To be honest I don't remember anything like that from starship troopers. Roughneck chronicles had some walkers but different looking.

When you guys talk about books, you always mention ones like Ciaphas Cain and the like but it just seems like i was the only one that liked ones like the Blood Angels Ominbus or Ultramarines Omnibus. Probably one of my favorite series was the Last Chancers. Blood Gorgons and Flesh and Iron were good. Why's there no love for the lesser known books?

Fear the Alien has aliem stories, it's a collection of a whole bunch though (short stories) so it's not just like page after page of tyranids winning. I quite like it. Very different from "lulz spehss mehrines."

There's a few short stories that describe a winning invasion, but otherwise, nids aren't really fun to writ for.
I can't see how you'd make a tyranid book interesting, at least with the newcrons they have personalities and stuff.

Necron book about hunting Blood Raven Relics would be awesome. The Other way around would be better actually.
Blood Ravens being relic stealers is not really "canon" and I don't even want it to be, it's better left as a small joke and that's it.

I thought the whole thing about stolen/missing relics somehow coming into their possession WAS canon, though?
Read between the lines of the item descriptions in DoW II and onwards, and you'll see it. But it hasn't been explicitly stated that they're relic thieves.

It has though. Quite alot of their items are from other chapters, were acquired suspicously, or from people who don't even know they have gone missing. Aswell as a few chaos weapons.

I was thinking a story about the Tyranids would be quite interesting. One about the experiences of the soldiers when they first arrived or something like following a Imperial Guard regiment that's tasked with stalling the creatures as they fail miserably.
Or a horror that follows a single Imperial Guardsman sent to face the beasts, but his entire squad was killed and he's forced to run and hide from them.
