A dead body isn't instantly converted. It needs to be taken behind the lines and implanted with gear. Meanwhile the IG is burying you in corpses and outnumbering you a thousand times. Orbital bombardment or artillery takes out facilities, etc. Only things that can take out 40k is either super-advanced scifi tech like the Culture, or enemies with even greater scale, like SupCom/TA and TTGL. Of course, a Necron accidentally dropping the Celestial Orrery also counts.
hahah... wrong. There's plenty of stuff in fiction that can absolutely wreck the 40K universe constituents. Just because the fluff uses hyper bombastic terms to describe everything does not entail thematic superiority in any way, shape, or form. They still use bullets, and stub guns are the military standard.
I never said things that could defeat 40k in fluff weren't plenty. It's just that magic-tech has the best capabilities to do so.
Fuck yes, i finally maxed out Chaos on Retribution.
I can't stand Retribution multiplayer, the match making is the worst Ive ever seen and Ive been paired against level 50+'s in almost every game. Its not fun when the only people you have to play against are those that have played the MP excessively for months. Its even more pathetic when you realize there are plenty of newbies but they still aren't be put in matches together. Ive played like 5 games and I have had one win, and every time I always lose because the squad AI loses track of its mind in one of those crucial battles that decides who is going to be running back to their base and then make hopeless attempts to take back the game. In the last game I played it seemed really even and yet I didn't kill a single enemy. Now I don't expect to be winning every match after 5 matches, but its not a good first impression at all. Whereas in a game like BFBC where you are left so amazed you aspire to do better.
Fuck yes, i finally maxed out Chaos on Retribution.
HERESY! The chaos Plague champion plague cloud global is the most overpowered thing against any race wiht massed infantry, being everything but Space marine and chaos. It moves as fast as a retreating squad, has no damage cap, so if you drop it on a guard's infantry they will die instantly.

I need more rhinos for my Dark angels/space marines army. Or land raiders, those are nice too.
So I'm curious, how's the army going ForgottenKane?
So I'm curious, how's the army going ForgottenKane?
The painting or the collecting? I've finally decided to get painting lessons before going back to painting the army, but I've decided to piece everything together beforehand, using magnets like the ones in that Carnifex video. I've gotten a Carnifex to add to my army too, btw. I really have to thank you all for getting me into this hobby. It's truly letting me get out of my house and doing something creative for once.
You need to get more stuff? You just bought shit for $2000! I want (nay, need) pictures of your painting!
You need to get more stuff? You just bought shit for $2000! I want (nay, need) pictures of your painting!
Well, that was a gift. The Carnifex was of my own doing.
So I finally found enough time between classes and Skyrim to finish painting my Daemon prince. Yay me. I have had a few battles with a friend on VASSAL. Starting to get an idea on how to expand my current army.

A Wargear ability or do you mean the Empyreal Abyss?
Noxious cloud, it's the Global special for Plague Champion. Globals being the stuff that uses the red resource. Empyreal Abyss is the Chaos Ultimate Global. Every hero has one unique Global (Well some give two depending on the race).

Small template that you can chase down retreating squads with to ensure they don't survive? I love that thing.

I never have played multiplayer.

2 Obliterators or 1 defiler against a nid army?
2 Obliterators or 1 defiler against a nid army?
Obliterators should make it fair. They should fire left-handed. Also, what if... Imperial Gene Stealer Cult. Take a Gene Stealer affected individual, and add in that strange affliction where they want to die fro the Emperor.

Isn't unknows for mutants and unsanctioned psykers to serve the emperor, and the whole Soul Drinkers chapter stuff (Although their whole dedication to the Emperor is just daddy issues) Although thinking about it, you could technically belive you were serving the emperor without benefiting the Imperium as a whole (Soul Drinkers)
