Finally finished a Chimera I got for Christmas. Now Im looking to get a Leman Russ Demolisher, 3 Sentinels and a Manticore/Deathstrike kit all for £90, thanks to this stockist near me that does some sweet discounts. Used the rest of my money to buy Space Marine.
I wish I warned my mother more about stuff, the GW people tricked her into buying their glue.
Leman Russ Demolisher
Make sure you magnetize all the weapons :eng101:
Would Chaos Space Marines use Alien technology? Or do they have the same attitude against Xeno tech as the Imperium?
As long as they can 'corrupt' it (ie. put markings of Tzeetch on it/cover in blood and skulls/give it warts/color it pink and splash with cocaine).

First time airbrushing. Not quite done yet, need to let them dry, seat them together, see what needs gone over. Not everything is painted, either, because I didn't want to cover my hands in paint.

Just ordered a stormraven. Excited! Anyone have any Gray Knight painting tips or links?
Just ordered a stormraven. Excited! Anyone have any Gray Knight painting tips or links?
Take a brush. Paint the trim. You're done.
Would Chaos Space Marines use Alien technology? Or do they have the same attitude against Xeno tech as the Imperium?
I think it depends on the individuals. Like Ezekyle Abaddon, who despise all xeno form.
Take a brush. Paint the trim. You're done.
I want to do Grey Knights now :v:
Christ, I still need to paint my marines and orks. I only did one marine, came out nice. Takes fucking forever though :c

It takes me longer to paint a standard infantry man than it does to paint a Crisis Suit if you don't count the extra weapon bits. There is a ridiculous amount of fine detail on soldiers where as the larger models like vehicles and suits are pretty big and easy to paint without fucking up a million times.
Read some speed painting tips. Unless you want to win some golden deamons...
Well I do it as a casual when-I-have-time thing. Just saying that just the one took a day on its own. Practice makes perfect! Dunno what a golden deamon is though. You need a seriously steady hand and a bit of creativity for the little guys.
People rated me dumb + disagree when I suggested that people learn with larger models because they are easier. Now everyone is bitching about painting infantry saying it's harder than larger models. How the tables have flipped.

I'm disregarding this though and painting spare arms and shit on the Sprue still to get it just right. Then I can paint my 20 Plague Marines, Strip my other 20 Chaos Marines of their godawful paint coats, paint them up, then do my Daemon Prince, and march to battle with 40 of Nurgles chosen.

My first marine [t]http://i.imgur.com/nrgwa.jpg[/t] It's been sitting around for some time, so dust won't fuck off and I can't seem to get it off.

I just had a 5 hour game at a local comic shop. It was me and another marine player versus a chaos and tyranid player. I got my shit wrecked pretty hard by some thousand sons, damn AP3 bolters. Game was close all the way through, but they won in the end. Need more metal bawkes.
is it true that I would have to pay more for paints than I would have to pay for a, let's say, Tau Devilfish?
I was talking to my cousin yesterday about stuff then I brought up Warhammer 40k. It turns out that back in the early '90s, before computer graphics, he and his brother were really into wH40k. He played Orkz and his brother played space marines. He was also into adeptus titanicus. He was telling me how people went all out when designing sets, people would tear apart tanks(I might have misheard this part) and use them to construct space hulks to play in

In fact, I used them for just about everything terrain. The solution was always to buy more chocolate oranges. It was perfect.
Yeah, ripping apart tanks, nbd. Now days there's this wonderful thing called RESIN. Also plaster. Plaster is awesome.
is it true that I would have to pay more for paints than I would have to pay for a, let's say, Tau Devilfish?
Depends how many paints you want to get.
is it true that I would have to pay more for paints than I would have to pay for a, let's say, Tau Devilfish?
No. 2 paints, which is the bare minimum for "paint" to become plurar will cost you ~6 eur. A devilfish will go for about 10,329.99 eur [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] Also anyone heard any rumors about 6th ed? I heard it's coming soon and it'll focus on chaos. Gods may get their own books and the model prices may go up.
The Unruly Thing may finally have some use.

Right now I've just got like 1500 points of heroes (Foot and Mounted Archaon and a few other) and some knights. Speaking of which, I'm looking for a good proxy for a Champion of Khorne, anyone seen any good models that will fit the bill? Already used a couple of Avatars of War models for a Lord and champion of Slaanesh, and I've got plans for a Tzeentchian and Nurglitch Sorcerer, so I just need the Khornate Champion.

Look at Sternguard for instance, made out of a much cheaper material than before, still the same old models, and still £25.50 for 5 models, thats £5 each, for fucks sake you can buy a 10 man tactical squad in plastic for cheaper than the Sternguard.
