Know what would be great? Steam Gift Cards. So I could buy the Dawn of War 2 complete pack :I BUT THEY DON'T EXIST
Amex pre-paid cards. Go get 'em, they're in Target.
This 30 minute battle in Retribution sounds like it'd be a pain to do if you were hoping for the maps to just turn up.
Custom Games.

Only Target near here is a 30+ minute drive :(
Not a waste of money if you enjoy the hobby.
Oh I enjoy it, and still find it a clear waste of money
Just look at the mass and volume of the plastic you get and compare it to the amount of money you just spent
This is why I need pills to sleep after buying a pack of models

Obviously you don't enjoy it enough.
I'm just cheap

There has to be a catch. Fucking seriously, £37 Elysian Drop Troops for £1+£4.50 shipping? I must be missing the small text.
Price is likely to rise once the bidding is close to ending
Decided I would test my painting and touching up models with Fantasy before moving onto 40k, I'm going to guess their isn't much of a difference between Fantasy models and 40k models (besides 40k sometimes using metal)?
Ok whats up with the Ret achieve.
Me and a friend were 1v1 practically AFKing on one of the listed maps for 40 minutes and didn't get the achievement.
This 30 minute battle in Retribution sounds like it'd be a pain to do if you were hoping for the maps to just turn up.
That's why you can do it in a private match with a friend!

One of you has to win.
Cool.
But why do they look like Necrons?
Maybe because they are actual skeletons as opposed to metal ones.
I was trying different designs but I'm not so sure. I added that design to the nose of my Devilfish but I'm not sure I like it.
I also decided to paint the Squad Leaders helmet white like I've seen other places.

Opinions?
Looks clean.
too clean
Yeah, it's well painted, but now you need to make it look a bit less clean and solid. Not too much of course since it's Tau, not Orks.

Something like that to break up the "solidness" of the paint on large surfaces.
according to one of my players my RT yesterday was a success.
They spent half the game aquiring cheese grates 2 cows and 160 square meters of grass to cover their slave-trading operations.
In the end they had 2 cows, a pile of grass patches, 150 cages with hay and one half-naked, very happy tau in them, an explosive-rigged ork freeboota and his gretchins living in a hut made out of cheese crates in the cargo bay.
today I have a game against a good wh40k player. 1500p he's doing 'nids

not bad at all. They need highlights and the trim needs some more layers on it.

SCYTHE. FLAIL.
I need a 4 inch tall figure of that.
Uh what?
You don't know about the Necron who can Time Travel? Orikan the Diviner.
He crossed him own timeline so he could kill some Silver Skulls Marines who ruined his plans and they therefore couldn't ruin his plans, because they were dead.

That makes no sense at all, because if they didn't ruined his plans, he would never time travel in first place and thus not stopping them. Nevermind, I hate arguments about time travel.

To be honest, time travel doesn't really fit in 40k in my opinion.
There's too much shit going on that even though you try to change something in the past, everything will still be the same old clusterfuck as it was in the future.
Any cool lads want to help me get the Dow II retribution achievement and have some fun together?
add me on Steam, Sasasing
Finished Galaxy in flames yesterday... Off to start Eisenstein

But warp travel already sometimes causes time travel
warp travel allready is technically time travel

also doodled a demon for a space hulk my PC's are scavanging on

as of now they are harmless. They either lead them into traps or just creep them the fuck out by looking at them with their empty eyes and then dissapearing behind corners into walls and leaving rust silhouettes behind.
They're what's left of imperial guard families after warp.
[editline]28th December 2011[/editline]
my players will propably capture them and sell them as slaves.

Ordo Chronos would like a word with you boy.
Also, I may be wrong, but I swear Doctor Who was in Rogue Trader.

I think time travel could work in a 40K setting, but it'd wok best if it had some kind of message at the end and nothing changes much when the protagonist tries it.
Time travel stories are at their best when they have bittersweet endings.
I wish there was a Tau update. I want to get new models but my selection is pretty limited. Most vehicles are just Devilfish with different attachments.
There are Fire Warriors. Crisis Suits with their minor variations and that's about it.
