YES! FINALLY SOMEBODY ELSE! Imperial Guardsmen don't need to be genetically engineered with the strongest armor and weapons in the galaxy to go to war. Unlike certain Imperial factions....
Being a space Marine gives you a free pass to the badass club.
A Guardsman has to beat up the bouncer, smash the doors down with his bare hands, wrestle all the security to the floor and will then proceed to juggle various glasses and bottles of spirits till he's made a cocktail.
And if he gets just one bit wrong his commissar will execute him on the spot.
Or you could just embrace the gifts of the Chaos god and have your every waking moment be a gambit for your own survival.
Or you could just stay on the hiveworld and dope yourself into a stupor unable to even make a coherent thought, that'd probably keep you alive too.
Chaos, pfft

Funny you should say that...

I got to about wave 15, having my buttocks nearly removed and handed to me by an Ork goff.
then I realised I was holding a plasma cannon.
Pffft. Just sign up with an Orlock gang.
Drink snake, buy mung vases.
Shotgun miner for life yo.
My friend called me a faggot for liking Space Wolves.

There's really nothing wrong with liking Ultramarines, hell, the current Space Wolf codex is so embarrassing I can't even read it.
And the Long Fangs.

I gave you a box, please pass it on to him, it may or may not have a tiny angry marine in it.

Fuck the current space wolf codex, that wasn't there when I played.
You know, i finally have enough money to get Space Marine, at a reasonable price. but all Digital retailers sell it for like £35. and it's not on steam for me. sigh.
Anyone have any experience with Intkeys?
Yeah i saw it there, its just an unknown site, and i'm not sure if its dodgy or not.
I bought RO2 and Space Marine from there, worked just fine.
Head admin of the W40K wiki is an idiot. This guy shouldn't be in charge.
I have made the wiki's position clear in this matter. Unfortunately, as I have also made clear, I do not agree with you on any of these particulars, nor do I agree that much of the fan-made art here is in the wrong. What you see as inaccurate I see as perfectly within the bounds of artistic license. That is the crux of the difference and there is no bridging it. As to your contention concerning the Harakoni Warhawks, I also disagree with that statement. Find me a pink and green picture of the Warhawks that is of sufficiently high quality and fits with the theme of the page where it will be used and I will be quite happy to post it, on the page or in the page's gallery. I have made several changes to the wiki's content guidelines in light of our discussion to clarify things for other users, so that the issue of the use of fan-made art is now clear, and I thank you for bringing this matter to my attention to the benefit of all our users.
Again, why would anyone go there?
Again, why would anyone go there?
It ranks pretty high on google, in a lot of cases before lexicanum. But that's mostly due to their naming convention.
Wh40k wiki versus lexicanum in a sense.
Again, why would anyone go there?
It's more popular than Lexicanum mostly due to the name. Which means alot of people are being told wrong information, but he doesn't care because 'artistic license' and something about non-canon stuff being canon.
For example:

Night why are you even trying, He has long made clear that he is a spineless dolt. No argument, no matter how eloquent could hope to redeem such a wretch.
Wow I think I need some Tea. :v:

If only there was a way to get rid of bad admins from wiki sites. The point of Wiki is that anyone can edit it, but this guy is making all the decisions. For example he removed a picture of a Tarellian and Demiurg i added.
I'm not going to bother anymore.
So I was looking for a suitably funny Exterminatus image, and found this instead.

Why not, seems legit.
Basically, got another "I'm always right no matter how many people complain" from the head admin.
This wiki's position in this matter has been made clear. There will be no unnecessary additions designating different statuses to the pictures on this wiki for all of the reasons I have already discussed. As to the Tau picture, those Tau do not all look the same height and even if they did, a reasonable person can actually read all the descriptions of the different castes and judge for themselves. I simply do not share this dislike for fan art that you and some others have or this terrible fear that people lack the judgment to differentiate text from artistic license. I understand your argument absolutely perfectly. I do not agree with it. Please stop making it. But as a reward for your perseverance and obvious committment to excellence, I will remove that particular Tau picture from the wiki. I do this out of respect for your position, but not because I actually believe the use of that particular picture was in any way inappropriate. However, that action will also mark the end of this topic. I do not agree with you or others who hold this position on fan art and constantly bringing it up to me will not change that. Please accept this or move to a different wiki. I will not be responding to any further concerns on this particular topic. Thank you.
Uh, dude, the Lexicanum exists and is perfectly adequate for most people's purposes. Why worry about this 40k wiki when you could just not read it. Sure, some people might stumble upon in accidentally and get the wrong impression as to some colour scheme or scale, but is that really so much of a problem?

From what i have seen, Lexicanum is not updated as often and is less popular. And it's not just the Colour scheme and scale, that was an example. One thing was the Tau picture i posted earlier.
It's also his attitude which annoys me the most. He thinks he is better than everyone else.

Typing in proper English and extended sentences seems too boost most peoples ego by about 90%.
Lexicanum is up to date and is more popular what the hell are you talking about
Lexicanum is up to date and is more popular what the hell are you talking about
It's not as up to date as it could be. The German version has ALOT more articles for example. Many things are missing pictures aswell. And how is it more popular? People are more likely to go for the site that says Wiki then the one that uses a word they have no idea means.
No answer from GW workshop, but I've been told by a friend that the one who acted like a complete dickwad at games workshop has quit (I hope he got fired). =)
So, I've been thinking about getting an army of SPEESH MARINESSSS
The idea was to get an army consisting of this:
HQ
Space Marine Command Squad
Troops
1 Tactical Squad (Splitting them into two squads of 5 each)
Heavy Support
2 Devastator squads
(I understand that you get 1 missile launcher, 1 multi-melta, two heavy bolters, two lascannons and two plasma cannons, so I'm going to get 1 Devastator Squad and a Combat Squad, and make all of the weapons included)
Elites
1 Assault Terminator Squad
So my question is, is this enough to get an army that should be able to fight anything that could possibly get thrown at me? It costs me £86, which is a lot more than the AoBR, but I get to customize my troops a lot better.
