That was awesome. Definately one of his best ones.
Anyway, finished reading Soul Drinkers yesterday (I only bought it about 5 years ago) and it was pretty good, although the ending was obvious.

Oh, you zany marines!
I just finished painting a blasted standard with the Thousand Sons icon. I think it looks quite nice and it will be replacing the chaos star on the back of my Defiler.

Sure but how many shares are out. That's a big thing as well. Has the share price been growing, stagnating, or falling?
Kinda all important stuff.
Well... What is the colour scheme for the rest of your guards?
I don't have a guard army. It was just something I want to paint and put on my desktop. Maybe eventually I'll start a guard army.
That scream at the end :v: oh god

Oh by the way have an image.
Edit: Oh and yes, I recently picked up some bleached bone and I'm considering brushing it over the white cloth and the white on the DP.

White is a very powerful and dangerous colour, be wise...
I'd bone it.

Why no painted bases, i mean, alright, better than unbased but still.

Do you happen to have a list of painting tips that you've been giving out through the thread? Stuff like thinning paints and stuff. To lazy to look through the entire thread for each tip.

pretty much, or you could always ask me on steam if there's something specific that you're after a tip for. (or pm on here)

Well yes ofcourse, but I don't have the effort in me to explain all that shit :v:

Do you have any painting experience? I really don't think going after the biggest unit without any previous painting experience is such a good idea. Better to start small, and see if you're really up to the task ; Painting a Baneblade is a LOT of work, especially if you want it to look good.

I think the black looks fine on the edges. But what color would be better? One that matches the sand or something else?
I think he means you're supposed to paint the sand too
Yeah the sand and the rim of the bases. and really, the colour is up to you, do you want ash wastes, desert? urban environment, and yeah, generally you paint the sand and the tradition is to paint your base rims brown, although personally, i make it match whatever i paint the sand like.
Will go into more detail later, as it is, i'm going out now.
Ah. I would do that, but the sand matches the board we play on. Guess I need to pick up some sort of tan/brown paint.
Back to painting my Defiler.

Painting big is easier than painting small...
Mistakes are easier to see / clean
Well, if he buys say a chimera, which is cheap then he wouldn't have wasted too much money on the hobby.
Besides, the Baneblade is gigantic with thousands of details, an imperial guardsman might be smaller, but there aren't more details on it. In fact, there's a hell lot less details.
So, start simple and small, because it is better to learn the fundamentals (steady hands, attention to detail blabla) first and worry about big cool stuff later.

I have a small space marine army that I have painted and plenty of orks to fuck up with experimenting.
Sorry if this is getting annoying, but I think I gonna get this

Ah awesome, show us some pics! Remember, put the focus on the camera on the miniatures, roughly 20-30cm away from them, with white paper/cloth (white anything really) as a background. Light should come from slightly behind the camera so that it doesn't distract the camera.
For Baneblade, I'd love to see something like this:

It's never annoying, it is supposedly a great kit for starters, two good armies that you can build upon and all the necessary stuff to start playing.
Good buy, good sir!

plain sand on its own looks okayish, and I'd say paint the base rim either vermin brown or Dheneb stone in that case.
I'm suprised at the latest Tau Rumours. Rumour says about 18 new Units, unlikely though. How many did Necrons get?
I was looking for some good Eldar wallpapers , but i didn't find any...
Anyone got some good ones?
