The bad news is in the same post, it's called an obscene price tag.
This applies to all GW related products, so it's less of "news" and more of "constant factor".
On that note - are the vehicle design rules still allowed?
Just wondering if I could theorycraft a SOB melta predator based MBT
Not really, but if you negotiate it with your opponent it may be fine.
The price is why I've gone back to necromunda, buy 1 box of IG go through all the fun of customising and personalising figures and still have the full playability.
Plus older playerbase, I had to deal with a kid who didn't belive me that you don't measure before shooting. All of my rage. It's a decent place I've found though, nice tables compared to GW and you have room to move around. Rather than it being a cramped sweat fest filled with children and fat sweaty men with "austrian death machine" blearing at max volume.

I laughed when I saw the Land Raider with two twin-linked thunderfire cannon sponsons and razor tracks! That was so fucking awesome.

I saw the first few and thought they wouldn't be that good. I was completely wrong, they are awesome.
What do you mean thankfully? That's bad news not good news.
Because you have no self control.
I saw the first few and thought they wouldn't be that good. I was completely wrong, they are awesome.
It's funny, only yesterday I was thinking about lore and rule-breaking stuff that awesome anyway and my thought turned to the concept of the "Bane-Raider"
Well lookie what we have here.

Tho halfway through the book you kinda guess what's going to happen so it's not that bad.
Depending on how much of the fluff you know of you already know what's going to happen in brief.
Gonna read Galaxy in Flames and Flight next, picking them up on Friday.
Gon' be guud~

Life of a guardsman.
Speaking of which, does anyone know how to make/buy the Guardsmen shown in the pictures on page 260 and 261 of the 5th edition WH40K rulebook?

Cadians with significant conversion/kitbashing. Some Catachan arms/heads (although they look strangely well-proportioned). Pouches from the SM tactical sprues, and some Sniper Scout heads, perhaps, but again, I'm not seeing the usual dissonance you get when mixing SM pieces, Cadians, and Catachans.

Well I do lots of converting so if you show me what they look like I could tell you.

A Greek newspaper posted an article about Warhammer 40K, in which they slander the people playing as racist, xenophobic, sexists. There is a shitstorm brewing in the 40k community.
I'd say exterminatus on Greece but they're already doing it to themselves so...

Wait, so we are playing as Greece?
lol @ the Iron Cross comment, it's a fucking Maltese cross dimwit.
Either she's deliberately misquoting, or those greek players are some of the dumbest players I've ever heard of.

You misspelled "decsribe" as "slander"
You misspelled "decsribe" as "slander"
Then I feel sorry for you that those are the only kind of 40k players you've ever seen.

Its funny because I've been to multiple Games Workshops in my area and the people there have been some friendly people there. The people who actually work there know their shit and actually give a damn also about what they're doing.
Can anyone recommend a good carrying case for my miniatures? I really dont know anything about them
For reference of what I need size wise is:
1 Defiler
1 Land Raider
2 Rhinos
1 Daemon Prince
2 Obliterators
46 Troop sized Miniatures
Room to expand for terminator and troop sized units I guess. Some space for another transport or armor would be good I guess.
I just found out there's a games-workshop pretty close to my house and they regularly hold tournaments. If I didn't blow all my money on airsoft stuff, I'd blow my money on wh40k stuff

I've heard good things about battlefoam, not sure what your price range is though.

By the Emperor, how terri- I mean, heretical!
Just finished a game with Oblivious1, conceded on the basis that he didn't have enough stuff to break through my tarpit of Plague Marines. Have to say, they more than earn their keep as Objective Holders.

Well she's right, death to the xenos, the heretic, the mutant!
That journalist is about as profesional as someone on fox.
Can anyone recommend me some decent Warhammer books? I started reading Gaunts Ghost and I own like a good bunch of them. But I am getting tired of the Imperial Guards. Maybe somthing about the Space Marines would be neat.
