Eh, I always felt Tzeentch had the ambition thing down
according to something I read, Tzeentch hates Nurgle because while Tzeentch stands for hope and ambition, while Nurgle stands for despair and hopelessness. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] also because Nurgle keeps things alive, which screws with Tzeentch's plans.
according to something I read, Tzeentch hates Nurgle because while Tzeentch stands for hope and ambition, while Nurgle stands for despair and hopelessness.
Right but it's more like Nurgle represents the end of things and decay and Tzeentch creates things or changes them. Their conflict is that every of their action conflicts with each other. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] caught your edit
Done for the night. Got pretty far.

I wonder what Fulgrim had to attract Slaanesh He became corrupted after entering the [sp]Laer temple[/sp] and grabbing the [sp]possesed Laer sword[/sp]. He became obsessed with it, as it whispered to him and it drove him crazy, really turning him into an extravagant fellow, and from that point on he really did Slaaneshie stuff. But at a later point in the Fulgrim book, [sp] lord commander Vespasian confronts Fulgrim for abandoning Salomon Demeter and his company in a battle against the orks. Fulgrim makes him watch his possesed portrait and Slaanesh stares into Vespasian's soul, looking for evil stuff, but he finds none as Vespasian has a pure soul, hence instead of corrupting him as both Fulgrim and Slaanesh originally planned, Slaanesh orders Fulgrim to kill him.[/sp] This left me wondering, do you need to already have one of the 'bad' qualities from the Chaos Gods in order to become possesed by them? How did Fulgrim become possesed? Fulgrim just enjoyed fine art, he enjoyed perfection, doing everything in the perfect manner. Was it jealousy? Jealous of who or what? Not being as artistic? Of his brothers? I'm not counting the stuff he becomes jealous of after becoming mad with the sword, nor all that bad stuff. I'm wondering this from the apparent 'you need to be already bad to become corrupted by chaos'. If you don't have to be, then why didn't they let [sp] Vespasian live and corrupt him? [/sp]

Also 1d4Chan says he looked at Slaanesh and was all like "dude/babe/the fuck you're perfect" in that weird way a black box can be "perfect", then of course he got possessed like that.

So Fulgrim didn't become possesed the very moment he grabbed the sword, but it was the whispers that drove him into doing bad stuff and finally Slaanesh possesed him?

I'll just leave these here.
Fulgrim just enjoyed fine art, he enjoyed perfection, doing everything in the perfect manner.
He didn't just enjoy perfection, he obsessed over it, and obsessing over something that is inherently unatainable, is right up Slaanesh's alley, look at his conversation with the scultptor, true, Fulgrims Sculpts were technically perfect and techincally beautiful, but it lacked the passion and soul of true art/beauty/perfection, and he pretty much threw a tantrum at that. In short, Fulgrim was an utter douche. He was like one of those wannabe gangstas who thinks he's all that.
Fix'd But yeah Fulgrim was kind of a douche
Except, you know, pretty much most of the other primarchs were fairly alright, albeit a few weren't, but that was rather due to their upbringing.
Gotta get my fucking hobby table back. I had to move it upstairs last Christmas and it pretty much stayed there. But now there's actually stuff on it, but I need it. First world problems.
Damn! i cant decide what army too start, i got it down to these choices: Elysians Sisters of battle Dark eldar Tyrants Legion Necrons What would you say and why? Any thoughts are appreciated.

The basics are done. I think I'll paint all the weapons and accessories and let her pick which she puts on. Need to wait for the decals anyway. Needs some details and touchups.

Dwarf Flesh was as pink as it got on the GW website and I didn't have the time to experiment with different brands and colors. As it is it's still not going to be done by the time we exchange gifts but it'll be close enough.

I can't choose for you.
I choose the Tau because I believe in their principles and society. I think they're the least Grimdark race (which most people HATE) but to me that appealed to me. Add in their advanced tech, marksmanship, the ability to co-op other races into their Empire with diplomacy and the hint of Asian aesthetics and I had a match.

What I'd like to know is how Fulgrim showed this obsession before he grabbed the sword. So I just checked the initial pages of the book during the invasion of Laeran, and you can already see how pissy, authoritarian and arrogant Fulgrim is. This is what I wanted to see, as personally, after he grabs the sword Fulgrim's personality becomes accented and twisted and it's not really only himself anymore, but he and the sword. I guess as it was the beginning of the book I didn't give too much attention to it, but I find it interesting stuff to note.
