't realise Iron Hands are a Traitor Legion with the same colour scheme as the Iron Warriors.
Implant their victim with a Zygote, which the host then spreads. It stays with the host and its genetic descendants, slowly becoming less "mutated" until purestrain Genestealers are born.
That's disgusting.
Sort of like what the Aliens do from Alien, but i suppose having something explode out of your stomach is worse than slowly turning into a purestrain Genestealer.
Wow you are killing me, how did you get so funny?

If you think like that, of course nothing will happen. Atleast i am trying - and i see i am not the only one who cares as someone else said they were unhappy with it after i did. With enough support something is likely to be done about it.

You don't slowly turn into one, just that your children are turned into hybrids that eventually produce a purestrain once the generations have gone on long enough.

Well you can always grab a lot of stuff from this
http://www.scribd.com/doc/7027523/Warhammer-40K-Fluff-Bible - at least I think that's the really old collaborative project that has been around for a whole long time now.
Just keep in mind that it includes a lot of very old, by now either deprecated or no longer mentioned fluff.
Venomun assassins for instance.
This might be another one

I won my first proper match today at the same GW store, went like this:
My army:
Chaplain
2 tactical combat squads, one with plasma gun and PP sergeant, the other with Chaplain
Scout Squad with 3 shotguns, one sniper and one heavy bolter
Allies:
2 Captains
Dreadnought (from me)
10 Tactical, RL, PG
10 Tactical, Flamer, Heavy Bolter
Whirlwind (borrowed from me)
5 AOBR Terminators
5 Scouts with Sniper Rifles and RL
They (2 players and the match GM) had:
Blood Angels,
10 Tactical, one Melta, one RL,
5 AOBR terminators
2 rhino's (GM)
Monolith
40 Necron warriors
Necron Lord
Drop Pod
Plague Marines (GM)
Librarian
Chaos Terminator Lord(GM)
Match objective was to capture 3 statues, arranged diagonally across the board.
Match only lasted 3 turns because we had taken a long time to set up.
Turn 1:They had initiative, and immediately the Blood Angels dropped their Tactical Marines in a drop pod onto the middle objective, the Rhino's pushed forward onto our right flank and the Necrons started sweeping across the left. Perhaps the most shocking moment of the game was watching the ally to my right lose his entire Tactical squad of 10 models to a Gauss Flayer barrage from a bloody Newcron Monolith. This left him with just a Las cannon Dread, 5 Scouts and his Captain. In turn we fired our Whirlwind missiles at the Newcrons we could hit, killing 7. Our Tactical Marines killed 2 of the Marines on the middle objective.
Turn 2: Newcron Monolith got immobilized for failing its dangerous terrain test, but it was within 3'' of the middle objective so it was taking part in the capture. In a hail of bolter fire and lucky shots we managed to thin the Blood Angels down to 4 models, and they managed to kill 7 of our Marines attacking the Objective. The Heavy Bolter from the slaughter of last week fired and killed 2 Necrons on the furthest objective. The Necrons revived 4 dead from last turn and started to sweep towards our Heavy Bolter and Whirl Wind emplacement. Both Terminator (ours and theirs) did nothing. Whirlwind killed 2-3 warriors. Dread charged the Monolith, got three hits but did no damage.
Turn 3 (final)
The Necron Monolith, Blood Angels and Warriors all fired at our advancing Tactical squads, killing 3/4 of them. The last few men and the Chaplain charged the objective to contest it and managed to kill the remaining Blood Angels, like that silly scene out of the Dow 1 intro. :v: Whirlwind killed more Necrons, and caused them to rout, which left it uncaptured. The middle objective was contested (Monolith was within 3'') and we had control of the one our side, thanks to the Sniper Scouts. We won and shook hands, and generally had a good time.
Learned a few (hopefully not so offensive this time) things:
The Whirlwind is awesome.
Newcron monolith is one deadly hunk of flying metal.
My Dreadnoughts have the worst luck imaginable.
Paying attention to idle units can decide games.
Had my ally to the left:
1) Not broken one of his Terminators before the battle, leaving him with 4
2) Taken my Predator instead
The outcome of the game would of been very different.
Also would of been very difficult had their Termies got on the objective.
Theres probably holes in this somewhere, its just my memory isn't brilliant. Much like last week though I felt kind of sorry for the guy on my right who didn't get to kill anything and really just sat and did nothing.
I disagree. They were annoying, bitchy little things in DoW1. In DoW2 they were a lot more entertaining.
Wait, if Slaanesh is the the prince of excess and Khorne's warrior's revel in excessive slaughter and bloodshed, doesn't that mean that Khorne helps feed Slaanesh?
And since Nurgle's contagions can cause excessive deaths, doesn't that mean he feeds Slaanesh too?

Monoliths are classed as Troops now?

I'd say that the ork voices he did in DoW2 are better than the ones in DoW1, though.

Meh, people tend to lag out a lot, doesn't really matter though, you can win with bots on your team, unless it's team ffa.

no but the fact is that me and uber were going to win TWO tffa games, and in both occasions some dickwipe "lagged out" a minute or two before the game ended.

Gorgutz (with Paul Dobson as Eliphas)
Scraped victory from the Cowardly Eldar with my Deathguard. 10 Plague Marines held up 20 Dire Avengers, 2 Exarchs and Eldrad Ulthuan for 3 rounds. 6 Turns of combat, slowly taking damage. Finally got rid of them by tank-shocking them off the Objective with my Land Raider.

I've decided i'm going to paint some of the stuff i have. Can someone give me some help though, i honestly have no idea how to paint properly. All i would do is give it a black basecoat, and then paint the colour i want straight away.
E.g i want my Tau black armour and blue cloth so i'd just basecoat it black, paint armour enchanted blue and then the details and then done.
But i know that's not a good thing to do as it's TOO simple, any help?
I want them to look nice but i have no idea about weathering, or drybrushing (i know what it is, no idea what it's for) washes etc.
Gotta love gunning down everything you see. Especially children and old people. In Dark Heresy. I didn't mean to fire though.
