Really? I haven't picked up a Whtie Dwarf for like a year. My local Games Workshop bunker closed down so I have to get all my shit and head into the city just to play a game, so I hardly go anymore
Why would you buy a white dwarf nowadays, it's pretty much just paying for advertisement nowadays.
Why would you buy a white dwarf nowadays, it's pretty much just paying for advertisement nowadays.
Exactly why I haven't bought one.
Exactly why I haven't bought one.
Well one had the pre-release WD sisters codex.
I wonder how long it would take to defeat "daisy" without using the barrels
You were supposed to use barrels? Motherfucker. The answer to your question is ~ 15 minutes
<armylist>
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Devastator squads are a trick, they're fucking garbage. [editline]9th November 2011[/editline]
Really? I haven't picked up a Whtie Dwarf for like a year. My local Games Workshop bunker closed down so I have to get all my shit and head into the city just to play a game, so I hardly go anymore
All news comes from belloflostsouls. All of the 40k news blogs basically link and repost each other, so you only need to check one to be "in the know" More rumor goodness: Tau Q1, 6e + Chaos over Summer, Eldar Q3. SUCK ON THAT SPEHSS MEHRINES!
New Chaos Rules: When facing Ultramarines force commits suicide. It'll be interesting to see if Ward'll try and alter what happened in The Chapters Due with the daemon M'kar.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Devastator squads are a trick, they're fucking garbage.
How do I deal with armoured units as a space marine (that isn't tanks)? Dreadnoughts?
How do I deal with armoured units as a space marine (that isn't tanks)? Dreadnoughts?
Yeah, that and PF and Meltaguns and heavy weapons in Tac Squads and hammernators. But Dreadnoughts with as many autocannon as possible will also serve the purpose.
How do I deal with armoured units as a space marine (that isn't tanks)? Dreadnoughts?
Mix Devastator units them into regular tac formations
fixed. For actual content: Would you say the blood angels codex (all death company) would adequately represent the rage and fury of angry marines on the tabletop?
http://1d4chan.org/stuff/Codex%20-%20ANGRY%20MARINES.pdf :v:
http://1d4chan.org/stuff/Codex%20-%20ANGRY%20MARINES.pdf :v:
Painting Blood Angels yellow would suffice if you play with douche bags. The pdf is where true rage lies. [editline]9th November 2011[/editline]
How do I deal with armoured units as a space marine (that isn't tanks)? Dreadnoughts?
Meltas. Metal boxes.
Why would you buy a white dwarf nowadays, it's pretty much just paying for advertisement nowadays.
Personally, I buy it for the masterclasses and painting guides. As I've mentioned before, the closest hobby store is 600km away, so I rely on White Dwarf and the internet to learn more about it, and the magazine, has usually been pretty good for me to learn from.
Does Game workshop have any branches in Germany? or is it England exclusive?

You're better off finding an independent retailer, somebody who undersells gamesworkshop.
I spent a few hours reading the wh40k on saturday, thanks for telling me lexicanum is better [editline]8th November 2011[/editline] And does anyone else hate fighting kyras at the end? I mean damn, it takes forever to beat him, he's not even hard
Ulkair takes even longer. I think i recall it taking me around an hour to kill him. [editline]9th November 2011[/editline]
How do I deal with armoured units as a space marine (that isn't tanks)? Dreadnoughts?
Riflemen Dreadnoughts. They have long range and they nearly always manage to penetrate a vehicle, i can't remember the exact details, though.
The Chaos Marine in my soon to be started Black Crusade session owns the last squat in the galaxy. You guys better protect him.
Can't I just convert one of the units in the Command Squad and just call him force commander/commander/captain? :v: I don't plan on playing in any official GW shit anyways. =)
Well, i guess so, but it'd be a waste of models. My word of advice, just get an HQ unit like a force commander or captain.
Alright, I've listened to your advices (thanks for the helpful input everyone, I really appreciate it!) and I've (temporarily decided) that I will now get the following force when I can:
HQ Space Marine Captain TROOPS Tactical Squad (With Missile Launchers?) Tactical Squad (With Flamers?) ELITES Dreadnought (Equipped with Autocannons I assume?)
That should be a decent army to tackle pretty much anything I guess? (One friend is interested in getting SMs too, one is getting IG and the others are still thinking about it)

It could help you choose what units you would like to have in your army.

A chaplain would be good in a more assault-oriented army His special rules will kinda go to waste when using only tacticals [editline]9th November 2011[/editline] He could also roll a librarian, better value for 100pts

Couldn't remember if Librarians were also that cheap. It seemed a shame to take an HQ without any sort of power weapon. Libby doesn't get an invun, though.
Don't get the vanilla codex, get the space wolf codex. If you really want to use devastators then Space Wolfs are your homeboys because LONGFANGS!!! LOOOONG FANGSSS!
Spent £70 today, not sure how but I've come away with two squads of Chaos Marines and a Daemon Prince I've just finished assembling. What just happened?
Spent £70 today, not sure how but I've come away with two squads of Chaos Marines and a Daemon Prince I've just finished assembling. What just happened?
You're down about $120 USD and you only have 10 CSMs and one HQ Too bad normal CSMs are useless until 6e.
Hey, can always roll with plaguemarines.
