What about a melee unit/meat shield to distract Tyranids/Ork Boys/Guardsmen for a few turns? that way you can fire every turn without being interrupted. I would also take a Predator to smash enemy defences and support your Marines.
Chaos Lord and Daemon Prince. Yeah you might say that they won`t fit the role because they are lone units, but Chaos Lord can do quite a few attacks with his Daemon Weapon (2d6 for attacks + A stat) and the Daemon Prince... Well he`s the daemon prince. As for the predator, I used it a couple of times, didn`t find it useful.
I can't stand Retribution multiplayer, the match making is the worst Ive ever seen and Ive been paired against level 50+'s in almost every game. Its not fun when the only people you have to play against are those that have played the MP excessively for months. Its even more pathetic when you realize there are plenty of newbies but they still aren't be put in matches together. Ive played like 5 games and I have had one win, and every time I always lose because the squad AI loses track of its mind in one of those crucial battles that decides who is going to be running back to their base and then make hopeless attempts to take back the game. In the last game I played it seemed really even and yet I didn't kill a single enemy. Now I don't expect to be winning every match after 5 matches, but its not a good first impression at all. Whereas in a game like BFBC where you are left so amazed you aspire to do better.
race level means absolutely nothing as far as matchmaking goes as you can rank that in almost everything. What matters is the ELO level which is seperate from Race level.
You can say that I pretty much have everything, I play through Vassal. And I don`t really care about the Chaos Lord, you can clearly see that because I gave him a daemon weapon. Of Khorne, too. My opponent has like 20 genestealers and a doom of malantai. That`s all I remember at least. During our last game (different list) Malantai screwed me over badly.
Ah, Vassal. Excellent. Give more units Rhinos, and grab some more Obliterators, then. Maybe a Defiler or Vindicator for the blast templates?
Ah, Vassal. Excellent. Give more units Rhinos, and grab some more Obliterators, then. Maybe a Defiler or Vindicator for the blast templates?
I`d grab all of those but the cap is 1500 points. Anything I should remove and add all that stuff instead?
What would happen if the Erwin Rommel (Strategical Genius) would team up with Creed (Tactical Genius) on the same system on the same planet against the heretics and whatnot creatures invading the Imperium that time of the day.
What would happen if the Erwin Rommel (Strategical Genius) would team up with Creed (Tactical Genius) on the same system on the same planet against the heretics and whatnot creatures invading the Imperium that time of the day.
The enemy would be ambushed by seven Warlord Titans accompanied by 20 chimeras carrying elite storm-troopers. All from behind a light pole.
And the Emperor would be resurrected.
Since Gene stealer cultists generally get dragged into the partial synapse of the hive mind via the patriach probably wouldn't happen.
So if it is the Patriarch who is hit with the Gathalamor syndrome, we can end up with the entire cult controlled by Imperial Inquisition. Or for extra hilarity, Munitorium itself. And then Commissar rode Genestealer into battle.
so I was thinking, how effective would a chain sword actually be? Winner for Dan Abnett Zing for Aaron Dembski-Bowden Informative for Graham Mcneill or post others
Does anyone know who was the 2nd and the 11th Primarch?
They aren't named so people can create custom chapters with custom primarchs.

The one on the right is more fluffy. The one on the right.
It depends what armour and how sharp the teeth are. If it was able to cut a few slices off then with enough pressure and movement then the teeth might be able to work its way in like a saw. Although given how the teeth are short long and the blade can only penetrate a few inches before the handle part catches I wouldn't trust it to be very effective against thick armour.

Although, you'd have to be skilled because once the blades bite home, it'd have a tendancy to yank upwards if it got a grip on something. They're both fluffy, the one on the left, is Ragnar Blackmanes Frost Sword (same principles, just the teeth are made from the teeth of an Ice Kraken) the one on the right is a Guard issue one so much smaller. Realistically, I'd have the guard one, because a normal human would simply not be able to wield it. I'd say Dan Abnett and ADB are on a similar level, though their areas of expertise are different, DA is a damn good guard writer and an okay Space Marine writer and ADB is a damn good Space Marine writer and an okay guard writer. I went to the hobby shop today to play a game and ended up playing a 3000 pt game and leaving with a Defiler and a Land Raider. Oh my. [editline]19th November 2011[/editline] This defiler is really fun to paint.

So is Gaunt's Ghosts.
What is Warhammer and how do I even get into it.
What is Warhammer and how do I even get into it.
You are on the internet...
What is Warhammer and how do I even get into it.
From games workshop:
So, what exactly is Warhammer 40,000? In a nutshell, each player collects an army of Citadel miniatures then, using the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook as a guideline, they fight epic battles against their fellow generals. Dice (like you'd find in almost any board game) are used to determine success and failure: to decide whether a bolter shell hits its target, or whether a lascannon blasts through the armour of a tank. Each game is played, not on a regular 'board' but on a special gaming area where models are not confined to 'squares' but are free to move as their controller wishes. Because Warhammer 40,000 is not played on a set game board, tape measures or rulers are used to see how far a miniature can move - an agile Eldar jetbike can travel faster than a foot-slogging Imperial Guardsman after all. That all might sound a little complicated, but most Warhammer 40,000 players find that after just a short game or two they've grasped the basics. Seasoned Warhammer 40,000 generals find that the rules become second nature, and they seldom need to refer to the rulebook at all.
Fuck I just realized I don't have any blast markers or shit like that! I got a scatter dice (sort of) from Bloodbowl, but the rest I don't have. What do if you don't want to order from GW to get that stuff?
What is Warhammer and how do I even get into it.
A sci fi universe that runs on fuel of awesome. Originally just a minuature game but has since grown to encompass books, a bad movie, videogames, comics and RPG's.

One even has really good reputation, me and my brother go there sometimes for Magic the Gathering cards.

Even the rulebook says that another player should teach a new one.
