We all should really try a Hamachi game together in DoW: Soulstorm. Get a large 8 player map and set it to FFA but allow for temporary alliances through the unlocking of teams.

This will be glorious.
I assume we are going to be all the different races.

Tunngle is way better and supports more players per VPN lobby. Also why use a VPN at all? Is the master server for this game down?

102/100 pop cap
The master server is alive as far as I know (but ranked is broken for SS, DC works still though) but it uses gamespy which is riddled with issues and port forwarding needs. VPN's are easier to set up really.
Also I'm not sure I udnerstand assigning the null trait in DH.
http://darkheresy.wikia.com/wiki/Nulls_and_Pariahs
Is it given solely by the GM or anyone can take it but it needs the GM's permission?
-Untouchable seems to be XP buyable and Pariah is definitely a GM only one. Null though seems to be fairly balanced as it is.

Now now, what manner of special snowflake-ness occured that warrants some delicious daemon wrath?
Themed Nurgle army, exactly 2000 points. What say you Facepunch?

I would at least cut one Obliterator and get power fists for the Plague marine squads, trust me, PF is the way to go, not power sword.
I really feel like you should have Mark of Nurgle and Warptime on the Daemon prince for extra fluff, durabillity and hitting power in assult, the problem is what you should cut. I don't know if it would be woth it to cut one further Obliterator, putting them in two units of one each, just for the upgrades for the DP and two plasma guns in one Plague marine squad instead of flamers.
I've decided i'm going to paint some of the stuff i have. Can someone give me some help though, i honestly have no idea how to paint properly. All i would do is give it a black basecoat, and then paint the colour i want straight away.
E.g i want my Tau black armour and blue cloth so i'd just basecoat it black, paint armour enchanted blue and then the details and then done.
But i know that's not a good thing to do as it's TOO simple, any help?
I want them to look nice but i have no idea about weathering, or drybrushing (i know what it is, no idea what it's for) washes etc.
Drybrushing is for making subtle highlights on your models. I mostly only use it on my IG tanks, but I guess that it would look good on Tau as well.
Paint the models in the colors you want them and then pick a color a little bit brighter than the base color and gently brush it on the areas of the matching basecolor with a big brush after brushing off most of the paint on the brush on a piece of toilet paper (it works best if the brush is complerely dry).
After a little bit of practice you can do it fast and easy, and it makes your simple paintjob look a lot better, try it out I say!

The list was made to fight Eldar, I didn't feel plasma guns would be necessary (they weren't thankfully) but my Daemon Prince did get annihilated after beating up a Wraithlord, 2 Dire Avenger Squads bladestorm'd him. Then they tried to take the central point from one squad of Plague Marines. I held them there for three turns, only their Exarchs and Eldrad killed a single marine. I love Plague Marines.

We all could use Tunngle or Hamachi, either works. Just gotta set up a time for when people to join. Everyone alright with Tuesday 8 PM Eastern? All I know is that Hamachi is more popular.
Anyways was gone for a dayish. Time to defend why "the new necron codex sucks" and not "herp derp matt ward." even if he didnt have a hand in this it still sucks
The necrons went from being bad ass mindless metal zombie-esque horde to intelligent Egyptian robots with free will. How the fuck did they overwhelm the c'tan? Makes no fucking sense, imo was better when C'tan were god like that basically ate each other to death (except for the last 4). Transports kind of ruin the whole shamblers thing. I don't mind the Egyptian atheistic but the fluff was completely raped.
Tis all subjective. Does X mesh with the group, does X fit the campaign, does lead to an advanced career that will break the game/mood/group, etc etc. Does X contain skills best left to epic juju gauntlet campaigns, is the player a spergtard, can they handle having X without ebing an ass ot the rest of the group, so on, so forth.
It also depends on a lot on does x's character backstory work well with the proposed snowflake and can they be functional even with it.
I know some people just want to take various traits in order to minmax around them. Which is imho annoying most of the time.

1:00 PM - Candy Biu: So they called up other GW stores in the area, asked if they had any games going. Yeah? Good. Any vehicles? Cool. We're attacking them with Tachyon Arrow, roll to hit... hits. Roll to pen... pens. Roll for damage... 6. Whatever we just attacked is dead.

Also, only good thing in the codex is Trazyn the Infinite.
"Oh hai Inquisitor. You want some artefacts do you? Yeah here's one, it's an inescapable mind prison. Have fun."
You know that Exterminatus load out posted here earlier? Where the guy was a devastator with fast stomp + furious stomp?
Well I tired that out while using a plasma cannon and it works surprisingly well, I had most of the kills on my team, if not second most, the guy at the top was an assault marine and he only had ten more kills than me.
For the most part I didn't even have to fire the cannon, except if my team-mates were getting swamped I'd fire a charged blast in their general direction.
After the first arena the tactical and our second assault switched to devastator and began stomping too.
We made it to wave 19 but then I had to quit (the call of pizza is the greatest summons a man can have.) but still, the "stompy marine" load out is more effective that i could have ever imagined.

I applaud you, sir.
I got the lowest kills because I don't know where waves of Orks spawn yet, so I was always the slowest and last person to get to the Orks. Especially when we had 2 Assault Marines.
Not sure if posted before but
THQ plans "flexible" business model for Warhammer MMO
THQ's forthcoming Warhammer MMO Dark Millennium Online will have a "flexible" business model that can support the demands of consumers all over the world.
Speaking in an earnings call following the company's second-quarter results, CEO Brian Farrell responded to a question about how the MMO would be monetised.
"The markets are different around the world for the business models with which you can ship an MMO,," he said.
"So what we've done is make the business model within Dark Millennium Online flexible so we can use different business models in different territories and exploit the game on a worldwide basis."
Dark Millennium Online is in development at Vigil Games, the studio behind THQ's Darksiders franchise. According to Farrell, the team at Vigil is designing the game with multiple business models in mind.
"We will have not just one business model, like subscriptions. There will be other monetisation mechanisms in the game... The team there is being very thoughtful about how we maximise monetisation in this game."
Dark Millennium Online is one of the most expensive projects in THQ's history, with CFO Paul Pucino placing its budget at a minimum of $50 million. It is scheduled for release some time in 2013.
