What does this tool do? :v:
Does it execute people? Either way, now I have the mental picture of Apothecaries carrying huge Tyranids on their hands.
It's pretty much the 40K equivilent of a modern cattle killing bolt gun, essentially a metal rod that smashes into the marines head at high power, killing him instantly.

Can an Apothecary in fluff and table-top use the narthecium for close-combat? Like the carnifex and the blade used for cutting open a marine's power armour. Can they be used?

Wouldn't that be heretical to some extent?
An Apothecary has 2 attacks, so it seems yes.
Does anybody have a general multiplayer strategy for tyranids? I always suck as them.
Termagaunt spam, t2, 2-3 tyrant guards, t3, Carnifex/Swarmlord.
Recommend me a set-up for Assault Marines, please?
What should I put on my Assault Marine Sergeant? Storm Shield and Power Fist or Power Sword or Plasma Pistol and a Power weapon?
And how many people can a Devastator Squad take and what weapons should I take? My current set-up is two Heavy Bolters, a plasma cannon, a lascannon, a Multi-melta and a missle launcher or should I re-do it?
By the way, can I use the Scout Marines Heavy bolter of Chaos Havocs model for an Assault Marine? Is that even possible? That would be cool.
10 men max in a Devastator Squad. Assault Marines can't take Heavy Weapons.
Went all the way to Salt Lake City(only hobby store thats a reasonable distance away.) to pick up some IG doodads.
Came out with a box of Tau and a battlesuit. :saddowns:
Wait, scouts can equip Heavy Bolters and Missile Launchers? Can they equip any other heavy weapons?
And what exactly are Space Marine Veterans are they any good for melee or are they too expensive?

Fluff question:
Would Terra be a nice place to reside on considering it is one of the most protected world but also one of the filthiest.
Try reading the SM Codex (I.e Scouts can take heavy bolters but not missle launchers)
And as for Terra, it depends on what sort of social class you're in.

Well you'd be safe from threats of Xeno nature for sure, but unless you are rich, no not at all (it's probably one of the more overcrowded planets). Though even if you owned a 50 square metre apartment you could probably trade it for a titanic mansion with servants and lots of land on another planet (land on Terra is worth a lot).

I believe the next "promotion" for scouts is devastator.
[editline]27th June 2011[/editline]
Hence they being able to take a heavy bolter fluff wise
Alrighty guys, I'm going to buy AOBR
Can anyone give me some links to some good starter paints/tools?
Also do I need one of the fancy cutting boards or miniature cases?

Wait, which one were you playing? :v:
I think that assumption is there to surprise the players, even if they know the Tyranids are there.
"Shadow in the Warp? I'll deal with Badzappa and then we'll OHGODSOMANYALIENS!"
Wait, which one were you playing? :v:
Just the original Dawn of War 2.

While they do go from Scout, to Devastator to Assault Marine and then finally Tactical Marines, Scouts are, well, sneaky, and (fluff wise) being able to take a heavy bolter helps immensely for Ambushes.
Seeing as they had already confronted eldar so often on Calderis, it was logical to assume that eldar were at work.
It was major stupidity on the part of the Marines/Cyrus.
How am i meant to counter Assault Terminators as Chaos in Chaos rising?
Tzeentch marines, tzeentzh marines TZEENTZH marines. (aka the counter to absolutely everything that walks runs or drives on the map :P)
To the person trying to counter Tau, you have to get in close, there is no way to outshoot a tau army, unless of course they are stupid and brought way too many Kroot.
Tau are not the shootiest army. Imperial Guard is. Tau are, however, the most mobile shooty army.
