One thing you can be sure of is that the prices will go up, thats about the only thign you can rely on with GW. Look at Sternguard for instance, made out of a much cheaper material than before, still the same old models, and still £25.50 for 5 models, thats £5 each, for fucks sake you can buy a 10 man tactical squad in plastic for cheaper than the Sternguard.
The advantage with space marines and units like Sternguard / Vanguard is that you can just use some random bitz to decorate a tac marine, give it a different paintjob, and it's essentially a new unit. Only problem can be the combi-weapons and such.
I wish I warned my mother more about stuff, the GW people tricked her into buying their glue.
Same happened to my mother. They were all ''If you're going to be gluing large models like a Land Raider, surely you must need our plastic glue.''.
Eh, it's not that terrible. The glue is the same shit as every other plastic glue, just slightly costlier.
the glue I have is shit. The lable says it glues everything but so far it's very picky about the plastics it glues, but if it glues plastics it fucking melts them together. "forms a strong, slightly elastic bound" my ass.
chaos Khorne Exalted Hero? http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440108a&prodId=prod1160055a
That's my back-up option, if I can't find something better, like the Avatars of War Chaos Lord to replace the GW one, which I think looks nicer.

"forms a strong, slightly elastic bound" my ass.
Plastic Glue isnt really glue in the traditional sense, rather than sticking them together, it bonds them at a chemical and molecular level, essentially fusing the parts together, more like welding than gluing really. GW Plastic Glue, up until recently where they switched the formula (plastic glue thin) was actually damn good at doing what it was supposed to. Personally, I use cheap pound shop superglue why? because its cheap, you can get more and it lasts longer, sure, parts can snap off if the glue isnt up to scratch, but you can just glue it back on no biggie, and if you want to change your scheme/a model its piss easy to take the models apart, wheras with plastic glue, its essentially surgery that you need to do to get them apart.
The formula was changed? No wonder, then. Haven't used GW glue in a while.
It seems to, as it takes fucking ages for it to start working wheras before, it worked in practically a couple of seconds and gave you a very small amount of time to play around with it.

They mop shit up. FOR THE EMPEROR!
I either use Army painter or testors glue both are pretty good at getting the job done [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] Man those models are nice
I like that shine on them. Curious how they managed that though.
I like that shine on them. Curious how they managed that though.
Mettallic pain, gloss varnish and maybe a couple of nmm techniques.
Mettallic pain, gloss varnish and maybe a couple of nmm techniques.
Ahh. I'm too new to do anything that cool. But still, those are some fine looking pieces.
Too new to use paint on gloss varnish?
Apparently, Orcs have magic powers of wishing. I've read about an orc warband that flew a broken spaceship with no fuel in it just because they thought it should work.

Ive got 35 Sternguard right now, and only 5 are metal. Also, question of the day: how good would a SM Command Squad be on bikes with a melta (I use Sternguard for AT), 2 power weapons, Champion and of course the Apothecary. Im assuming that with 3+ save, turbo boost, FNP and 5 toughness they would be pretty good, although the lack of attacks concerns me.

God damn. I was given like $60 and I can't decide what I want. Either MW3 but I know what most opinions are for that. Hammerhead kit and paint for it. Or a Crisis Suit, Pirannah and paint for them. I can't decide.

A few days ago, I got myself some Dawn Of War 2 pack and I can't stop playing it. I didn't even finish the fist game yet.

Not a tau ship, not fire warriors, not a crisis suit, you've already done those. Have you considered buying a Krootox/Kroot Carnivores/Greater Knarloc or such?

I rather get like Space Marines and convert them to the Greater Good. Or make some Gue'vasa with an Imperial Guard kit. Oh also I finished my Hello Kitty suit with the exception of the other drone which is hardly a big deal. So, I'm taking opinions on a transport/squad. I recently purchased a Stormraven Gunship, and intend to outfit it with a Typhoon Missile Launcher, Twin linked Las Cannons and the sponsons. As for the squad inside of it, I was thinking of something like 1x Kaldor Drogo 1x Apothecary w/ Warding Staff 2x Paladins w/ Daemonhammer 2x Paladins w/ Psycannon But I'm open to suggestions. Am I putting too many points in one basket, or is this an appropriate striking wedge?
Downloaded "Firestorm over Kronus" for my copy of Dark Crusade and DAMN, it's lots of fun. I just wish the AI weren't so passive all the time, I don't like being overly aggressive and the AI won't attack you if you've got same or more army than it.
Stubled upon a /tg/ drawthread and felt obliged.
