Are we back in the "Tyranids are completely unstoppable" fanboy jerkoff? They are far from completely unstoppable.
Are we back in the "Tyranids are completely unstoppable" fanboy jerkoff? They are far from completely unstoppable.
6 spacemarines and some buddies stopped an entire fleet :v:
One phoenix lord destroyed an entire hive fleet
One phoenix lord destroyed an entire hive fleet
*Swarm Besides, Maugan Ra is just that fucking cool. It's high time the Eldar got back to being the fantastic assholes that they are, and not having their Avatar get worf'd every BL release.
With the exception of undercoat sprays I feel like using spray paint is cheating. I watched a video on youtube of someone making a model and all he did was put two coats of spray paint with masking tape and called it done. I hand paint everything. On vehicles it takes awhile and I use really big brushes but I like it better. It's not a decent hobby if I spend $30 on a vehicle and it's done within three hours because I used spray paint over the entire thing.
Speaking of overpriced. I wonder is China does cheap W40k ripoffs. They can't be that bad, it's not like you're going to hammer nails with them.
They make it out of lead so you'd better paint them fast.
Are we back in the "Tyranids are completely unstoppable" fanboy jerkoff? They are far from completely unstoppable.
If worst comes to worst, nuke shit. Not like the Imperium is ever going to run out of super-big explosives, is it?
Necrons are robots made from Necrontyr by C'Tan. Rubric Marines are automaton armors made out of Space Marine traitors (I don't call them Chaos Marines because they haven't been physically corrupted by the warp) by Thousand Sons sorcerers. Sounds pretty similar to me. [editline]26th December 2011[/editline] That's all according to Lexicanum.
There's a few differences. Rubrics are more akin to wraithguard than necrons. The core difference between them is the soul. Necrons merely had their mind transfered, they left their souls behind.
Are we back in the "Tyranids are completely unstoppable" fanboy jerkoff? They are far from completely unstoppable.
Well once they usually hit a planet, they do tend to be. There's cases when they've been stopped though obviously with a nonexterminatus victory. The thing is, tyranids absolutely suck in space. So that's where you want to fight them.
Rogue trader ship.
Just have them have some minor imperial escort ship. A cobra with a gutted interior for storage might work well.
Hello Kitty Suit needs a Target Lock and Plasma Rifle and we're in business.
Ordered assault on blackreach and some paints over 2 weeks ago and they still havent arrived is GW always this slow with deliveries or is it just the season?
Ordered assault on blackreach and some paints over 2 weeks ago and they still havent arrived is GW always this slow with deliveries or is it just the season?
I'd say it's the season, I live in the middle of the fucking desert, and it only takes two days for the stuff to travels the 600 km from the closest GW. During Christmas I'd imagine it being much busier.
Are we back in the "Tyranids are completely unstoppable" fanboy jerkoff? They are far from completely unstoppable.
It's pretty much the same as your Empyriom pwns uber alles thematic. Nids were given uber bad guy status in ->fluff<- (not TT) in their last codex again, so apparently that's the way GW is swinging themselves, and as far as logistics go, they're the top of the pyramid and always have been, especially now that Crons are all touchy feely again. Get over it. They're the amoral gribbly space "bad guys." Every race has flavored strengths and flaws. What you're blatantly ignoring on purpose is the Nids' flaws are contextual, just like the Orks. Unlike the Orks however, the Nids are always over the horizon. You're never going to see the main force, you're never going to see them slam the entire galaxy in a giant ball of fuck, for rather obvious reasons. But the groundwork was laid back in 2nd edition and it's never changed, and Jes Goodwin's revamp put them right back up there in full force.

Are you always semi-angry, or just on FP? You missed my point, I'm not saying what the Tyranids are or aren't, I'm saying that Tyranids are not undefeatable master race and as soon as they enter the fray it's just game over as people say they are. Of course if we go by the codexes every race is the undefeatable master race.

"Every race" didn't hand Cheesehands McCheesyCheese said hands back to him in rather blatant display of downgrading.

When talking Orks for example, everyone admits that they will never band together enough, but Nids? Nope, they win in the end case closed. Also if you go ranting on about Nids being powerful when I said that they just aren't unstoppable, you expect me to not evade that argument (considering I wasn't even talking about it)? Also note that this specific WH40k thread =/= the WH40k community, before you tell me how it doesn't happen that much in this thread.
Played against a competetive player who's been playing wh40k for more than a decade and who was practising for a tounrament. DoW franchise is 66% off today. Needless to say anyone that doesn't have it, should grab it.
Merry Christmas from Papa Nurgle. If any of you d00ds care, I finished my first 3 space marines! (Ultrasmurfs, of course). [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/spess.jpg[/thumb] What do you guys think :v:

There's also nothing to evade. Nids have the logistical long game, attritional and ground-to-ground advantage, they suck in space, and they suck against Crons, the end.
Highlighting on the guns looks good, the marines could use a little of the same love so they stand out better.
Ok, how do I do that? With a blue wash, or..?
Highlight armor edges with a lighter blue then wash. [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] Oh and remove dem mold lines.
This 30 minute battle in Retribution sounds like it'd be a pain to do if you were hoping for the maps to just turn up.
Well I got some money for Christmas and I was thinking on either adding onto my existing army(blood angels) or getting into firestorm armada so I was wondering what would be a good buy for my Blood angels? I have lots of money from Christmas, but dont feel like spending any of it on anything gW related, whats wrong with me?!
Just found out about the Time Travelling Necron. I haven't read the Codex but i was under the impression it wasn't actually too bad. Not too sure now. Is there anything else that is like that in the Necron Codex? (As in stupid)
Uh what?
I have lots of money from Christmas, but dont feel like spending any of it on anything gW related, whats wrong with me?!
You realized what a waste of money it is?
You realized what a waste of money it is?
Not a waste of money if you enjoy the hobby.
Know what would be great? Steam Gift Cards. So I could buy the Dawn of War 2 complete pack :I BUT THEY DON'T EXIST
